Life Update #51

Heyyy yall! It’s the 11th of December and I’ve been on holidays and it has been great! A lot has happened as I haven’t updated for almost a month but I’ll just list the biggest stuff that happened :)).

So after a little while of being on holidays my mum and I drove down to Melbourne, we also brought the dogs (which is why we drove down). It was a whole day of driving which was a t r e k but it was cool when we got there. Once I arrived in Melbourne all was pretty cool, we stayed at my nan and pops house which meant deadname central but apart from that it was cool. We went over to my aunts house with my cousins n shit and turns out they all saw a video on my YouTube about being trans so they were all calling me Oli but with she/her pronouns but it’s a start. My step dad caught a plane down there a while in and stayed at my grandparents as well. A couple days into my trip I was at my aunts house and my uncle was saying a heap of homophobic shit even though he knows I’m trans so I ran off and wrapped presents with my accepting cousin, he doesn’t quite understand what being trans is but I explained it to him and he’s starting to get it, he’s in his mid twenties, anyways that night shit got really intense and dark and I can’t say everything that happened online but basically my mum and I had a really intense discussion with my uncle and he said he didn’t get it but he will accept me. On the day before Christmas we went to my Step Dads family for their families Christmas. It was really cool, my step dads family is very accepting especially because his sister is a lesbian and his nephew is gay so everyone was calling me the right name and pronouns. I spent most of the day chatting to my step brothers girlfriend because neither of us knew everybody since we aren’t like I N the family, she was really cool and she is a uni student. I also talked with my step brother and sister and my step sisters boyfriend a bit. I got some gifts from my step dads family which I was not expecting!! I got a cool t shirt and a rebel sports voucher and an itunes voucher and a jar filled with gingerbread, non-alcoholic rum balls and candy canes. That night we went to carols by candelight with some of my mums friends from the UK. They were visiting Australia so we met up with them in the city and had dinner and then saw the carols. It was my mums friend and her husband and son and daughter. The son  was twenty something and was also called Oliver and Oli as a nickname!! We went back to their apartment in the city to hang out and then we stayed in a hotel ourselves. On Christmas morning we drove back to my nan and pops and I got presents!! I got pop vinyls and a P!ATD record and mini guitar figurines and lush bath bombs and a calligraphy set and lights that said ‘OLI’ and cards against humanity and just lots of cool stuff! We then went to my aunts house and the whole family was there, we ate heaps of food and I played with my cousins daughter who is 3 years old and adorable. She played hide and seek with me but would always hide in the same spot and I’d pretend I had no idea where she was for a while. I also buried ‘treasure’ in the garden for her to dig up. The older family members played cards against humanity with me and it was super funny and entertaining.

On boxing day I flew down from Melbourne to Tassie and met my dad and step mum there and we stayed at our house down there, it was a really nice time. For the first day my uncle was there as he had been there for Christmas and he gave me a really nice wallet for Christmas. Also on that trip we went on a really long road trip and went to a national park where we went on a bushwalk and saw a platypus!! On that roadtrip we also went to a really pretty spot for a picnic, it was in front of this beautiful blue water surrounded by mountains on squishy green grass. We ate rolls and I read ‘Elites of Eden’ and we played this cool outdoor came called ‘Finska’. We also went and saw the boats finish the race of ‘Sydney to Hobart’ and the boat I had bet on won so I got $50. Mine didn’t even win first to the finish line though, the first place got an hour taken off for cheating so mine won!!! On New Years Eve we walked down to the harbour and saw some really nice fireworks to celebrate 2018. While in Tassie I went and saw the new Star Wars with my dad which I didn’t really like BUT THEN we all went to see ‘the Greatest Showman’ which OH MY GOD MY NEW RELIGION! The music is iMPECABLE the story made me cry it was honestly my favourite thing ever, in fact I’m listening to the soundtrack right now, I also fell in LOVE with Zendaya who is in it, she is my actual wife I am IN LOVE. Also while in Tassie I got a basketball because in Melbourne I discovered a passion for shooting hoops.

Over the holidays I became close with my old unrequited crush of four years and wOW fell for her again, I told her again and nEWSFLASH she’s still not interested, she was super sweet about it but ahh it hurt my heart a little lot bit. I’m glad we are close again though because she was once my best friend and i missed her.

Once I arrived back home a heap of lgbt+ clothing arrived that I got for Christmas and also a card from one of my internet friends!! Also when I got back I did a lot of catching up with friends. Pretty soon after I got back I caught up with my best bro, we went to the shops and went to an arcade and played a couple of games and saw the greatest showman (yes again its amazing) and then he slept over at my house which was lots of fun. We swum in the pool and had water fights with my water guns. Then a little bit later I caught up with the same bro and a girl from my old school, we went ice skating together and then went to the arcade and it was sUPER FUN. I’ve also been taking photos in the photobooth every time I go to the arcade so I have a collection on my pinboard. Then a day or two after that I went over to a friends house and 5 of us from my theatre place caught up. We played a card game called ‘What do You Meme’ and listened to Hamilton and watched Pitch Perfect. I felt really happy because 3 of them were cis dudes and they were treating me exactly like they treated each other apart from a couple pronoun slip ups and it felt nice to be treated like a boy.

Yesterday my best pal and I went to a trans support group!! It was amazing!! Basically we walked into this room and there were a heap of teens sitting on couches and chairs and we sat on some chairs and I was super awkward and nervous at first but everyone was so sweet and we all put nametags on saying our names and pronouns. For the first hour-ish a trans woman gave us a talk and we asked questions and stuff like that just about legal rights and working while trans and all that stuff. For the next hour we all chatted and I stopped being awkward and I made a heap of pals which is so exciting! I’m so excited about next months meet up now.

Well that’s all for this long ass update, today my mum and I went and looked at a house we might rent and tomorow I’m going to the shops with a friend

Life Update #50

Hello there pals! 

It is Monday the 18th of December (2017 ;P)  and I’ve been going p good. On Saturday I had a super awesome day at the start but the end was scary! I went shopping with two of my awesome friends, one came over to my house beforehand and I showed him my record player and we then walked to the train station which was a TREK. When the train rolled up our friend ran up to us and scared us. We all went to the shops and shopped about a bit, there was a piano in the middle of the store and we played the G note repeatedly LOL. I also got a Halsey vinyl and it is BEAUTIFUL!! It’s a clear blue vinyl and it’s in a beautiful album case with Halseys face on it. It also played absolutely BEAUTIFULLY and I just love it. One of my friends at the shops has the mania fall out boy fidget spinner and it’s so COOL and we played music on it. We all then went to Zing and I got a stranger things mystery figure which turned out to be Will. After that we all walked about and took aesthetic photos for our instagram, we found a place that said ‘LGBTI SAFE SPACE’ and had rainbow walls and took heaps of photos there since I’m a trans dude, one of my friends is a bi trans dude and my other friend is a bi girl. We then caught the train home and one of them came to my house for a sleepover and we hung out with my dogs and played my arcade machine and listened to my halsey vinyl. Then we had dinner and that was when disaster struck *intense music*. We were having tacos and my mum asked if he was allergic to penuts *foreshadowing*, he said he wasn’t and he thought he wasn’t. Then we ate the tacos are realised, he is. How didn’t he know? No idea, but he didn’t. He had a reaction meaning his throat started hurting and lips puffed up, we thought he was fine so we went on a long walk with my dogs, bad mistake number two. We didn’t bring our phones either, bad mistake number 3. He couldn’t breathe well from the reaction and once we arrived at the park he didn’t think he could walk back, I let my dogs off the lead and ran around with them while he sat and rested but he still didn’t feel great. We borrowed a mans phone but I don’t know my mums number so I called my phone but mum didn’t pick up which makes sense. We managed to slowly walk home and when we got home we gave my friend a tablet that made him feel a lot better but it also made him act quite high and sleepy. He went to sleep at 9:30 so I stayed awake in my room until 1am cause of course I did lmao. Also I texted my crush and we had a really nice chat but I’m still not sure if she has a boyfriend soooo yeah. We are hanging out soon which is exciting. Also the dates went up for the trans group and I get to go to the first one on the 10th of January!! I am so excited! One sad and scary thing is I may be changing from musical theatre to singing with my theatre company so i can make it to all trans group which should be fine but I have been i musical theatre for so long, idk, I may also have to work around my dad with singing and stay at his house and catch busses when hes away one week a month as my mums is too far from my theatre place. 

Anywho, yesterday was a chill day,my friend left early coz he texted his mum to pick him up, i don’t know why, but I had a really chill day anywho and I did an eleven cosplay. Today I went to the orthadontist and got a new plate and then I went to the doctor, somewhere I have gone to a lot more lately since I came out as transgender. I am now on the pill so I can skip periods before I get on hormone blockers and I got a refferal to the endrochynolgist. Anyways that was my day, goodnight

Life Update #49

Yello mah dudes 

I have been on holidays for one week now and life is looking up, last Friday was my last day and it is now the next Friday. On the last day of term I got all of my friends to sign my bear and I gave my closest ones Christmas cards. During the day we split into our houses and mine had to sing Jingle Bell Rock and do a Snow White skit. I just sat in the back row and sung along but we went pretty well and my house came 3rd out of the 8. After the performances the teachers played ‘sweet caroline’ and we all sung along. I hugged some of my friends and when it came to one who I have been friends with since year 5 I cried, I didn’t think I would cry because I am so excited to leave but I did. That friend and I had been through so much together so I did cry and then I cried on my other friend coz I got a lil emotional. We then all headed back to our connect groups and I cleaned out my whole locker, my friend wrote ‘*the name of my school* boi’ on my face and everyone stared at me but for once I didn’t care, my connect class gave me a card that some of them had signed and everyone wrote Oli on it, or no name at all, but no one deadnamed me on it! Meaning I can actually keep the card wooh! At the end of the day one of my crushes in my year came up to me and hugged me and said we need to hang out in the holidays, I think she may be taken but I’m just glad I can hang out with her.That night I walked train line home with my good ol friends and I was free from the hellhole forever! I will miss some of my friends but I’m glad to be free and get to be myself at school now. On the first day of holidays I had 7 friends over for a Christmas party, it was super fun we all hung out and played my game machine and played with my dogs and chatted and ate food and played truth or dare. My mum also had her friends over and they all called me the right name. My friends and I all ended up jumping in my pool even though no one had swimmers, my friends all borrowed some of my shorts and went in in those and sports bras, I wore my boardies and binder but for once I didn’t feel uncomfortable about that because my friend was also swimming in his binder. My friends tried to convince me to let them do my makeup but for some reason I really didn’t want to and it made me get super stressed and emotional, I’m usually fine with it but I just wasn’t that day, I lowkey broke down and went into my room but my friend followed me and calmed me down and they all ended up doing the other dudes makeup because he’s fine with it. We all started watching a Christmas movie and one of my friends and I ended up holding hands and cuddling, idk why and idk what happened but it just sorta happened, I don’t think it meant anything and I only like her platonically so yeah *shrugs*. On the second day of holidays my theatre place held a Christmas party, it was fun and I saw all my friends, we all ate food and then a heap of us ran across the road and played in the park like children, one of my friends spun me around on a play equipment thingy until I felt sick but it was funny, he’s a pretty cool dude cause he accepts me as one of the dudes, so does everyone there, it’s great. I met a guy there who I hadn’t really talked to before because he isn’t in my theatre class and wasn’t in the musical and he had blue hair! It was so cool! Idk I just found that cool and felt the need to note it. At the end I said goodbye to my crush/friend who’s leaving the country and hugged her but she didn’t seem like she wanted to speak to me really, that may be the last time I see her for a year and she didn’t really talk to me and she won’t even add me back on snap. Just sad and disappointing since she used to be one of my best friends until I liked her, I don’t even like her that way anymore really. One thing I forgot to mention is on the second last day of school I tried to shave a slit into my eyebrow and it failed miserably and looks very bad but at least it is growing back quickly. On Monday I got parts of my hair dyed green, it looks super cool especially for Christmas, I LOVE IT! I have to get it taken out next year for school but that isn’t for two months!! On Tuesday I swum in the pool and played with my dogs because it has been SO HOT!! On Wednesday I went to my new school!! I went to buy my uniform and I got to wear the boy’s uniform! The lady working there even called me the right pronouns and name the whole time!! It was so amazing. The lady who sized my uniform is called Ali, she is probably in her mid-30s and she was very bubbly and nice, she had a very loud laugh and laughed a lot, she treated me like a person, not a number, which is refreshing from my old school. There wasn’t a uniform shop, just a room on the 3rd floor with uniforms everywhere, we went up an elevator and went into the room and I got changed behind a door. I got shorts, a shirt, pants, a blazer, track pants, a track shirt, PE shorts, a PE shirt, a belt, a tie and a performing arts shirt. I also got a school bag. The one thing I am stressed out about is my elective. You have to do dance or art, neither of which I am the best at. I am doing art because apparently the dance students usually do dance for HSC and are very good. I am not good at drawing or painting but hopefully in art they let us sculpt or collage, or better yet, do photography because I am good at that! On the Wednesday night I went out for dinner with my dad and step mum as they went away today (Friday) to Tassie. I was an early Christmas dinner. First we did presents, I gave my step mum a $50 cotton on voucher and my dad a thermos with chocolates in it. Speaking of my step mum, my dad proposed to her last Saturday!! Exciting! And I even get to be the best man!! Anyways, my dad got me a RECORD PLAYER!! I have wanted one for ages so it is very exciting!! Apparently two vinyls are coming in the mail a ‘blurryface’ by twenty one pilots and a ‘too weird to live too rare to die’ by panic! At the disco!! Super exciting!! On Thursday I went to the shops with my friend from my old school, we saw the movie ‘Wonder’ and it was both very sad and very happy, very moving. My friend cried in it and I teared up in it a bit. After the movie I bought a vinyl for my record player!! An ‘All Time Low’ album ‘last young renegade’. It sounded amazing, the record player worked awesome I am absolutely obsessed with it!! Today I listened to vinyl downstairs with my dogs while playing ‘dig dug’ on our arcade machine and then went to the shops with mum, we couldn’t find any vinyl at the JB hi fi we went to so we went to Vinnies and I got two vinyls for a buck each! What a deal, especially since they’re usually between 30 and 50 bucks. It was a Christmas vinyl and a Mary Poppins vinyl. They are a little dodgy but great for the price. I also dropped by my dads today to pick up my binder as I left it there. Tomorrow I’m going to the shops with two pals, we are gonna shop and eat food and I’m going to get another vinyl from JB hi fi and they one of them is sleeping over so that’s exciting.

Okay lemme explain why this is basically an admission of guilt and therefore qualifies as the “evidence” every dumbass Melanie stan has been looking for:

- The word choice is EXTREMELY deliberate. Notice how instead of saying “it was consensual” or even “she said yes” Melanie says “she didn’t say no.” This is pulled straight from the book of “excuses rapists use to justify their actions;” despite the fact that it’s likely a lie (Timothy says that she said no multiple times and I’m obligated to believe her because why tf would she lie about that) even if it is true is doesn’t make what happened not rape. If Timothy was coerced and pressured into sex it doesn’t matter if she “didn’t say no” or even if she said yes. She was manipulated, making this a rape.

- Admission of engaging in sexual activity with Timothy flushes those bullshit “they were just casual acquantainces” and “Timothy is just jealous of Melanie’s fame” theories down the toilets. I hope everyone who claimed that feels real fucking disgusting right now.

- Melanie has dug her own grave by simultaneously asserting that a) she initiated sex with Timothy and b) she terminated their friendship shortly after, which is a blatant signal of manipulation; inspiring complete dependency, followed by abandonment, cultivating trust issues and emotional trauma that will last a lifetime. I know because this has happened to me, multiple times. It’s an abuse tactic and it needs to be taken seriously.

Life Update #48

Morn humans, 

It is Wednesday, woot, three days left at this school (including today)!! I’m so so excited and a little scared and sad. Yesterday we had speech day which meant we only had half the day at school, at recess we did our secret santa and my whole group surprised me with a farewell present!! It was so so nice I literally got emotional, they got me a slytherin snapback, slytherin socks, a slytherin magnet, a slytherin key chain, a ron weasly key chain, a Harry Potter pop vinyl (!!), a mystery box of a mini Harry Potter figurine which turned out to be hagrid, 4 new pins for my collection (!!) ((one said ‘live every day like it’s taco Tuesday with a taco on it, one had a cool picture of a beach that said ‘paradise’, one had a fox and it said ‘zero fox given’ and my personal favourite was one with an alien that said ‘space out’)), a box of four christmas lush bath bombs and they all wrote me a beautiful card. It was so so nice and they didn’t need to do that at all but they did and I am very very lucky!! It’s like Christmas has already come!! I also bought myself a signable bear and all my friends have been signing it. I have currently been doing Vlogmas on YouTube which is really fun and I’ve been enjoying it. 

Tonight I have musical theatre and we have our final lesson for the year which is a party, I’m going to get emotional because it is my close friends final lesson before she leaves the country and I probably can’t make her farewell, I’m very sad. I’ll probably cry tbh. 

Last night was the big assembly which went for hours and was boring but i saw my year 11/12 crush. She’s spoken to me a couple times this week, I’m sad because I’ll never see her again after this week, I wish I had the courage to ask her to sign my bear.
