the actual reason is because today is a significant day in metal gear solid 2, so everyone celebrates by posting mgs2 memes and images and what have you. one year i was listening to a lot of mint jams and thought it would be funny to hijack the entirely unrelated festivities to make everyone listen to mint jams. you still have to listen to mint jams though
