Simblreen 2022 Pattern Dump!

I thought I'd get some recolors done for Simblreen but the inspo was just not there. HOWEVER, I've been into making seamless patterns lately and the inspiration was definitely there for that so I made a bunch of seamless patterns for you guys.

The previews do not contain all of the patterns, there are 39 of them, a couple of them with transparent backgrounds. Some of these won't be useful outside of Halloween themed projects, some of them will be useful for just about anything. The colors are bright, from a small Halloween color palette I made (purple, red, green, orange and yellow).

One of the files uses simlish. I used the SimlishFZ_Spoozy available here: https://modthesims.info/d/633796/spooky-simlish-fonts.html

There is a readme file included in the download as well as a .pat file for photoshop and the individual .png files.

These files are rather large (5400 pixels by 5400 pixles 300dpi, I like working with large files when creating patterns). For recoloring Sims items, you may need to resize the .png first to something like 300 x 300 pixels before adding it to the pattern window as resizing them during recoloring may cause distortion or jagged edges. City Living capri pants in 42 (!!!!) various black and white patterns from Creative Fabrica. I may have gone a bit overboard but once I started, I couldn't stop. There were far too many to preview so you get a few of my favorites.

I've had these sitting in my folder for a long time. The swatch thumbnails show as solid white, even though in S4S they show as black and white. I've tried several things but they don't ever change. If they're solid white for you, too, I'm sorry. There's literally no other color in these than black and white. If I ever get the swatch thumbnails fixed, I'll update the file. The actual item thumbnails work properly.

This is a standalone item with a custom thumbnail. The recolors are disabled for random and otherwise enabled/disabled for whatever the originals were. City Living is required.

Base game pleated mini skirt in 12 black and white plaids. The top two photos were taken with reshade, the bottom two were not. 

I struggled with this a bit because no matter what I did, I couldn’t get the waist band to look right. Then I got the idea to take the waistband from the solid black skirt and use it instead and, voila. There we are. I like how these turned out and I hope you get some use for them.

This is a base game item so no packs or other cc required. It is an add-on item with no custom thumbnail (meaning they[ll show up after the EA colors) but the swatch is black and white to help identify them. The recolors themselves should be disabled for random (if I didn’t forget) but the original skirt is not.

Carnaval Street Wear Sequin Dress in my Lisa Frank palette. There’s something about sparkles that just beg for bright colors. The previews are shot with reshade on the top and no reshade on the bottom. There are a couple colors similar to the original dress, I was too lazy to take them out.

There are 29 colors in all (excluding the pure white and pure black swatches, they aren’t great for recoloring). This is an add-on item with no custom thumbnail. This does require the Carnaval Street Wear Kit (they may work with this dress made base game compatible but I don’t have one to test it on, feel free to try and let me know if it works, I’ll add it to my post). I THINK I disabled the recolors for random but the dress itself isn’t.

My TOU is open, do what you want, just don’t say you made the recolors and don’t put it on anything behind a paywall, like a sim download or, and I can’t believe I have to say this, a CC list you make people pay for.

@ravensim ‘s Noah V1 and V2 hair in The Historian. More boy stuff. Do we have enough messy guy hairs? No, no we don’t. I like this hair because I can switch up the bangs and still have it look like my sim is wearing the same hair.

I know this is an older hair but it’s one I use ALL THE FREAKING TIME and I realized it hadn’t been done yet in The Historian so I whipped it up really fast. EA Base game calf skirt in “Sea Witch” patterns (that’s the name of the pattern set). I originally made this for @serindipitysims. We were talking about dressing sims for a dark academia type save and I had this pattern set on hand and thought ‘hmmmmmm’. They turned out pretty neat so I wanted to share them with the rest of you. These are a base game item, add-ons with no custom thumbnail. There are 11 patterns in all. I disabled the recolor for random so they shouldn’t just show up on random sims. They’re otherwise enabled for everything the original BG skirt is enabled for.

@isjao ‘s Doja hair in The Historian. This hair is SO CUTE and I just had to have it in my game in these colors (someone else is working on Sorbets Remix, so keep an eye out for that in the Remix Directory).  Download and info below the cut.

Please read these instructions carefully. You NEED the main file (ElisabettaIsjaoDojaHairHistorian) for the other two to work. I was able to texture reference the colors for the other two hairs, which saves significantly on file size (13kb vs 4mb). If you do not install the main file, the other two will NOT work.

I tried a different reshade for CAS and I think it looks pretty great (don’t ask me what it is, I don’t remember! LOL). The colors are still more vibrant than base game, so they will look different in your game depending on your settings/reshade etc. They aren’t edited beyond compositing. 

 These are stand alone recolors with custom thumbnails. They are enabled/disabled for everything the originals are enabled/disabled for (and are definitely disabled for random).

Several of the hairs had the wrong thumbnails. All of them except Ich Will have been updated to have a proper thumbnail (Ich Will was fine). Nothing else has changed but it will make it easier to find the correct hair now. Sorry about that! I also have a wrong preview pic that will be updated shortly! OMG, what is WRONG with me this week? LOL
