I could talk for years about my keefitz thing. Like. Their friendship fell away so fast. I don’t think it was because of Sophie.

I think keefe was falling into heteronormativity. He has to marry a woman, and he has to have a child. He has no choice in the matter. He never had a choice.

I think he was in love with Fitz. Has been all along. I think his love for Sophie was mostly projection, seeing as she was more of a savior to him than a person. He thought of her as what the ideal wife should be. Who he Should be with.

he figures out he’s in love with Fitz at some point. Around the time their friendship starts shattering, he tells Fitz that he loves him. Fitz does not react well, as he was also raised under the heteronormative elven culture.

So keefe lost his best friend. And all he had left was Sophie.
