Dumb shirts Part 2 -look at part 1 of this highly necessary series here

The War of the Novelty Shirts -aka an epic tale in revenge-buying dumb shirts for your boyfriend to get back at him for buying you a dumb shirt, only to find out that OF COURSe the idiot (Alfie) likes it. 

Well at least Tommy gets a nice view of the parts that the shirt doesn’t cover, so it’s not a complete failure. 

Alfie retaliates lovingly by gifting Tommy with the snake shirt, since they’re doing an animal theme and all. It’s still huge, still pink and Tommy STILL ends up wearing it

Modern AU and dumb novelty t-shirts (which Alfie definitely bought)

Both of these are actually real t-shirts that exist and are available on a site called ‘look human’ and well I had to draw them because it’s the law. 

Alfie bought that t-shirt for Tommy and yes it’s absolutely way too big thank you for asking, but Alfie thinks that it’s peak humor, considering the print. And Tommy of course planned to never wear it and gave Alfie an absolute death glare. But as it turns out, it’s very comfortable and he also somehow feels like not wearing it would be admitting that he does in fact feel very called out by it. 

So yeah, he wears it.

And Alfie, well Alfie just thinks bread is magical. (He also thinks that Tommy looks magical wearing that shirt.)

So I went to an art conference at my school. We discussed things there, like how colors can be very powerful and our subconscious picks up the subtlest of hints. Pixar’s UP was a very unforgettable example. The colors of UP had a lot to do with why we cried. You all know what I’m talking about, right??

Ellie’s death.

We were told that her color was pink. That’s why her hospital room had pinkish hue.

And the next scene had strong pink hues. He misses her. I think it’s got strong colors because of her personality.

Also, It’s like her presence is still lingering.

When he got home, only a small part of the frame (window on the right) has a pink hue as the sun is setting. By now, we know her presence is drifting away.

Mr. Fredricksen walks up the porch and goes into his house.

And when he shuts the door, the final frame looks like this:

Ellie is gone.

The entire frame is desaturated and cold because the warmth in Mr. Fredrickson’s life is gone.

And that’s another reason why this masterpiece is heart-wrenching. And that’s how powerful colors are in films.

So my friend gave me a bath bomb for christmas and I finally used it last weekend and so I was going to take before and after pictures like everyone’s been doing on tumblr

Just because this is so endearing and I can never get enough of them. So, apparently Orlando whispers something to Viggo which makes the latter cup his face and sweetly kiss him while the other is freaking beaming and being bashful. And let’s not forget Viggo’s smile at the end. *happy sigh*
