CAE LA FINA LLUVIA

El otro día mientras creaba esta serie de collages con fotografías que tomé en el rastro de Madrid hace unos meses sonó de repente una canción con una letra que dice “Cae fina la lluvia por el camino y desesperado para siempre me voy. Yo no la siento estoy fuera de todo pero paso por paso me voy…” Y ese momento me pareció mágico. Creo que en ocasiones hay como pequeñas conexiones extrañas que te hace preguntarte si todo está conectado de alguna forma.

THE FINE RAIN FALLS

The other day while creating this series of collages with photographs I took at the Madrid flea market a few months ago, suddenly a song played with lyrics that say "Fine rain falls along the road and I go forever desperate. I don't feel it, I'm outside of everything but step by step I go..." And that moment seemed magical to me. I believe that sometimes there are like little strange connections that make you wonder if everything is somehow connected.

INTENTAR CAPTURAR EL TIEMPO

La eterna e infinita lucha del ser humano por intentar vivir cada momento con gran intensidad y con deseo de que nunca acabe. De que nuestros padres duren para siempre, el amor de nuestra vida o nuestros hijos estén siempre ahí. Ese domingo en familia en la casa de campo donde cada segundo vale oro…

Intentar capturar el tiempo es una serie de obras creadas a partir de fotografías encontradas en una casa abandonada cerca de Madrid y unas antiguas trampas de pájaro. Todas esas fotografías estaban tiradas en una enorme habitación, mojadas y llenas de moho. Todos esos recuerdos se iban diluyendo entre la humedad.

Parece que el proyecto que llevo a cabo desde hace un par de años donde trabajo con las fotografías que encuentro para dignificar la vida de cada una de las personas que en ellas aparecen me persigue.

TRYING TO CAPTURE THE TIME


The eternal and infinite struggle of humanity to live each moment with great intensity and a desire for it never to end. Hoping our parents last forever, the love of our life, or our children always be there. That Sunday with family at the countryside house where every second is worth its weight in gold.

Trying to stop time is a series of artworks created from photographs found in an abandoned house near Madrid and some old bird traps. All those photographs were scattered in a huge room, wet and covered in mold. All those moments were dissolving in the dampness.

It seems like the project I’ve been working on for the past couple of years, where I use found photographs to dignify the lives of the people who appear in them, is haunting me.

Introducción En Luc-Sur-Orbieu nos recomendaron visitar una playa en Narbona. Un paraje muy natural y con una playa extensa así que no dudamos en ir al día siguiente. Cuando amaneció había llovido bastante pero todas esas gotas añadían un poco más de improvisación al viaje.

Nudo El camino hasta el mar estaba lleno de preciosos cardos secos, ramas y miles de caracolas blancas secas. Anduvimos dejando atrás a una especie de neblina la cual nos transportaba a una película antigua en blanco y negro. Sólo escuchábamos el sonido de nuestros pasos rompiendo la arena a cada paso.

Desenlace El tiempo se torció y trajo con ello la escasez de luz y calor. Fue como una llamada para adentrarnos en el camino de vuelta olvidando a los cardos, las ramas y las caracolas.

Introduction In Luc-Sur-Orbieu town, they recommended us to visit a beach in Narbonne. A very natural spot with an extensive beach, so we didn’t hesitate to go the next day. When it dawned, it had rained quite a bit, but all those drops added a bit more improvisation to the journey.

Knot The path to the sea was filled with beautiful dried thistles, branches, and thousands of dry white seashells. We walked, leaving behind a kind of mist that transported us to an old black and white movie. We could only hear the sound of our footsteps breaking the sand with each step.

Outcome The weather turned and brought with it a shortage of light and warmth. It was like a call to venture back on the path, leaving behind the thistles, branches, and seashells.
