imagine being a skinny awkward openly gay person of color in a homophobic, racist, and overall shitty fucking catholic school. your perception of yourself s basically the opposite of what the people around you want. you end up working around every single rule and regulation designed to make you unable to be yourself. despite the agonizing burnout, the bullying, the physical pain, everything... you still go on.

cecils so fun to me because i love writing scenes of affection with him. he doesnt like close physical affection aside from sometimes just like rubbing up next to someone if theyre REALLY close, so having to find other ways to express it is very fun :) especially since i myself dont like physical touch 80% of the time
with bentley, they just sit next to eachother a lot. on rare occasions, cecils ok with bentley holding his arm! as well as that, the two touch hands a lot (not holding, but like putting their hands against eachother). if one of them is feeling high emotions, then they feel ok hugging very lightly
with his father, they dont express any physical affection. theyre both medium support needs autistics, with lots of sensory issues who hate touch. so at most henry will place his hand on cecil's shoulder. their affection comes from words of affirmation mostly.
with the rest of eutychus, he doesnt do physical contact at all. (aside from high-fives with tyler). he will instead express his affection by parallel play, words of affirmation, and gifts.
