Good morning brothers and sisters! God's promises never fail.
‭Proverbs 16:9 NIV‬
[9] In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.
Brethren, God never stops working for our good; no matter how much time goes by. If we have faith that God holds our eternity, we can have faith that He holds our everyday.
When things don’t go as we plan, hope for, or pray for, we can rest in the assurance of knowing God’s promises never fail us.

Good morning brothers and sisters! The word of God's grace is able to build us up!
‭Ephesians 2:4 NIV‬
[4] But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,
Brethren, Grace is unmerited favor. It is divine ability given to people who have no ability. It is divine favor shown to people who merited hell and the wrath of God. And so the word of God’s grace gives us grace moment by moment. When we eat this word, meaning when we read, study, and meditate on it, it nourishes us and causes us to be strong in the world. It causes us to resist sin and Satan and to walk a Christian walk.

Good morning brothers and sisters! Everything we do and everything we discuss ought to lead to praising God.
‭Psalms 66:8 NIV‬
[8] Praise our God, all peoples, let the sound of his praise be heard;
Brethren, we ought to be the kind of people who are preoccupied with praise. No matter the circumstance, we ought to end up praising God!
Why?
Because Praise will beat off depression. It will fend off despair. It will keep melancholy in check. And It will make us want to get up in the morning. Let us give God Praise at all times!

Good morning brothers and sisters! God gives us promises to keep us from worry.
‭Psalms 56:11 NIV‬
[11] in God I trust and am not afraid. What can man do to me?
Promises are to keep us from worry. God knows the way He made us. That's why so many of His promises start with "Fear not." Then He gives the reason why we shouldn't fear. Most of us are marvelous at worry. The Bible says worry is a sin because, at the moment of worrying, I'm not trusting. At the moment of trusting, I'm not worrying. You say, "Oh, I can do both at once." No, you may be worrying at eight o' clock and trusting at eight fifteen. You may be worried stiff at eight thirty and back trusting at eight . At the moment of trust, you stop worrying. At the moment of worry, you stop trusting.

Good morning brothers and sisters! DON'TTRUST ON MAN EFFORTS, TRUST GOD EFFORTS.
‭Proverbs 10:22 NIV‬
[22] The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it.
We can never bring about good success that comes from God by depending on our self-efforts. No matter how we strive and struggle, we cannot work for our own righteousness or attain our own forgiveness. Any success that we may achieve is only partial success.
On the other hand, God’s kind of success is complete, whole, and permeates into every facet of our lives; spirit, soul, and body.

Good morning brothers and sisters! Call on the Lord in prayer!
‭Jeremiah 33:3 CEB‬
[3] Call to me and I will answer and reveal to you wondrous secrets that you haven’t known.
Brethren, because of our sinfulness, God should never hear us. Yet, in His mercy and grace, God commands us to call on Him. As this is a statement about how good God is, it is also a statement about how bad we are. We need to be commanded to pray. Many times, we do not call. Many times, we do not call to God. Every failure in life is a failure to pray. We do not pray because of the weakness of our flesh. We do not pray because of the worldliness of our mindset. We do not pray because of the wickedness of our enemy. Satan will not try to convince us to pray instead he will tell us prayer will not work in our situation. Let's remember that the devil is a liar! Let us continue to call on the Lord in prayer!

Good morning brothers and sisters! Our God is a God of Hope
‭Romans 15:13 NIV‬
[13] May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Our hearts and lives are filled with joy and peace when we believe God for our hope. Doubt has no place in hope. In fact it kills hope. But when we believe that God is able to do exceedingly, far above all we could ever think, imagine, or even hope for, our hearts are then filled with joy; and with that comes great peace.
Brethren, Our God is a God of Hope. His thoughts toward us as His children are of good and not of evil, to give us an expected end. His plans are not of failure, hopelessness, or destruction. No! Let's not let our hope die.

Good morning brothers and sisters! We are not good
Matthew 19:17 So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
We enter eternal life not by our goodness, but by Christ’s. One of His commandments is to trust in His righteousness not our own. If we trust in our own, we will be judged by our own, and in the eyes of a holy God we don’t have a chance of standing for a second.
When we see Christians acting “out of line” let's not be so quick to judge. We are to help one another not stand pointing a finger. It is a struggle for all of us. And the closer we draw near to God and His purity the more we see ourselves as we are without Him, wretched, and the more understanding and compassion we will have for the struggle of others. God is judge. We are to encourage and exhort each other not because it is about being good, but when we walk in His commands and wisdom we walk closer with Him and experience more of the abundant life He came to give and His power is shown to the world.

Good morning brothers and sisters! Salvation is for everyone.
‭John 3:16 NIV‬
[16] For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Brethren, salvation is not limited to those we deem worthy of receiving it. We sometimes wanted to choose who heard the message of God’s love and salvation. But God is the God who saves and shows mercy to the unworthy. He judges and exiles Himself to the grave so that everyone who believes in Him can have eternal life. So whether you are Jew or Gentile, oppressed or oppressor, sinned against or sinner, there is salvation in Jesus!

Good morning brothers and sisters! No One is Good
‭John 15:5-6 NIV‬
[5] “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. [6] If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.
Usually our judgment of goodness is based on each other. Well I’m better than him! I’m better than most! I’m a pretty good person! But God views goodness from His goodness. And that is the goodness I’m talking about. No one is good against the standard of a holy, pure and perfect God. That is why God gave us Jesus Christ to stand in our place. He judges our goodness against true goodness; not our definitions which vary person to person. And His judgment is the only one that matters.
Brethren, let us do ourselves a huge favor by removing this misnomer of goodness. Any true goodness is of God and God working in us. It is all Him.

Good morning brothers and sisters! Why do us as christians seem Two-Faced?
‭Romans 7:18 NIV‬
[18] For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.
The reason is we are living with two wills; one of the flesh and one of the spirit. The flesh being our self-will and the Spirit being of the will of God. Sometimes the one we don’t want, the flesh, is the one that shows up in situations.
We do what we don’t want to do. When our self-will takes over, then bam we’re critical, inappropriately judgmental, complaining, hurtful, selfish, passive, prideful, arrogant, and so on.
If we are truly a Christian we don’t want to do these things, but we do and a lot more often than we want to.
Brethren, growing in the spirit life takes time. It is a journey. It takes time abiding in God’s Word, which is the nourishment for our spirit. If we don’t abide, then our spirit stays weak and the flesh dominates. It takes years for our spirit to grow even with proper nourishment; like it does a child.
As we learn and grow throughout our entire physical lives, so do we in our spiritual lives. We will never walk perfectly in the spirit while living in these physical bodies. So there will always be a falleness about us. But if we nourish our spirit, it will grow stronger and over time we live more in the spirit than in the flesh.

Good morning brothers and sisters! Our good work will be observed.
‭1 Peter 4:11 NIV‬
[11] If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
Brethren, we are going to live our live in such a way so that what they say is counteracted by how we live. They are going to say that we are an evildoer, but our behavior is not going to match the charge. They are going to challenge what we say because we are saying the very words of God. But we will disprove their charges by our behaviors.
As we have seen this in the life of Paul. He has all kinds of people making all kinds of charges against him. But Paul’s response was that he had lived his life in all good conscience before God and people. His behavior did not match the charges. May God help us to continue to live for Him!

Good morning brothers and sisters! Don't give into our fleshly passions.
‭Galatians 5:17 NIV‬
[17] For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.
As the people of God, we do not fight fire with fire. We do not return slander with slander. We do not engage in a war of words. We just keep doing good while they say what they say. It will make an unseen impact. While they accuse us, we keep doing good. Let our good works speak for themselves. We do good before God and before people so that their accusations do not make sense. We are not going to fight because we do not live for this world. We are living for the world to come. We are not going to give into our fleshly passions when they accuse us and slander us. We are going to do what is right before the eyes of God.

Good morning brothers and sisters! We must live for God always.
‭1 Peter 2:11-12 NIV‬
[11] Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul. [12] Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.
Peter says that our sinful desires and passions of our flesh are going to war against our soul. In fact, we should be worried if we do not feel that war because that would mean the war is over and our passions have won.
There is a battle going on in our minds and hearts. Our culture tells us that we should give into whatever passions and desires we feel. Let it be known that if we do that we are forfeiting our soul. If we give in, then we are not living for eternity and the world to come but we are living for this world.
Please do not keep this battle on merely a sexual temptation level. We are talking about speaking evil of other people. We are talking about venting our anger. We are talking about not having self-control. We are talking selfish thinking. We are talking about selfish ambition and asserting ourselves. We are talking about envy and jealousy. We are talking about drunkenness. We are talking about idols in our hearts. We are talking about being divisive. We are talking about not loving our neighbor as ourselves. We are talking about causing strife. These are the passions of our flesh that are making war against our souls. We cannot allow our desires to rule over us and they are battling our souls to do that very thing.
In the above passage, Peter reminds us that we do not belong here. Therefore we must battle against the fleshly desires. Please notice what else Peter said. He said we must abstain. He did not say that we can dabble in our fleshly passions. He did not say that we can occasionally dip in with our desires. To put this another way, when our fleshly desires are winning the battle against us, then they are stripping away our ability to fulfill the purpose we have been given by God. We are forgetting our identity and losing our ability to fulfill our God given purpose.

Good morning brothers and sisters! CRUCIFY SELF
‭Romans 6:5-8 NIV‬
[5] For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. [6] For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin— [7] because anyone who has died has been set free from sin. [8] Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.
You see the trend today is SELF IMPROVEMENT and this has crept into the Church with most messages orientated around improving SELF.
Now there’s nothing wrong with wanting to improve ourselves and wanting to get better as a person but the problem is that IMPROVING SELF is not God’s way.
God’s way is not to IMPROVE SELF but to CRUCIFY SELF. We, as men are sinners lost without any hope of renewal without God’s intervention and when God intervenes He starts by first putting to death SELF.
The OLD MAN the Bible calls it must die. This is why entrance into Christianity begins by being BORN AGAIN and to be BORN one must first cease to exist then be born.
This is where many people who claim to be Christian’s are not experiencing the Presence and Power of God in their lives because they are not BORN AGAIN.
SELF has not died and is still very much alive therefore the NEW MAN created in Christ Jesus is unable to emerge and its the NEW MAN that God blesses.
Brethren, the reason why SELF-improvement is only a temporary fix is that it does not deal with the real issue of a SINFUL and CORRUPT nature that simply can not be fixed it must die for the NEW MAN created in Christ Jesus to come alive. Let us be a BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN!

Good morning brothers and sisters! There is an end to all our troubles, trials, and temptations.
"Surely there is an end; and your expectation shall not be cut off." Proverbs 23:18
Brethren, there is an end to all our troubles, trials, and temptations; we will survive them all, and rise superior to them.
There is an end to all our enemies, and their designs to injure us. They will either be converted to friends, or be everlastingly destroyed from the presence of the Lord, and the glory of His power.
There is an end to all our disappointments and vexations; we will soon be disappointed for the last time, and shall know vexation no more.
There is an end to our sickness; it is not eternal. Our pains are of short duration; but our pleasures shall forever flow!
As we are thinking of all these, let's be grateful! Our expectation of being forever: freed from sin,
delivered from Satan,
raised above the world,
placed beyond the reach of sorrow, and of being forever with the Lord; shall not be cut off!

Good morning brothers and sisters! COME AS YOU ARE
“God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners” Romans 5:8
There’s a myth that says I’ve got to clean up my act before I can come to God: “I have to get it all together. There are a few things I need to get right in my life first, and then I’ll come to God.” No! We come to God with our problems; the good, the bad, and the ugly.
It’s like when we brush our teeth before we go to the dentist to have a teeth cleaning or when we wash the dishes before we put them in the dishwasher or when we pick up the house before the housecleaner gets there. Why do we do this?
God says, “No, no! We don’t have to clean up our act. Just bring it all to me. Bring me all your problems. I have all the answers. Come as you are.”
Brethren, whatever lack you may be facing right now, God loves you and He is your solution. Let's come to God God just as we are, and He will meet us at our point of need. We don’t have to worry about the mistakes we have made because we come to our Forgiver. We don’t have to worry about our sickness because we come to our Healer.
Let's come with the boldness and confidence like the adultery woman did. You will hear Jesus say, “Your sins are forgiven. Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”
