These three books are gender neutral. The biggest problem with female covers is men are embarrassed to be seen reading them. A good thing with these books is that a female or male could read these books and not have to be self conscious on what other people are thinking about them. Men might enjoy a book with a female cover but he might never know unless he picks it up,but he won't if it has a girly cover. If the cover was more for men or women either way the inside would be the same and the same people would enjoy the book if they actually read them.

Why gender neutral book covers matter!
There have been many issues with book covers and how they are not gender neutral.  This is a major problem because readers who won’t read a book because of the cover are missing out on many things.  For example they are possibly missing out on books that have stories that they can relate too.  Also by not reading a book because the cover is “girly” or “manly”, they are missing out on the emotions and feelings the story conveys.  Reading books allows us to have empathy and can help us with different situations throughout life.  Novels like 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher shows us why gender neutral covers matter.  This novel has a girl on the front cover and most males will not read this book because of that.  Just because of the cover males are missing out on an incredible story, which is narrated by a male and shows many different life lessons and situations.  Gender neutral book covers are important because people are missing out on very valuable and helpful stories.
