My schedule finally started to calm down and I was gonna start working on the next chapter of Start of something new only to realize all of my users in the app im using are gone… so now I’m sitting trying to find the right pictures again to use😭

Dejuns voice was unlike anything you had ever heard before. It was so beautiful almost siren like as he sang his lines in Start of something new. You could only sit and stare at him in awe as he focused on the lyrics paper while singing, you almost did not notice the fact that some other people had entered the room as he just finished his singing. It was only when applause could be heard from the other side of the room that you two looked up, both startled by the presence of the others.
You recognized the head of the drama society, Eunji, Bora and Jaehwan together with Dejuns friend Kun.
"That was amazing Dejun!" Eunji praised Dejun while she walked up to the two of you with a bright smile "I'm glad to see you two already here practicing!"
"Yeah we thought it could be good to come here a bit earlier to just sit down and digest it all." Dejun explained with a smile
"That's exactly the kind of energy we need for this musical!" Jaehwan gave the both of you a thumbs up before the three of them went to sort out the rest of the scripts.
"That sounded really nice Dejun" Kun walked up to you both and sat down next to Dejun whilst giving you a smile "Hi, I'm Kun! Nice to meet you!"
You shook his extended arm and gave a smile back,
"y/n, nice to meet you as well! I'm excited to work with you on this musical. I have only heard great things about you." You noticed Kuns ears turning slightly red at your comment as he bashfully disagreed with it.
Time flew by as you, Dejun and Kun spoke to each other and suddenly the rest of the ensemble had arrived. Bora called for everyone to introduce themselves before splitting everyone up to work on some scenes. You and Fatou had so much fun going over the script, getting to know each other and discussing your parts that you had not really noticed when the end of rehearsal had arrived.
"We should totally meet up for a coffee someday y/n!" Fatou said while her arm was slung over your shoulder, you nodded at her.
"We totally should! Let's exchange numbers!" you told her excitedly, the both of you had really hit off during rehearsals. Fatou was funny, charismatic and charming in so many ways and the two of you had a natural chemistry together. After exchanging numbers and sns you said your goodbyes, you also made sure to say bye to Dejun and thank him for earlier before going out to meet Sejeong who had promised to walk you home.
"Stop staring after her like a hurt puppy Dejun."
"I am not staring!!"

Chapter 9. First rehearsal
Pairing: Xiaojun x fem!reader
Synopsis: As a drama student at university a lot is going on in your life with studies and creating work. On a whim you decide that signing up for the winter musical that the drama society is creating in hopes of getting a small background character to work on your fright if singing in front of people, especially on stage seems like a good idea until you end up getting one of the main parts in the musical.

You put the phone away as you saw Dejun jogging towards you with a bright smile. He soon stopped right infront of you and gave you a little wave.
"Hi! I hope you haven't waited here for too long?" Dejun looked at you curiously as you handed him his cup of hot chocolate
"No I've been here at a maximum of like five minutes and that's because I knew I wanted to order us both hot chocolate that we could bring to rehearsals! I hope you like it, they had a special today with mint and chocolate!"
"Nooo you're kidding! Mint chocolate is like my favorite thing ever!!" It felt like it should be impossible at how big his smile got at the mention of mint chocolate but it was quiet cute you thought as the both of you started to walk up the stairs to reach the right floor in the campus center.
"It's my favorite as well! I swear I could probably live off of mint chocolate." The two of you engaged easily in a conversation about the drink and your shared love for it and much sooner than you'd liked you had entered the rehearsal room. Dejun went over to a corner and put his things down before opening his bag and bringing out two thick scripts.
"I managed to get the scripts from my friend Kun who's helping out with the musical. I thought maybe we could just skim through everything?" He asked as he handed you one. You noticed that on the top righthand corner it was written in a neat handwriting Gabriella/(y/n).
"Thank you! I brought pens and highlighters with me if you want to borrow some??" When he nodded as you both sat down you rummaged through your bag until you found what you had been looking for. Handing him a mechanical pencil and a green highlighter you both opened the scripts to the first page. At first everything went well as you alternated reading the lines of other characters that were not yours. Giggling at each other's theatrics and sometimes commenting on things happening. It was all fun until you hit the first song.
"Do you want to sing through the song together?" You looked at Dejun who looked at you with eagerness. It was like he had been hoping you two would sing through it together before everything else.
"Oh... I don't know... I'm not that confident singing in front of people."
"Why not?" Dejun looked perplexed at that until he remembered what Sicheng had said about you being nervous.
"It would just be you and me right now. No one else and I don't judge. Promise!" Dejun took your hand into his and gave it a little squeeze as if to say that it was okay that you were nervous and that he was there to support you.
"I don't know... what if I mess up?"
"Oh you should know how many times I've messed up when it comes to singing. One time I was singing on stage but a wasp came right into my face and the scream I made was unholy. Sure it was a little bit embarrassing but in the end it became kinda funny."
"Really? But I've heard you're great at singing! So that unholy scream must have still sounded really good!"
"Nah I sounded like a dying goat but it's fine!"
While you weren't sure just yet if you had the courage to sing in front of him just yet, after all you knew he was insanely talented and rather handsome too. You were not ready to potentially embarrass yourself infront of him but you still asked him if he could sing his parts of Start of something new for you.
"Of course, sit back and relax and you can tell me if it sounds good or not!"

Got told today at work that I won't be able to continue to work with them because of the economical side of work have been going really poorly so from a month today I will have my last shift... the day before my birthday... so essentially if I don't find a new job before the 19th of January, aka my last day at work, I will be jobless on my own birthday... fun🙂
#I knew it hadn't gone well economically so I was expecting it in a way#altough I had hoped I wouldn't be let go of...#my hopes of moving out and getting an apartment next year is now ruined#wont lie I cried a tiny bit in the bathroom at work#and had to fight of crying for two hours before I had managed to tell myself enough times that its okay#at least I know they didn't let me go because I had done a bad job but more specifically because they cannot have me economically wise#but man does it sucks#no excitement for work the next month then#genuinely upset at it all#only good thing from today is that my dad picked me up and we went and ate hamburgers together to try and lighten my spirit#work#personal shit
