Friday-Final Day
•We started the day with a warm up similar to yesterday.
•Massaging your partner and keeping them calm and relaxed.
•We then hit out partners softly in the right spots to take away their tension.
•We then carried on rehearsing and did a whole run through of the whole piece running smoothly through all the different forms.
•Trying to finesse all the different sections and feeling the groove even with silence and simplicity.
•Before our performance in the evening we sat in a circle to discuss our feelings towards the whole week.
•I loved the way the group blended.
•How everything was natural and nothing was forced.
•It was a great experience to work with people from different departments.
•The combining of Jazz and Classical musicians bonding together in a jazz piece. •The simplicity of it all.
•Overall it was a very intense week but very much enjoyable.
•I loved everyone in the group and we all worked so well together as an ensemble and a team.

•After a short break the singers then worked on the improvising within the second form following the aspect of the ritual.

•This then moved into combining everyone together and trying to untangle ourselves without tensing our muscles together-trying to keep the groove.

Thursday-Day Four
•The warm up today we had a ball balancing on our head to try and give us the correct posture and concentration.
•We then tried to relax our muscles by getting into partners and doing different movements of trying to let our muscles go and relax.
•We were giving our partners massages on their arms and around their neck and back. The aim was to let them fully relax by dropping all their weight and letting it rest on you.

•Towards the end of the third form the dancers are moving towards the musicians and then we join dancing and put our instruments down.
•The dance is then passed between three different people where they improvise and we follow what they do.
•We then end with dancing back towards the rhythm section.

•After lunch we added the other instruments to the beginning noise at the start of the first form to create even more clashes and new noises.
•We wanted all the noises to relate together but yet sometimes doing nothing can be very powerful.
•The Singers now had their star role in the second form.
•They were singing in a typical jazz style following the key and the improvisation within the Synth and the Piano.
•Another element was now added to third form led by the trumpet.
•We play an f and a e flat and a f again then crescendoing on that last f and then a loud attack at the end.
•The dancers then worked on the third form.

Wednesday-Day Three
•The warm up today was taken by Gigi our Dance mentor.
•This was very different for the music students as it was a contemporary dance warm up.
•Something that we are not used to doing.
•We were trying to stretch all of our body parts.
•Keeping our bodies relaxed and smooth.
•We had a sense of looking into the horizon which helped to keep us calm.
•The dancers then started to place the beginning opening section together.
