Agnes Miranda Kitsworth
A tragic tale of love, loss, and beauty.
Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, all Agnes ever wanted was to be an artist. She didn’t have to be one of the greats, as she had no aspiration to be featured in a museum, she just wanted to paint and sketch for the sake of appreciating the world around her. Her family was completely supportive, and helped her through art school, and her art was sold both locally and online to some quiet acclaim.
But it wasn’t to last. Several years ago, she was diagnosed with an inoperable b brain tumour, and came to the attention of Dr. Holden Radcliffe, a transhumanist who wanted to find new ways to extend life. It wasn’t an entirely clinical relationship, far from it, as the two fell in love despite a significant age gap. Towards the end of their relationship, Agnes realized that he probably felt more in love with the idea of saving her than he was in love with the woman herself, and the two went their separate ways.
Eventually, she moved to Spain, where she intended to spend the last days of her life. She only took medication for the pain, and to her relief, her coordination was spared, sketching the local architecture until her final days, when SHIELD came knocking, looking for her help to find Radcliffe. Radcliffe himself wasn’t too far behind, offering her a new chance inside a virtual reality designed to be her perfect heaven, free of pain, where she could do whatever she wanted for as long as she wanted, without fear of death.
She took it with little hesitation.
Unfortunately, even that wasn’t to last, as she lived out her second life on an island with Radcliffe, until Hydra, overlords of the virtual world came and murdered her for no real reason save that she was the spitting image of their leader.
Obviously, most of Agnes’s interactions are either going to be before BOOM, or in the Framework, unless it’s an alternate universe.
