It must be very lonely in that castle. Do you have any visitors or guests?
Épée Sanglante looks up to you from the book splayed upon the mahogany table before her, an eyebrow cocked at the inquiry. It was not often she gave thought to the concept of 'loneliness' for perhaps she has simply grown used to the lack of any other souls wandering within her halls, or a more simplistic explanation would be perhaps she didn't consider herself to be in the first place. There would always be a loneliness that burned Joséphine's heart as terribly as holy water upon her skin but it was of a familiar sort, one that has afflicted her since the day it happened all those centuries ago, yet there was at least comfort that upon the fated reunion, for surely there is no other alternative, that lonely and burning grief would be mended. Until then however, the Vampire kept herself… perhaps distracted would be the correct word, as if she was always distracted, any other variation of that loneliness would not be able to affect her. Reading, as she was now, was one such distraction. Carnal pleasures were another, but perhaps that's a story for another ask, right Anon?
"Lonely? Myself?" Épée Sanglante questions as though the inquiry came as a surprise, her tone expressing a mild form of this. “Why darling, I can’t say that I am. I suppose it would be easy to presume this considering the... ominous location of my home and lack of visitors due to this,” The woman speaks in reference to the large and admittedly dark and ‘creepy’ forest that surrounds it, where nooses still hang from scraggly tree branches and stakes still smolder in hot coals, “But I am most certainly not lonely here, my dear. I have all the company a girl could ever wish for!”
Joséphine’s cerulean gaze flicks away from yours to one of the exquisitely gilded framed photographs hanging on the wall, a semblance of a small smile forming upon her rouge lips; her gaze lingering upon it for a long moment before finally looking back at you.
“Besides,” The Vampire’s smile grows larger, her canines prominent and practically glowing in the surrounding candlelight. “I have been receiving more visitors lately like your little self. It’s quite fascinating really, were I aware of the new and… interesting thoughts mortals have towards creatures of the night such as myself, perhaps I would not have gone through such lengths to hide what I truly am!”
Épée Sanglante closes her book gently and tilts her head slightly at you in a welcoming manner, “My dearest little Anon, you... are privy of what I am, hmm?”
She stands with a laugh, that fanged smile never once leaving her visage.

@ask-mlle-desaulniers from x
---
The pause before the Photographer’s response is not lost to Joséphine and another light chortle echoes from her at this. How fascinating to meet another of herself! What hopes and aspirations does this Joseph possess? What are their thoughts upon meeting a literal vampiric version of themself? Surely, if anything, they certainly must be finding some amusement in her appearance with such a lengthy pause before speaking! Though this is typically the norm for any and all who gaze upon her visage, why would another version of herself be any different?
But perhaps they were looking for a different reason however and not just at the usual physical attributes of her appearance as most others do...
Whatever the reason, Épée Sanglante can’t help but find much fascination in this ‘other Joseph’ and finds herself staring for a moment or so as well in return. Is this the appearance the Vampire, herself, bore in life? As something so full of that life and ambition? Untainted by the rot and decay of death that ever constantly gnaws upon her very flesh and bones even now? She cannot recall what being ‘alive’ is like, for it has been far too long since she has been, God knows how many centuries its been since her heart has uttered a single beat after all, but as Joséphine stands before this... much shorter version of herself, a bit of that prior life seems to run its way through her stilled veins.
“In awe of my beauty darling?” The woman offers after Joseph speaks, clear amusement evident in her tone. “Should you wish to view something equally charming, you'd have only but to look in a mirror! I'm quite certain you still can!” A wink and laugh follow these latter statements.
It’s unusual for Épée Sanglante to make such an obvious tell of what she really is, but seeing as she was not making any current attempts to hide it, she sees no qualms in doing so. Besides, with their own next statements, it would seem Joseph, themself, did not seem to mind, at least apparently anyway.
“Oh?” Joséphine exclaims in surprise, “You would invite me in dear? Well! How very sweet of you! My, and I hadn’t even introduced myself yet! You may refer upon me as Joséphine, honey. Countess Joséphine Desaulniers. Though I’ve no doubt your name to perhaps be similar to this, but, may I inquire what you would wish for me to call your darling little self?”
Now, it was not often one so freely invited the undead into their home and so Épée Sanglante can’t help but feel a bit surprised by the fact the Photographer did. Inviting such an obvious threat into one’s home! This version of herself was proving more and more interesting by the second! Or perhaps Joseph was aware of the... ‘rules’ that came with all vampiric creatures and knew their guest would not be able to enter without proper permission. Whatever the reasoning though, the Vampire certainly had no complaints, this was the most entertaining thing she’s seen in the last century!
Thus, the wolf in sheep’s clothing enters the abode after a polite bow.
But... was the owner of this abode not also a fellow wolf?
“How glad I am to see you also have such a superior taste in interior decorating as myself! I’m quite positive this is quite an apt location for the discussions between your darling self and I.” Joséphine pauses for a second before continuing, she had not missed where the Photographer had been looking when speaking to her.
The Vampire’s fanged smile seems to grow larger.
“Goodness, what a quaint little camera! Why, it’s almost as cute as its owner!”

Y'all ever see a person so beautiful you started cryin'? Yeah that's me right now oh sweet lord you're gorgeous
[from @idv-ask-aquariumworker]
A tinkling golden bell of a laugh bubbles from the chest and throat of Épée Sanglante upon the hearing of these words; the back of the Vampire’s right hand covering her mouth as her head is tossed back in utter amusement, dove-white hair being tossed as a lion’s mane with the action. Goodness! Now this isn’t the first time Joséphine has heard such a thing, in fact, she’s quite used to it (it strokes her quite massive ego in all the right ways, after all), but this is the first time the woman has ever heard it spoken here of all places. How strange it is to hear such a compliment in the middle of a Game! Normally her dearest little Survivors would remain in silence at her pursuit of them, most likely wishing to save breath, or at the very least cursing her name for what she is about to do to them. Yet here she was, her sword, that silver-toned extension of herself which was poised to strike the Survivor before her, being lowered at what they say.
Truly this is all that one needs to do to ‘stun’ Épée Sanglante. One does not need a special Ability or pallets, mere words of praise and flattery, however genuine, are all it takes to preoccupy her.
Though it is best to be cautious in this approach, as the woman may just do so back.
“Ah, merci beaucoup ma chérie! Aren’t you just a little darling!” Joséphine replies from rouge-stained lips once she lowers her hand, her tone expressing much gaiety. “My beauteous appearance has caused the tears of both men and women alike to spill quite freely, but whether these be from pain or pleasure is truly anyone’s guess.” The Vampire saunters a bit closer, though still respecting personal space. “How wonderful it is to find such a dear soul as yourself to lavish these words upon me in such a way, I fear these sentiments have been sorely lacking since my arrival to this utterly wretched Manor. Do they not see a beautiful woman when she is standing before them?”
Though she needs not to breathe, a huff of annoyance escapes Joséphine, but it is quickly replaced with a genuine albeit fanged smile.
“For your treasured compliments, let’s just say the Dungeon shall not be watched over by the Hunter for the remainder of this Game, hmm?”
A wink is presented with this statement as Épée Sanglante retreats once more into her beloved Camera World.

damn ya ass fat what’s ya pronouns 👀
A perfectly trimmed eyebrow is raised at this… absolutely fascinating inquiry. Not only just in its content, no, no, but also just how on Earth did you manage to say ‘👀’ aloud, my ever curious Anon? Surely this must be some form of wondrous ‘modern’ magic to be able to say an image with one’s voice! …Or at least it is to Épée Sanglante anyway, for her, it is as mysterious as those tiny little cameras one can use to supposedly talk to another half the world away. Now who would have ever thought such a thing to be possible? Certainly not Joséphine! Then again, she does think cars and such are no more than large mechanical beasts… Hailing from even before the 1700’s and suddenly being thrust into a more modern time definitely has its drawbacks!
Nonetheless, a fanged smile makes itself evident upon the Vampire’s visage after the surprise passes. “My dearest little Anon, you’ve clearly never met such a specimen of a woman before have you?” A laugh bubbles from her throat after this as she drags the soft scarlet cloth she is using to polish her sword across the fuller of its blade. “You need not tell me the answer to this, darling. All who’ve met me have looked upon me in a way not too unlike you are now. Truly I must get out more often.”
Joséphine continues with an amused hum still not looking up from her work, her tone garnering a softer edge to it than its usual playfulness, “Even still, it’s a sweet thing to want to check this with me, honey. Appearances don’t always match how one wishes to be referred upon do they? In my case, it would be very kind of you to use she/her and they/them with me. Should you be willing to share Anon, I would be curious to hear and be able to respect your own.”
Her cerulean eyes finally raise to meet your own and, surprisingly for a creature cursed in undeath, they express quite a bit of lively mischievousness to them. “For now though…”  Épée Sanglante suddenly tosses the cloth to the side, raising her sword in a nonthreatening manner, the crimson jewel just above the cross-guard shimmering brightly. “Since you seem so very adamant on viewing my… assets, how would your little self like to watch me in my swordsmanship practice for the evening? Not just anyone gets such an opportunity darling! ...Well unless one is on the receiving end of my blade, hmm?”

do you like garlic? or is it an allergy for you? how can you live without garlic bread!!???!!
A slight chuckle breezes past Épée Sanglante’s crimson-stained lips at your inquiry. As though the consumption of garlic bread was something of the utmost necessity to her! She supposes mortals have different needs though, one of which certainly not having to worry about if their next meal will be ‘acceptable’ in the view of others or not. Not that Joséphine truly cares if it is or not, it is merely that some are not as accepting of a literal Vampire gallivanting about. Not all of them are as… goofy as this one is Anon!
Seated upon her usual plush chair, her left arm resting upon one of the armrests, the woman brings that hand up and places a single black claw to her chin in thought. Garlic was something she had an… interesting relationship with. In life she was partial to it but now… Well considering what she is…
“Why, what an interesting little inquiry from an equally interesting little anon as yourself!” Joséphine’s voice comes as smooth as water gently rolling off a duck’s back. “I’ve no doubt you asked this solely from the reason you know of what I am.” She chuckles at this for a brief second before continuing, removing her hand from her visage to her milky-white hair to twirl it between her claws. “And might I say, you’re quite brave dear to come and ask the big scary Vampire such an inane question about garlic bread of all things. But it is a rather humorous thing and thus I shall answer it, if only for just how cute your little self is!”
Twirling her hair gingerly with her claws, Épée Sanglante continues, “When I was…” She giggles on the next word. “Alive, I was quite accepting of this herb. It’s a rather common cooking ingredient, is it not? I had no qualms with the consumption of it, in fact I rather enjoyed it. However, considering the circumstances of myself now,” The woman moves her hand down for a moment to point to her enlarged canines before returning it to her hair. “I’m quite afraid I can no longer partake in either it or any other form of mortal food. Such things make me quite terribly ill and thus I must indulge in a more… liquid diet, should your little self know what I mean by this.” She winks playfully on the latter part of that statement.
“But, my dear Anon,” Joséphine says as she lounges back in her chair suddenly and rests her head on her knuckles, a fanged smile evident upon her features, “Does a Vampire truly ‘live’ at all? With what I have planned, living without garlic bread is the least of my concerns…”

*slaps neck seductively* come get yall juice
There is an unmistakable glimmer of pure amusement that presents itself on the woman’s visage at your action. Never in all her years of being ‘alive’ has Joséphine ever seen such a thing. Now… just what on Earth would possess one to do and say something like that? Certainly being the question most prevalent in her mind now, for typically most sane individuals would immediately turn the other direction when posed with such a threat as herself. Weren’t Vampires, ‘creatures of the night’, supposed to be frightening to mortals?
Maybe you simply don’t understand the danger you may be in when in her presence or… did you perhaps have something else on your mind with such a statement, Anon?
Nonetheless, a chime of a laugh, similar sounding to that of tinkling silver bells, creeps past the ruby-red lips of Épée Sanglante as she leans forward in her plush velvet chair.
“My goodness Anon! You’re a straightforward little thing aren’t you? You mortals never cease to amuse!” The woman begins with a smile, her canines prominent and glistening in the surrounding candlelight; nothing but genuine playfulness and gayety in her tone. After all, it's not often one’s meal just walks right up to them! “You have quite a… bit to learn in the arts of seduction dear,” She continues. “But I’m sure I could teach you in no time.”
The Vampire stands then in all her seven foot glory, saunters her way over, and stands above you. A black-painted claw is taken and placed to your chin as carefully as one would handle glass and gingerly moves your head upwards so that you may look at her.
“Well Anon,” Joséphine offers a laugh once more, her head tilting lightly to the side as she gazes upon you. “I’ve come. Why not be a dear and turn your precious little head to the side so I may get my ‘juice’, hmm?”
