Planets Legacy Challenge ☆

Welcome to the Planets Legacy Challenge! This challenge was written by @grnitefalls, @simbee, and @oxkenstead! If you are going to play this challenge use the tags: #planetlegacy and #plg1, #plg2 (the number representing the gen # you are on!)

Basic Rules -

No money cheats except for freerealestate for your first house!

You can live in whatever world you want to.

Keep the lifespan on normal.

No cheating!

You must use the traits/aspirations/careers given! The only exception is if you don’t have the pack they come with!

You may use any gender for these generations. If you’re playing a sim who can’t get pregnant, get another sim pregnant and care for the baby.

Gen 1 - The Moon

You were always an outcast growing up, you and never had many friends. You’ve become very envious of the life other people get to live, even though you’d rather stay by yourself. Your dream has always been to build a rocket and go to space, so why wait around?

Traits: Loner, Geek, Jealous

Career: Astronaut

Aspiration: Renaissance sim

Rules:

Must build a rocket with ALL the upgrades

Never have any friends (excluding aliens and family members)

Gen 2 - Mercury

Sadly, growing up with one parent being pretty lonely had an effect on you. You feel isolated as well, leaving you to fill the void with anything related to books. Since you read books so often, you decided to start writing them. Since you’ve never really had much interaction with others, you find it hard to socialize and be romantically involved with your partner, so you end up ruining every relationship you’re in. Thank god for your books.

Traits: Non-committal, Bookworm, Clumsy

Career: Author

Aspiration: Bestselling Author

Rules:

Be in three different relationships before finding “the one”

Have everyone of your romantic relationships end with an argument (however many you have)

After having kids, get a divorce because your s/o complained about how you never pay attention to them

But you love what you do, and nothing will change that.

Rules:

Have an on and off relationship with your mother

Experience “love at first sight” and marry them right away

Gen 5 - Earth

You’ve felt like the odd one out in your family. You always argued with your siblings, since you knew you were right which that left you to be alone most of the time, enjoying nature. You did grow up wealthy, so you enjoy the finer things in life. No shame in that, right? You’re very overconfident and have lots of friends.

Traits: Snob, Loves Outdoors, Self-Assured

Career: Tech Guru

Aspiration: Friend of the World

Have three good friends

Your parent was very overconfident and out there. You? Not so much. No matter how hard you try, you just can’t flirt for the life of you. But that’s alright, at least you’re a good cook.

Traits: Unflirty (clumsy if you don’t have CL), Perfectionist, Vegetarian (foodie if you don’t have CL)

Career: Chef

Rules:

Have one long lasting relationship during high school but they break up with you once you’re a young adult

Have a successful 5-Star restaurant (if you have Dine Out)

Have multiple failed attempts at relationships before finding someone unflirty just like you

Gen 7 - Uranus

Your parent owned the best restaurant in town, so you had no problems with eating good food, or any food for that matter. Unlike your parent, you have quite the flirty side to you, and have an eye for expensive things. Except you don’t like to buy them-you prefer the thrill of the steal.

Traits: Romantic, Glutton, Kleptomaniac

Career: Entertainer

Aspiration: Serial Romantic

Rules:

Eat practically any food you encounter

Never marry- you’d get too bored. You like to experience different people.

Get pregnant with twins after a one night stand

Always stay out late looking for potential hookups until you have kids

Once you have kids, go out one night a week looking for a potential hookup (or maybe even relationship)

Gen 8 - Saturn

You didn’t grow up with a parent around, so you only had your sibling-which sadly you fought with 50% of the time. You were eventually steered down the wrong path and made a bad career choice. But whatever. It’s fun being the villain.

You grew up with your two other siblings. You always knew that your parents were fighting, no matter how much they tried to hide it. But, because of this, your siblings and you grew close. You love your siblings. Your parents kept fighting, so you found your escape in exercise, since it helped you relieve stress. You decide to give your children the love that you never got as a child.

Traits: Goofball, Family Oriented, Good

Have 5 children (one of them being adopted)

Build a memorial/cemetery for the past generations

Aesthetic Legacy Challenge

If you love Aesthetic and want to play with rules that match each generation, this is the perfect challenge for you, this is the Aesthetic Challenge in it you will play with ten generations (five extras if you want)

It’s just a game with rules based on stereotypes, so I’m sorry if I offend someone, I didn’t mean to

Basic Rules:

The extra five generations are optionals and you can organize the way you want within the challenge ( for example put “indie” between gen 2 and 3) be creative!!

Partners don’t have to be the same aesthetic

Money cheats can be used but don’t abuse it, you can use it to buy the required shell from the first generation

you should only complete the aspiration and career when it is necessary in the generation

Generation One: Dark Academia

Since you were a child you were always the type who spent all day in the library, always very organized and worried about the future, your parents died when you were a baby so you always tried to be the best at all to make them proud. To relax you love baking sweets for your friends, who are few, but the best; for you romance only existed in books, but deep down you always knew that you wanted someone like you, who might even be able to accompany you in the early morning readings.

Traits: Genius, bookworm, neat

Aspiration: Renaissance Sim

Career: lawyer or business

Rules:

Start with a house without furniture inside, just the shell, left by your parents (you can use cheat to buy the shell)

But your dreams don’t stop there, a part of you’ve always wanted to go further and show people how it’s possible to be a vegetarian and eat well, will you one day find someone to share this dream with you?

Not So Berry Challenge 2.0

We’ve all heard of the Not So Berry Challenge created by @lilsimsie and @alwaysimming

Since completing this challenge not once, but TWICE- I’ve decided to create a 2.0 version that uses more of the gameplay that has been introduced in new packs since this challenge was created years ago.

Still ten generations based on different colors. In my own version, the traits, storyline, aspiration, and career for each generation are based on the meanings behind each color rather than the color itself.

Please keep in mind that I did not create this original challenge, but the challenge rules remain the same. The challenge rules have been copied and pasted from the original challenge which I will also post a link for.

Basic Rules:

Each heir must represent the color of the generation (i.e. hair, makeup, clothing), but brightly colored skin is not necessary (these aren’t actually berry Sims, that’s the joke). Of course, this is optional but a big portion of the fun.

The colors of the spouses don’t matter as they aren’t part of the challenge. Unless otherwise stated you can do whatever you please with them.

Money cheats can be used, but not excessively. Suggestion: use freerealestate for your first home, but no cheats afterward.

You may live wherever you please unless something is specified in the rules of a generation.

Every generation is supposed to complete both the career and aspiration of the heir unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Keep the lifespan on normal.

Generation One: Mint

You’re an angler and an engineer that really loves the color mint. You’re career driven but still make time for afternoons spent fishing in the sunshine. You also happen to love luxury which is reflected in your style and home. You only want the best for your family!

Traits: Loves the Outdoors, Materialistic, Jealous Aspiration: Angling Ace Career: Engineer

Rules:

Master engineer career and complete angling ace aspiration

Own a home worth $75,000

Generation Two: Rose

You had everything you desired as a child but you were always longing for more. If we had a workaholic trait in The Sims 4, you would have it. After a long day at work, you like to unwind with yoga and meditation. As an adult, your top priority becomes finding your soulmate to share your life with. You have absolutely no maternal instincts whatsoever but you still love your child with all your heart.

stardew valley sims 4 generations challenge.

a sims 4 challenge by @chellplays

this is a twelve generation challenge for all of the marriage candidates from concernedape’s stardew valley. this challenge is completely base game compatible with optional challenges for dlc. use the tag #svs4 or tag #chellplays if you would like me to see your gameplay.

usual rules apply, meaning no cheats that give you an unfair advantage. your sims do not have to look or be named after the characters in each generation. do whatever you like!

generation 1: abigail.

you were raised with humble upbringings. your dad ran a general store, while your mom was best at complaining about your “alternative lifestyle.” you left home looking to start a life free of rules and parents, and with 20 000 simoleons in your pocket, you settled down in a new city.

traits: music lover, loves outdoors, geek (alternatively, cats & dogs dlc: cat lover). aspiration: the curator. career: entertainer, musician branch.

goals:

have one “quirky” trait, appearance-wise (e.g. unnatural hair color).

obtain at least five points in the video game skill.

complete the frog collection.

have two best friends, and marry one of them.

traits: family-oriented, bookworm, neat. aspiration: big happy family (alternatively, parenthood dlc: super parent). career: none.

live with your mother (if not applicable, any one parent), with whom you have a negative relationship.

you must cook for your parent and clean the house every day.

live in a trailer-esque house. you are by no means wealthy.

both you and your parent may not have jobs.

traits: materialistic, snob, outgoing. aspiration: fabulously wealthy (alternatively, city living dlc: city native). career: none.

become enemies with your sibling(s) as a teenager.

you may only get a career after you are married, and you must follow the same career path as your spouse. they opened your mind and inspired you to have interests beyond shopping.

generation 8: elliot.

you live alone in a cabin. you are a writer who dreams of one day writing a magnificent novel. you are a sentimental “romantic” with a tendency to go off onto flowery, poetic tangents. when you can afford it, you enjoy a strong beverage at the bar.

traits: romantic, bookworm, loner. aspiration: bestselling author. career: writer, author branch.

live in a cabin-esque house.

obtain at least five points in the piano skill.

own a small garden.

specialize in romance books and poetry. later, you may also specialize in sci fi or mystery novels.

write love emails to your love interest at least once a week.

generation 9: leah.

you love to spend time outside, foraging for a wild meal or simply enjoying the gifts of the season. you’re a talented artist with a large portfolio of work… yet you’re too nervous to display it to the public.

traits: art lover, loves outdoors, foodie. aspiration: painter extraordinaire. career: none (painter, later on).

date only one person in your young adulthood and have a child with them, but never marry. your partner is unsupportive of your artistic lifestyle and encourages you to “get a real job.” whether you choose to get a traditional career, that is not as a painter, is up to you.

heavily inspired by melanie martinez songs coupled with some of my favorite colors, this is kind of like a berry challenge. but like melanie, we are wielding dual colors. each gen has two colors that will bleed into the next. you can utilize dual colors in multitudes of ways. you can create berry sims or normal sims, color coordinate their clothes and makeup, change up their hair colors. doesn’t matter as long as you use the two colors given to signal each generation.

Can’t believe I’m making another post about Adf*y in 2021 but here we go…

I’m sure you all know the new adf*y page which (i’m pretty sure) adf*y skipper can’t skip anymore, the one where it asks to send notifications and won’t let you proceed until you let them send notifications.

I accidentally just allowed one of these notifications (not at home and using a janky mouse on a pillow, keeps going crazy), so I immediately headed to my chrome settings to get rid of it.

I’m going through blocking everything before I delete it (just so I feel better about it truly being gone lol) and I see this:

I’m thinking, what the hell is a payment handler and why is it set to allow?? That super doesn’t sound good… And after some googling I find yeah, it’s probably not great.

So, what’s a payment handler? Basically, it’s when google saves your payment details to autofill later on when you’re making an online purchase. So that includes your credit card, debit card, paypal, ect, details. (Source - askcybersecurity.com) Now these are usually fine on legitimate sites but this site specifically:

You just google ‘christianivory.pro’ and every result is how to get rid of it because it’s malware. (That picture was after I cleared the cookies it had already stored, no idea what they were)

(btw, I wouldn’t recommend clicking on any of these since malware/viruses are often hidden behind fake anti-malware ads/programs)

Luckily I don’t keep any of my payment details saved so I’m pretty sure I’m fine after deleting it and MalwareBytes or Windows Defender hasn’t detected anything. I can’t say for sure what it would have done if I hadn’t of deleted it, it seems to mostly be notification spam but the fact that it was trying to access my payment methods doesn’t sound all that great. Even if having the payment methods allowed doesn’t do shit, I’ve had money stolen from me through an adf*y virus before (source - my tumblr)

Like I said, I’m pretty sure I got lucky because I don’t save those things but I’m going to offer a hypothetical situation which could be extremely likely in our community specifically;

Lets say I’m a 14 year old simmer who uses their parents computer to play the sims. I’ve recently discovered custom content and my favourite creator uses adf*y, but since I’m young and new to the community I have no idea that adf*y can be bad and I trust this creator so they would never link me to anything that could harm my computer… right? So I accept that adf*y notification and don’t think anything of it, I get the CC I really like and I’m happy. But that notification I just accepted has saved my parents credit card details. I’m sure you can guess where the rest of this situation goes.

So this is me, creator to creator, telling you need to stop. I know finding a source of income can be awful right now, but your source of income could be coming at the expense of someone else who did not agree to this.

If you think your content is worth a price then I urge you to start a Patreon, Ko-Fi or even a paypal because these are platforms that are safe for both parties and are OPTIONAL. Adf*y is not optional for the downloader.

Stop putting the younger and more susceptible people in our community at risk. As creators it is likely that we gain a larger following so stop taking advantage of that. Especially if you’re older or are someone who preaches the safety of our younger members in this space, step up and actually practice what you fucking preach instead of just saying it for likes and reblogs.

I am genuinely sick of this, I’ve been in this community for over half a goddamn decade now and I’ve posted before about adf*y, as have dozens of other people and this shit is STILL happening.

I am so close to wiping my old laptop and recording myself going through creators adf*y links and downloading as many malicious things as I can JUST to prove to people that adf*y is not safe. And no, I wouldn’t blur out blog names, I would specifically be calling people out on their shit. This isn’t just petty simblr drama, this can actually affect peoples lives.

It’s Adf*y?? We all know it’s bad, stop using it for the sake of our community members!?? I’m gonna start calling people out for pretty soon?? STOP PISSING WHERE YOU EAT
