Duel of the Fates - Siri_Kenobi12 - Star Wars - All Media Types [Archive of Our Own]
“In the name of the Galactic Senate of the Republic, you are under arrest, Chancellor.” Kenobi’s voice was like ice, very different than the diplomat he was revered for.
As the Jedi spoke, the sound of multiple boots filtered through the hallway, just outside the Chancellor’s office. So he brought a battalion of clones with him instead of other Jedi, an odd play for him to make, but really a death sentence considering the secret control Sidious had over the troops.
Palpatine met Kenobi’s steel gaze. “Are you threatening me, Master Jedi?”
“Oh no, Chancellor.” Kenobi’s hands were on his hips, but he had yet to pull out his saber. “You’d know it if I was ‘threatening you’.”
[Or: Anakin and Padme tell Obi-Wan what's been going on and Obi gets a little protective of his family]

Mind Over Matter
"You just said it!"
“I didn’t," Anakin said. "I thought it, but I didn’t say it.”
“Then how in the galaxy did I manage to—”
Obi-Wan's voice dropped off, eyes widening as the realization dawned on them both.
Oh no.
“Can you...read my mind?”
--
(or: Anakin and Obi-Wan acquire the ability to read each other’s minds. As you can imagine, it doesn’t go well—except for the part where it saves the galaxy.)

thinking about the sheer volume of lyrics jedi must have memorised purely because they travel long distances so much and what else are they going to do in hyperspace? fly in complete silence?? c’mon, anakin must’ve had that space!ipod playing all the time and obi-wan would’ve (unwillingly) absorbed an ungodly amount of pop punk when anakin when through his teen emo phase

do you just ever read a book and you realize that you want to write something like that. like, not necessarily that you want to write something with that kind of plot or those kinds of characters, but you want to write something like that, which is to say, something that moves a person so deeply that they burst into tears
