There’s something so inherently mystical about swimming to the bottom of a pool to retrieve something. Just gracefully swooping down with a purpose and puttering to the quiet bottom. I mean, yeah, I’m probably retreaving a lost toe ring or one of those soggy water ball things, but damn if I don’t feel like a mermaid princess searching for hidden treasure.

HEY!!!!

If your kintype is a villain or just super problematic? That doesn’t make you a bad person! Don’t let people shame you for it. Your experiences are valid, and as long as you don’t do anything villainous in this life, you still have all my love and respect!

If your kintype is from Minecraft or FNAF? Undertale? Anything else the internet has decided to label cringey and bad? You’re valid, and you deserve the same respect as anyone else.

If you don’t have kin memories? That’s fine! Not everyone does. Have faith in yourself, lacking memories doesn’t mean you’re any less valid than people who get them.

If you’re kin with the main character? Or maybe your/fan favorite character? Awesome! Don’t let antis make you think that’s unrealistic, having more exposure to a character makes it easier to determine if they’re your kintype or not, so it makes sense for people who have main character kintypes to find them out more often than those who have kintypes of side characters.

If your kintype is an angel? A demon? God himself?? You’re not edgy or pretentious for acknowledging that part of yourself. You know who you are better than some strangers online ever will.

If you go by the name of one of your kintypes, eat food relevant to your kintype, dress relevant to your kintype, etc. you’re valid. Never feel ashamed for what helps you connect to kintypes and feel more comfortable.

Don’t let antis or others in the kinmunity make you feel down for your experiences, you’re valid and I support you.
