Today was a scary day because it was finally time to repot all of my plants. All of them.

First up was the monstera, because I was pretty sure when I got her, there were at least three plants jammed in there.

I was right. Except there were FOUR.

The parlor palm and pilea graduated to bigger pots. My philodendron just got a new soil mixture. My black velvet alocasia and gold dust dracaena remained in their pots, I was honestly too exhausted to deal with them today.

Here’s a partial family picture before everybody went back to their homes.

Aaaaand just like that, with another “final” extension, I will make my ACTUAL final return to Manderlay this May.

I’ve been trying to put into words what this installation means to me and how it has impacted the trajectory of my life.

I won’t have to think about it until after May 15, at least.

So I’m seeing Jeremy Strong in Enemy of the People. And then two nights later, I’ll be in London where I was able to snag a last minute ticket to see Sarah Snook in the one-man Picture of Dorian Grey.

I guess Willa really won Succession after all.

2023 was actually better to me than a lot of my other years. Lots of discovery, growth and development. Honestly, I’m really fucking proud of everything I accomplished, personally and professionally. I put in really hard work, and I’m still reaping the benefits.

Not resolutions, but stuff I’m going to keep chipping away at…

• feeling comfortable taking up space

• travel (I’m coming for Scotland in May and Canada in the fall)

• continuing to advocate for myself

For personal reasons, my new year doesn’t start until January 27, but I’m excited for you, 2024.
