Well, when an entire industry uplifts and makes them the standard, people are ( specifically success driven people) going to flock to it in hopes of becoming one of the greats.

Lowkey think this whole defending Molly thing is a bit sunk cost fallacy. Like they’ve idolised her and spent so much time on stuff relating her, they can’t just accept she isn’t perfect and they’ve wasted all this time.

Yagp Brazil happening 2 weeks after finals (I missed it). I missed most of world ballet comp even though they saved the streams for 24 hours. And I'm probably gonna miss dance open America. I'm in ballet hell. I will not miss ubc finals happening in May I promise.

So just because dyllan was successful at p21 that means she was happy ... yall ever heard of the Women's US gymnastics team (the last 20 years) and vaganova ballet school. These 2 environments have fostered some of the most successful athletes and dancers the world has ever known. But they have thousands of horror stories.

Honestly you can do it without changing the artistic integrity of the variation then why not. But I do feel some yagp judges hate it.

I think a whole lot of you dont have any achievements of your own to brag about, and that is why you brag about the achievements of child dancers. I also think a lot of you don't like dance. You like winning, and because you don't do a lot of that in your life, clearly you have to once again use a dancers . Same with losses, some of yall are so unhinged, caught up in toxic idol worship of a child, that you think there loss however how big or small is your own. Have some of yall ever thought, " Maybe I should touch grass or see a therapist?????".

Honestly doing a variation from a different age category should be grounds for disqualification

Yagp would need to change their rules first because as long as the child is demi pointe, they can choose from the junior/senior list.

Doing a variation that isn’t on the list for your age (but in a higher age category) should be punished way more. Like people are just going to keep doing it if it does unpunished

This season I saw pre comp doing grand pas, all the swans, Diana, nikiyas death,satanella and esmerelda, and I just wanted to scream because not only are they inappropriate for that age they hard and dangerous. Like even the best seniors have had the hardest time with these variations. But yagp will always award what is the most impressive in pre comp
