Exam Evaluation
During the exam period I had ideas with what I wanted to do during the time I had to edit my photos. The theme for the exam was Beginning and/or End. I was focusing on how things travel through time. After looking around at different artists I finally found one that I liked who took photos of clocks and other household items. After I took the photos of my clock I was ready for my exam. The reason I chose to use a clock as my focus point was because since I was focusing on how things went through time a clock was perfect. I took a photo of each hour of the day to prepare for my exam.
While I was editing my photos I wanted to push my creative boundaries and do things that I may have not tried before. While editing I started to play around with the magic wand tool and I tried to select everything however, that’s not what happened. Trying to select everything I missed some things and it turned out like this.
I was trying to collect the watch itself and leave the band that holds and this happened. However I liked how the outcome came around and I’m glad I took time to try new things otherwise this wouldn’t of happened. This photo is the one I’m mostly happy with this one and why it come out. It also looks different to previous work that I have done and if I had a chance to get it again I would spend more time doing this as I loved the way they come out.

Experiments Before Exam.
Made a strip collage edit with photos of the clock I took photo’s of and edited them to make a little square like shape.
After I did that I put a 3D effect on the image to make it bright and different from the original artwork.

Testing For Exam.
Before I start my exam I wanted to test out some of the things I wanted to do during the exam time. One of the things I wanted to do was have a clock with hands on each hour and of the clock and every half hour. This is a little edit I did to show what I want it to do but I didn’t complete the whole edit but I figured out how long it will take to do each hour around 3-5 mins as don’t want it to look bad when finished.

My Plans For My Exam.
For this exam I decided to plan out what I am going to do so I know what I want my final outcome to be like and so I can make time slots of how long i can spend on each photo as I only have 10 hours to edit my photos. I am going to be taking photos of clocks. The reason behind this is because it goes with my theme of objects and beginning and/or end. It also corresponds with my last set of images I took. I took photographs of tapes, vinyl to CD’s and I showed how music travels through time. So after spending time on this project I decided to focus on days and how many hours are in a day. I am going to add flowers around the images to make them look more approachable and compacted.

Sarah Vandenberk - Artist Analysis
While finding an artist to link in with my exam project I found two that I loved and I needed to post both to give me more inspiration when it comes to me taking and editing my photos. I love the fact that this photo was edited into a black and white film as it looks old and fragile which makes me want to while editing make it look that way to make it have more of antiquey feeling/look.
While looking at the information about this image I couldn’t find when the photo was taken other than it was taken in the year 2015 for one of her projects she was doing at the time and they came out perfectly in my opinion. They will be similar as they will both be in black and white.

Jennifer Brown Banks -Artist Analysis
The person I chose is a photographer female blogger who writes about her life and takes photos to go with each posts she has. Jennifer takes photos of loads of things that she dose throughout her everyday life and I came across this photo of a clock and I loved it.
When the photographer created this photograph I feel that she wanted to capture this moment in time so it can last forever, a memory that is stuck in time. This photo was taken March 14th - Tuesday 2017. (one of her recent blog posts)
My photos are a little bit different from this as I am not going to have a little orbs on the photographs. I am going to have them in black and white and add flowers round the outside of the images to make them all different. I am going to show a full day in my photos instead of just on section of my day like Jennifer did in this photo.
