For most people, learning that humanity found ways to travel and prosper in different areas of the Stone World would come as a surprise. But for Ryusui, the fact left him unfazed. He thought that was to be expected of the human race. They wouldn't have been the apex species if they weren't driven by desires fueled by curiosity.
These were the same people who probably had desires outside of their comfort zone-- to explore the unknown beyond and discover what would seem to be the final frontier; the so-called end of the world. In line with that train of thought, Ryusui was relieved that as a person privileged to sail all around the world, the ever-changing shape of the Planet Earth meant that sailing was limitless as the starry skies.
"San Francisco, California... The home of glitz and glamor, the land of endless limelight- Hollywood! I remember walking down red carpets, mingling with elites of the entertainment industry. It reminded me of a time when someone couldn't get enough funding for their idea. But after I generously bequeathed investment- it turned out to be an Academy Winner! Ha-ha!"
Before Stone World, this was what the place was famously known for. To think that in this age, it would go back as a prime location for large-scale agriculture. While he would find some familiarity in meeting old friends, he couldn't help but imagine Senku putting these "celebrities" to work, which would be the shock of some likely fans from the Kingdom of Science.
"As expected, Senku. You're the only person who'd associate San Francisco to operate in agriculture," he chuckled, cupping his own chin as he pondered. In spite of Senku's scheming expression being out in the open, Ryusui barely noticed- as usual.
"I'm guessing you chose the place because of its fertile soil, its location near the waters, and probably logistics? It did have everything- from airports, sea ports, you name it. If we're talking about manpower, then it's a good choice, too." A pause. "Though, I won't be surprised if there is something about this place that no other place in the world does. We wouldn't go through the effort of going that far for something we can do right here... right?"
He grinned at the captain's enthusiasm.  It was no surprise that Ryusui was extremely excited for their upcoming mission.  As a navigator and a person with bottomless desire, sailing to the United States was something that would surely appeal to him.  Senku was counting on it,  in fact.  He needed someone with endless motivation to lead their long voyage.
“  Well,  there's no telling what we'll find once we get there.  We've been surprised before,  ”   he noted,  referencing their recent experience with the people of Treasure Island.  It wasn't outside the realm of possibility that there were people residing in North America too,  de-petrified or otherwise.  Even their best laid plans might be out the window depending on what they see when they reach the shore.
Accounting for all eventualities aside,  he supposed it wouldn't hurt to give Ryusui something to chew on for the time being.   “  We're aiming for California,  around San Francisco.  From there we'll have to find a farm.  We've got people who know how to farm,  but not at the level we'll need to sustain the population we'll have,  so reviving someone who is familiar with the logistics of large-scale agriculture would be useful.  ”
“  But you know our main goal will be to revive as many people as possible after that !  ”   A sneaky grin crept onto Senku's features,  one that could only signal one thing:  scheming.   “  Once we set up the farm,  we'll need a ton of manpower to work it !  We can't afford to be picky !  ”

"I won't deny that you're right, but I know it'd be worth it in the long run. Still, maybe I'd even go as far as saying it's worth fighting for, though not everyone will agree with it."
To put it mildly, his interests were... niche, but he had his reasons for it. He could see why Gladiolus took part in tournaments like these when they used to be held at Insomnia. The more Noctis thought it, it could have been a fun way to test out their strengths in an "official" manner per se. Alas, as ironic as it was, his status as royalty didn't grant him such privileges back then.
Tumblr media
"Then we better keep doing our best. My own friends are watching me, and I kinda represent my kingdom by doing this, too... No pressure," he said, feeling exhausted from saying that out loud. This wasn't some grand royal assignment, but it sure felt like it as he remembered that he was an-- the heir to the throne.
"..." There was a moment of contemplation. Noctis thought this was a silly idea, but since she kept bringing up about fishing... "Why don't you try it out for a bit, too? Fishing, I mean?"
Tumblr media
❛    this seems like a lot of trouble to go through for a favor, don't you think?      ❜ her voice continues to carry an amused tone, lighthearted as it may be, for a wolf in sheep's clothing must speak ever softly as to not disrupt the rest of the herd.  kira often prides herself in knowing more than she lets on, as though there was always a little bird whisperinng in her ear, but this one? she knows little to nothing about noctis, and perhaps that is what causes such intrigue, second only to his fighting style, along with his skill with his blades. ❛    all the more reason to keep going.    ❜
Tumblr media
her hands are clasped behind her back, a small smile 'pon her lips when she hears him call it fun. she leans back against one of the small pillars of the dock, ❛    as long as neither you nor i lose, then i suppose so.     ❜  the raven replied, ❛    you should come and watch one of my fights, then. i can't have you accusing me of having an advantage since i've already seen one of yours.     ❜ she teases, ❛    after you've finished fishing, of course.     ❜

Have you ever written a canon muse that you first thought of ‘meh’ when they appeared in their canon show/movie/book?
questions for the mun.
( ooc ) Oh, wow! This is such an interesting question that I'm even surprised at how to answer this, since the muses that end up in this blog in particular hold a special place in my heart.
From experience and how this character developed throughout the years from his canon series- I'd have to cite (1) Akaashi Keiji for this. I first wrote him in 2016, and I got into him because of fun/peak era that is the "Training Camp Arc" between different schools.
At first, he's that smart, no-nonsense, annoyed, tired :tm: kind of character, especially towards his counterpart (the team captain, Bokuto, where he's full of endless energy and gets into "dejected modes").
During those years, his character didn't change much throughout the story, so as much as I love him as a character, he feels kind of static- I only say that coz it's funny to expect that from a supporting character in a HUGE cast like Haikyuu.
Then, fast forward to years later, like 2020, I had time to catch up to the series, and I found out that the development the author gave Akaashi was insane, it just single-handedly reignited by love for him full throttle, and that arc of his had been the foundation of my characterization of him ever since. :'^)
What got me mind-blown in the first place? Summed up by this timeless post (posted by yours truly, haha!)

What trend would you wish to see on here?
questions for the mun.
( ooc ) Hmmm... I do like the "give love" trends that the rpc had back then, like those "follow forevers".
Although the modern (lol) equivalent is the "chain" letters of positive messages, because while some would consider those more low-effort, it is very apparent that those days could hardly be replicated because first and most importantly, we have simply all gotten busier with our lives, and we are more tired :tm:. So, I really like seeing those bouts of positivity exchanged in the dash once in a while. ♥
Being able to balance personal and professional stuff is hard. Now, I'm making the most of my writing mojo, and also watching anime (Log Horizon, and by accident yesterday: Death Note, too HAHA), and because of those, I haven't played games in 2 weeks, so YE.

Is there anything you would have changed when you started writing now that you have more experience?
questions for the mun.
( ooc ) My decade of being in this hobby has generally been smooth sailing, though I think in terms of retaining/keeping muse/s alive back in my single blogs could have been easier if I adopted what I'm doing these days- or basically, giving them more alternate scenarios. It's the multiple routes that give them much needed development.
Best example is with Law. I've had the guy as a muse since 2021, and it's 2024, and I'm still more than happily writing him, since I throw him to all kinds of verses. He's the longest consistent muse I've ever had, ever.
Nevertheless, I'm glad I decided to make this kind of blog, reviving old muses to rekindle my love for the series they're in, and remind my brain why I love writing in the first place. (It's happened recently, so I'm very happy writing-wise right now!)

What caused you to start writing? What was your key point?
questions for the mun.
( ooc ) When it comes to fanfiction, I technically started it on a notebook, writing a "good" ending for a pair in a show I've loved back in sixth grade. (If you know Ginban Kaleidscope, then you know what I mean.)
As for this particular hobby, it was with a friend where she told me there was an avenue for writing characters with other people-- and my tenth grade self was shooketh. Things were never the same afterwards, LOL.

Sarah felt relieved that Noctis didn't mind the words she spoke just now. It might have sounded strange for him if they didn't have any connection before, or worse- if he forgot their own bond, too.
Tumblr media
"Right?" She placed her hand against her chest, a warm smile gracing her lips. "Perhaps it shows that even if the mind doesn't remember, the heart can." It was also convenient that she could remember combat- or that, having never forgotten it in the first place.
"Since we're managed to check whether I can stand on my own in a possible fight, should we try looking for some clues now? I wouldn't be here for no reason." She cupped her own chin, pondering. "When we first met, did we ever find out how we even got to another realm? Do you think... that has to do with this?"
Noctis nodded in response. That was the cold, harsh truth of it. Once the affliction got that bad, there was nothing left of the person they used to be. It wasn't a nice way to go but a quick death was all they could offer them. The early stages of the starscourge could be treated, but once they started to turn, there was no reversing it.
Luna had told him that it was his destiny to rid the world of the scourge, but he still had a long way to go. He still needed to form covenants with the remaining Astrals, but it was hard to do that with the Empire on constantly trailing him.
Tumblr media
"Nah. It doesn't sound strange. It's actually kind of cool. Even though you don't remember it, our bond still exists. I'm glad that it does."

"!!!" This is--!
Tumblr media
Now this was a sensation he was familiar, but could never get used to: a link between souls, with their deepest and innermost sanctums exposed and felt.
Not only could Kamille hear Jude's screams as it all finally came out in the open, but there was unrelenting fury-- the repercussion of keeping his guilt and regret to himself for so long. No matter how much anyone else tried to reach out, Jude opted to take on his own demons by himself.
Empathizing only as a Newtype, Kamille understood where Jude came from. He knew the destructive feeling when he lost his parents and friends, but it especially hit hard for him when Four died in his arms. Ever since that day, he effectively lost a part of himself. Hell, even someone like Amuro lost himself after Lalah Sune's death.
By all accounts, he could have walked the same miserable road as Amuro. But, the lessons that Quattro and Amuro learned prevented Kamille from letting grief take over. Instead, he let it be a part of his life, something to guide him, to give him strength, as death wasn't the complete end for Newtypes.
While Law wasn't a Newtype, that wasn't the point. Kamille had to let Jude know, that no matter what- Law was always going to be with him.
But that wasn't all, since he managed to already tick off one from his mental checklist: Getting someone as elusive as Jude to open up about everything. Kamille felt lucky that he was able to get this much out of the other's system without the need to communicate via mental link as Newtypes.
As a precaution, Kamille opted for evasive maneuvers, his mobile suit presuming a defensive stance. Since Jude managed to unlock his own abilities, it was high time for Kamille to activate the Zeta Gundam's Biosensor. Similar to Jude's mobile suit glowing, his glowed a familiar shade of pale pink.
Tumblr media
"It's never too late. You can still turn back, Jude. This is your chance to make things right. You don't have to let yourself get through this again. This time, you're not alone." But knowing that these words wouldn't get through Jude without finishing what they set out to do, Kamille took out the Zeta Gundam's Hyper Beam Saber.
"Now that I know how you really feel, it's time to end this."
Raising the saber, he swung down to an angle he predicted Jude would move towards, as the enhanced length and power of the beam blade intended to deal great damage.
"Take thiiiiiis!"
It happened too fast. That... shouldn't haveー was Jude's first fragmented thought. He was shocked. On the ground, staring at the ceiling. Again. Again...? How could he let that happen again?! And, just like Kamille ordered him to, he was getting up. Maybe that was the worst part. But Jude had no pride. He couldn't worry about himself. He couldn't afford to careー
I'm not good enough to protect him, but you are? You don't even know him, you barely just met him. You'll neverーー
But Kamille did know Law. Kamille and several others, too. They'd spent time with Law, and had befriended him. They'd fought alongside one another, ate together in the mess hall, hung out together off-duty. They'd talked and laughed together. About serious things, about trivial things. It was natural, it was normal. Nothing had gone wrong. Everything seemed fine. They weren't afraid of him. They were open with him. That was why Law rarely roamed the empty hallways alone.
But when he did, he looked happy. That was why Jude couldn't be there with him. It's okay even if you're smiling without me. Just like the years before, Jude never told him that. And now he knew he'd been lying to himself.
Tumblr media
All I could do was watch. I should've just told you. Everything came too late. But something was rushing towards him. It was Kamille. Law wasn't here. There was a strange noise, and as Jude's reflexes took over, he realized that his ears were ringing. The Murasame had practically moved on its own. It was defending him, making up for his absent concentration. Making up for his inaction. Kamille was still attacking him. He was... also sayingー
The Law he wanted to see was dead.
"... He's never coming back." Something broke. How did Kamille know? But it was broken. Because I told Uso? Broken. Ah... That must be it. Like Jude, it was broken. I shouldn't have toldー Broken, broken, broken, just like, just likeーー
"[...] wrong... [...] Jude—" The static from that day. (I'll... never seen him again?) Himself from the day after that. SHUT UP! Of course I fucking won't...!!
He had to laugh. It was relieving, because he could finally say it.
Tumblr media
"And you know what the other truth probably is? Even if he's alive, he'll just die again if I mess up, just like before! A third time! Sounds impossible, doesn't it...? Isn't it crazy? But he's here. He's not dead yet!! And I can't tell him, ever. It'll scare him. That's why I.... I'm doing this for him. You get it, don't you...? So you're right! I can't let that happen!! Even if there's the slightest chance..." There was a slight glow. Something was wrong, and Jude went silent for a moment. At first, his words were inaudible, untilー "I can't... I can't... I can't, I can't! NO! I WON'T!!" When he screamed, the Murasame lost all control.

For twenty-five years, Aschvon's life embodied the mundane. It could have been that way in its entirety, if not for the occasional feeling of sheer, utter trepidation that came in sudden bouts. During these moments, he felt a mix of unbearable pain and dread that would only wear off over time. He didn't want to say he got accustomed, but only learned how to deal with it. It was how he got through life without anyone else batting an eye in his direction, where his greatest hope was never getting anyone's attention.
However, his efforts seemed to have been in vain with the appearance of this person. Saying things that would have made any other heart race, but in his case- he was... vexed yet tense. He didn't know who this stranger was, so he felt like it wasn't the right time to say careless things just yet. From the looks of it, this guy wasn't inebriated. Maybe just sick in the head. Or maybe this is his pick-up shtick, and he just goes for whoever he pleases?
"Uh... Nice try, but flattery doesn't work on me. You should've just gotten a hint from my voice alone, but I'm not a woman, in case the long red hair got your attention," he clarified. "But you said something about fate, though- and I feel sick being around... Perhaps those actually add up?"
hyunjae takes a step forward, his gaze locking onto the figure before him with a mix of curiosity and warmth. "seems like fate just loves to keep things interesting." he continues, a playful smile gracing his lips.
his eyes sparkle with mischief as he closes the distance between them, his heart beating a little faster with each step. "if not you then who else? but then again, i might have lost my mind and imagining you stood by me out of desperation," he teases, his tone light but infused with a subtle undercurrent of affection ( affection? hah. he's merely doing it out of boredom -maybe. ) "well to put that aside, lucky for me, i happen to enjoy a good conversation, especially with someone who seems to have a knack for making my heart race."
he lets out a soft chuckle, his gaze lingering on the other's face. they are too much similar, it is almost sickening endearing . "so, tell me," he says, his voice lowering slightly, "are you real, or just a dream that i'm not quite ready to wake up from?" there's a playful glint in his eyes, but beneath it lies a hint of ... something unspoken. dare he not to admit what it is.

Aresh could understand if someone like Prime Minister worked beyond the prescribed hours. (The King doing hard labor was unimaginable.) But even he likely knew had to balance between his personal and political life. On the contrary, Seiichirou had the hallmarks of an overworked workstock: dark circles under his eyes, pale skin, a thin frame... If fatigue had a personification, it would be this very person.
"If you ask me, you lack organization," he remarked, his tone lacking of tact. "Ever since I started doing paperwork myself, I learned that there are some documents that are of the utmost importance and urgency to accomplish." He then held up his index finger as if doing a lecture. "To be more specific, when it's most urgent and most important, then I immediately accomplish the task at hand. When it's important, but not urgent, I plan and schedule. When it's urgent but not important, I delegate someone to do the work for me. And when it's not important and urgent, I get rid of it." He paused. "Though I doubt you'll ever do the last part."
He didn't look any more impressed when he learned that there were people who could accomplish his kind of workload. In fact, he was irked that people in Seiichirou's world found this behavior acceptable and humane. He could understand that this was their contribution to society, but they deserved to live- and not live just to work.
"I don't know what 'intern' means, but I assume it's what you'd referred to as an 'accomplice'," he said. "But because there are hardly people here who match up to your standards, then obviously, you'd take more on the work by yourself. Efficiency-wise, it makes sense- but at the same time, it lacks common sense. What if you collapse or get sick all over again? Because you keep thinking only you can do all this work by yourself? Ugh. It's an endless cycle with you."
Aresh then felt like adobe bricks hit his head with the accusations thrown at him. Although he had gotten a bit more... frisky whenever the other male came home these days, it was still established that their skinship was for practical reasons (plus for personal reasons for Aresh).
"You think I'm awake enough to go ahead with that?" he sighed as he let go of Seiichirou from the embrace. "Unlike you, I can actually hold back from labor. I happen to plan and schedule since we both work during the day."
In spite of taking on the recently new task of paperwork, Aresh was quick to adapt, wherein the documents he worked had minimal to zero errors thanks to the previous instructions from Seiichirou. He viewed this as another battlefield from a bird's eye view, where he could see where the funds went real-time, and how much was actually needed to keep the order going. This way, other deserving departments (like the Royal Mages) could get more of the cut for fields like research and development.
Since Seiichirou was antsier than usual, Aresh had no choice but to compromise for the meantime. He couldn't believe he was doing this, but he changed his posture to that to of a knight's, his palm placed on his chest. "At the very least, let me accompany back to your room, just to make sure you'll sleep. I'll be hands-off the entire time, that I can assure you. Knight's honor. Please, Seiichirou."
it wasn't an obsession. never had been. never really was. it fascinates him how different these worlds were. he was tired, exhausted and would love to cook his own meals. get off on time but he'd been so poised by his own country's ethic and social norm that getting off on time truly felt like betrayal at this point.
it could be described as a bad habit. bad habit of social norms indeed. "it's not that bad. i just don't like returning to work with plenty of leftover work from the previous day that should have been already done. it's the boss that should stay late not his employees...well I am sort of both but more the other than authority.." maybe frustration was seeping through in between his words. he'd really just stay until his desk was empty. the first to arrive and last to leave.
grey eyes faced the taller man, seii was obvious uneasy with his situation but he's been getting used to it over the years. where he was once young and without experience he used his knowledge of overwork and his numeric attention to his advantage now.
if he could return home, he'd probably fall back into the toxic ethic he had currently going on that his opposite tried to break so badly and in fact was doing very well with. it stressed the man. maybe unbeknownst to himself, but it was rooted in him. seiichirou still laughed it off now but who knows when he will finally burst in anger.
" all I am doing right now is not even close to what I was doing at home. it's much more complicated. every intern could do these things.." of course he did not give himself credit but he was proud of his work and the plans he had worked out so far.
all that arguing was giving him a headache and it didn't help that much to his disarray his body reacted as it wanted. jaw clenched, sight just a tad blurry from not wearing his glasses but able to still see enough to not trip over anything as he tried to flee back to his room. tried. warmth wrapped around his wrist. almost a very pathetic try so to say.
barely a blink of his eyes before he was trapped by aresh once more. the thin layer of clothing between them did nothing. he could feel every single of his well trained muscles on his chest. if one could see them, seii was definitely the woman in this scene. hands resting on the others chest, as if he wanted to fight to his very last breath to get his arm off of him.
"n-no.." he stuttered. his face turning a darker crimson by the second. as if this was so new to him. " I said I was going to sleep. you'd just go for a second round like a horny teenager. " tongue faster than his brain, speaking words he did not necessarily mean but they weren't so wrong. he obviously needed aresh' help due to his fragile body. ( something he had brought upon himself while overdosing on that potion, so he was to fully blame here. )
the raven haired wasn't strong in any sense, hell, he hadn't even considered cardio in forever only rushing up the escalator stairs in the morning from the station towards earth where he'd rush towards his office, out of breath consuming coffee in mass.
" let go of me! " although his body did say otherwise, reacted to every single of his touches whether he liked it or not his voice was relatively steady. he felt like a five year old arguing over sweets. it was late and for once seiichirou actually wanted to sleep. he wasn't exhausted from work but from the daily magical acclimatization he had to go through. " ever thought about the fact that I want some privacy as well? what was I given a room for? " even if he wanted to he could not focus on any numbers by now anyway.

Blinking a few times, Soujiro realized he stood corrected. Still, he couldn't help but wonder if Shiroe couldn't let loose because he was a Guild Master. Or then again, it could just be in his nature, judging from his admission. If that was the case, then Soujiro could assume he had a better chance due to their history, and their connection from being Guild Masters.
Regardless of assumptions, Soujiro figured that as long as they were content with how things were, it ought to be fine. Since he already heard from Shiroe himself that they were indeed friends, he wasn't going to dwell on it any further, his chest already swelling with contentment.
"Ah... Right." Soujiro let out a sheepish chuckle. Even he knew that he wouldn't go against what were just facts. "Naotsugu-senpai's honesty could have been his charm if he was open about literally anything else," was the best statement he could come up with to compliment and dismiss those tendencies at the same time.
"I guess we're 'Clean Up Crew Party' now!" He laughed, unaware of the redundancy with the hypothetical name. "Too bad it doesn't roll off the tongue as easily as 'Debauchery Tea Party'." He then scratched his cheek. "Ah, even saying the name slips off the tongue naturally, as weird of a name it is. I guess it's one of those things that 'aged like wine' as people on the forums say it?"
He was almost caught off guard with Shiroe rejecting the idea of Krusty as a guest of honor, but he also understood why. From his perspective, Krusty was sort of Shiroe's rival, in a sense. Their battlefield was between great minds, a world that Soujiro preferred to be left out of.
"Practicality-wise, you're right," he chortled. "Without Krusty-san in the picture, hmmm... If we're going to use real life comparisons, then he's like the King, and you're the Prime Minister!" When he thought his words lacked a little more tact than usual just now, he averted his gaze as his expression showed a semblance of nervousness. "O-Or something like that! As if that's the case! What do I know anyway? Ha-ha!"
Shiroe had been expecting an earnest response like that. When it comes, he expects to take it inwardly with his usual mild cynicism, but Soujiro's words prove to be more effective than he'd been anticipating. That in and of itself shouldn't have really been a surprise---there's a reason for Soujiro's general popularity, after all, and Shiroe knows most of it stems from his personality---but Shiroe knows he isn't exactly an easy person to move, and so had been expecting the worst. Instead...
Well, I think I sort of understand the girls who fawn over you a little bit better, Soujiro. Haha.
He leaves that thought unvoiced (for obvious reasons), but the amusement it leaves him with manifests in his expression. "Yes, we're definitely friends," he says, "but I think you're probably overestimating 'the rest'... The only one I've really ever been that careless with before is Naotsugu. I'll be honest in exchange; I think I have a more difficult time letting loose about that kind of thing than most people. And, frankly, the only reason I'm that careless with Naotsugu is because he's a complete idiot who doesn't care how he sounds to other people."
Not that Shiroe actually thinks that about Naotsugu, but the joke flows easily in the conversation, and it's familiar to him. In fact, even with the addition of Akatsuki into their lives, Shiroe is still probably the person who's made the most disparaging remarks about Naotsugu in the time they've known eachother.
As Soujiro carries on, pointing out the reality of the situation, Shiroe lets out an amused huff of air---still clearly riding on the pleasant mood the turn in conversation had supplied him with.
"Yes, it's a little like that, isn't it...?" He muses. "Or we might just be a crew of janitors cleaning up the hotel room before its next guests arrive. Well, I wouldn't mind thinking of Kanami as a guest of honor. It's Krusty I don't want to say that about, even though everyone else would probably disagree."
Of course, Shiroe doesn't dislike Krusty. It's only that Krusty sometimes evokes the feeling of the sort of person who'd somehow know exactly the sort of things Shiroe says about him while he isn't there, and then he'd hold it over Shiroe's head forever.
Even so, Shiroe reluctantly admits, "I'll probably feel better once he's back though. It's been a lot more stressful without someone as good at he is at being our public face."
