im watching dunmeshi episode 16 in french dub for. purposes. AND i was surprised by many things like for example chilchuck calling shuro a "salaud" in the scene where he comments on the fact that shuro is surrounded by women (salaud is basically like um.. something you'd call a despicable man I guess it's a swear word and slang and it surprised me i knew chilchuck could swear but holy shit that was a lot LMFAO) (also just for context he didn't mean it in an angry/mean way towards shuro because he said "mon salaud" so like.. my bastard? basically it's like hehe you little [salaud] you're surrounded by women now or somwthing like that LMFAO

but the thing that surprised me the MOST is definitely kabru.

in the scene where he talks to laios about eating monsters and pretends he wants to try, in the SUB he says "i appreciate that [you suggesting we eat monster food together]!" and then thinks "no good. he's actually serious about this".

but in the french dub he says, "awesome, that would be a pleasure!" and THEN he thinks "wait but why did i even say that? he looks like he's serious, too"

and that changes EVERYTHING to me? like isn't kabru supposed to be lying on purpose? in the french dub it's like he can't help being nice to laios it's really strange LMFAO
