sometimes we are childish. sometimes we do something our 16 year old self would have done, think something our 11 year old self would have thought, cry like our 7 year old self would have cried. why is this so embarrassing? why does it make us feel such shame? when you’re 20, 30, 40, are you not also every age you’ve been before? do all of your previous incarnations not still live inside of you?

my dad died and so life goes on around that. I feel like the rug is pulled from under my feet and everyone else gets to live fulfilling lives. Im left with an emotionally immature manipulative and unavailable mother, and my all my exes post happily on instagram. I'm inheriting a large sum of money that'll all go into paying off the house, and ultimately I'm left with nothing else. expect maybe the hope my brother will axtually be a brother and not just another person I cohabitate with. my mother will never change, and I'm devistatingly left knowing that my dad was on his way to changing for the better, for the sake of having a relationship with his daughter. i resent everyone who's happy. I resent everyone who doesn't feel phased by the pandemic. I wish I could scream until my throat is raw. but I'll drown my sorrows once again in a blunt. I'll forget about how angry I am, until the sun rises again. and again and again, until the sun rise makes me smile again. for now, I'll try to forget about everything else and get lost in the feeds of the 5 apps I have on rotation. until then, I'll just keep feeling guilty about all the times i could've been nicer to my dad.

my mom tested positive for covid a few days ago and I was with her a few days before that. so now I'm quarentining waiting for my results. if I'm positive I'll stay with her. I cannot believe this is happening to me.
