2025: 10 Years of 'Out of this World', New Album + Holiday Single?!
Tumblr media
2025 will see the tenth anniversary of what was once my farewell album Out of this World. The album's follow up End of this World will be releasing the same year, and I couldn't be more excited.
Singles from the album will be dropping in the coming months, and while we're nowhere close to finishing the album -- we have some great material written for the release.
We're aiming for this album to be some of my best work to date, and I feel like that is why it's taking so much time. I'm glad the release was pushed out to 2025, it really makes so much sense.
To celebrate 10 years we aren't going to re-release the album -- DK Records actually acquired the rights to that release. But we will be remaking a few songs, so maybe we'll have a old song become a promotional single to help celebrate the release.
We will be seeing a new album in 2025, but that's not all. We are also going to be releasing a holiday EP as well which I'm excited for. 2025 will be my year! I just thank you all for understanding why it's taking some time to perfect the release!
Side note: Limited Vinyl Copies of Beginning of the End SOLD OUT. Thank you all for purchasing !! Can't wait for those to ship out. May 14th looks to be the estimated ship out date. I'll be posting pictures of the album once I have it, test pressing were never sent over to me like expected so it's going to be a huge surprise once it ships out to me as well!!

Be My Guy (Don't Want You To) REMOVED From Streaming
Tumblr media
Starting by the end of the week, Be My Guy (Don't Want You To) will be removed from all streaming services. At one point, the DK Records distributed single was intended to be featured on End of Everything. As you know if DK Records didn't release me from their contract I was going to push out a bunch of unreleased/unpolished songs on an album to meet contractual obligations . This was a song intended solely for that unreleased album.
It was a cut song from Beginning of the End. I didn't care for it, still don't. So I decided it's best to just remove it from my catalog.
Interestingly enough, the single is featured on an exclusive vinyl pressing of Beginning of the End. The VINYL DROP will be LIMITED and more information on pre-orders is coming soon!
As for the song though, I just don't want to keep it on streaming. So buy it now on iTunes if you do happen to want to keep the song, if not it will be going away altogether.

News// 2025 Standard Edition Album Cover, Details, and Title Reveal
Tumblr media
2025 might be ways away, but singles from my upcoming album will start releasing soon. So I figured now is a good time as any to reveal the title and standard edition artwork (pictured above).
End of Everything was initially suppose to be the second part to Beginning of the End, but that since has been retitled. The album will now be called End of this World. It will also serve as a sequel to my 2014/2015 farewell album Out of this World. Which is MAJOR!
The album will certainly follow the same style of music featured in Beginning of the End, but we will also have a blend of songs that sound similar to the EDM vibe featured in Out of this World as well.
I couldn't be more excited releasing an album that will serve as a sequel to both of my favorite albums. I'm absolutely in love with the artwork. The deluxe edition artwork will be revealed closer to the release date.
We're working so hard on the album. I can reveal the first single should be announced SOMETIME soon. So keep an eye out for that. This album will featured a synthy remake of a certain song I'm really looking forward to (no not In My Arms).
Are you excited!?

First Single From Upcoming Album Releasing ...
Tumblr media
Hey everyone, it's me! I wanted to make a personal post here. First and foremost I want to thank you all for being so understanding. I know it's been disappointing hearing my follow up to Beginning of the End not only is delayed, but will see some big changes. I know change can at times be a bad thing, but I assure you it's going to be amazing.
When the first single releases you'll finally understand why I'm so excited for this new project. It will certainly be the second part of Beginning of the End still, though we're going to be seeing something else as well. The album will certainly be a sister album of another album I've put out in my past -- which is why I'm so excited. It sort of is a real full circle experience as it ties my music career together perfectly.
We're hard at work on the album now, so please expect the album's first single to release in the coming months. During that time I'll have more info on the album. It's going to be amazing.
While we're hard at work I may go silent on social media, but I have and will be dropping hints here and there so keep an eye out for that.
Thank you for still supporting me. Since 2009 I've been working on and releasing music. That's 15 whole years. Incredible!
Thank you all again,
Effy xx

2025 Album: Everything We Know So Far...
Tumblr media
As you might know, I returned to music just last year releasing my comeback album Beginning of the End. The album initially had a follow up scheduled to release in 2024 titled End of Everything. The album was expected to have multiple meanings, the first being the end of a relationship and the second meaning an end to my music career once again -- a proper goodbye, vowing the album would be my best work to date.
Plans changed due to my leaving DK Records. The album will have a brand new title, a brand new meaning, and will no longer serve as a farewell album. I decided I want to keep making music, and this truly will be such an iconic album. Here's everything we know about it so far:
Better Off Alone will be on the album
We will re-record the song Better Off Alone and include it on the album. It's such a favorite song of mine, so it's really important to me to include it. The original version is released under DK Records, which is why we're going to re-record it -- though I do feel like it deserves a proper remaster anyway so I'm happy to be doing it!
There Will Be Standard and Deluxe Editions of the album
Don't get too excited now!! The album will have a standard edition and deluxe edition. Though, the deluxe edition will actually include Beginning of the End. This was always intended, and we were able to reach an agreement with DK Records regarding the album so I can include it in the deluxe.
There's a BIG SECRET regarding the album's new title
The album's title is very hush hush right now because it contains something MAJOR! We are already designing the artwork and it's going to be something 10 years in the making. You'll be pleased.
The Release...
2025 we will see the album officially drop, though singles will be rolling out this year!! We are starting fresh, so the album's first single still has not been released. We are disregarding already released singles I've Moved On, Better Off Alone, Be My Guy (Don't Want You To). We technically still have to hit the recording studio to work hard on the album, I don't believe the first single has been recorded -- let alone selected.
Whose excited? I sure am!! The album title will be revealed sometime this year as well as the singles so keep an eye and ear OUT! I'm so excited things are really going our way! And it's all for you. Thank you all around the WORLD for supporting me!!

"We don't want your album" -- DK Records Releases Effy Giraffe From Label/Contract Obligations + 'End of Everything' News
Tumblr media
Yesterday was a big day, DK Records (Parent company of SD Records revived, 2018) reached out stating:
"We have seen your social media posts and are aware of your interest in leaving the label before meeting your two album contract obligation. Consider Beginning of the End and The Hits Collection as your two albums. We don't want your album End of Everything. We will be releasing you from your contract as of March 21, 2024."
This news is major! I am still in the process of finding a new home for my future releases. DK Records still owns my previous releases, but I'm happy I don't have to put out something I'm not passionate about. As for End of Everything, I do have some news:
Given the recent news I am deciding to scrap End of Everything entirely. Beginning of the End will still have a sequel album, but we are changing the title and album cover. We will be revealing that information in time -- probably closer to the release date which is now projected to be in early 2025. The album will have so much! I'm so excited. I do believe we are going to re-record and include Better Off Alone on the album (the two other singles released will not be re-recorded or included on the album).
Although we'll be seeing a 2025 release. Expect singles to drop this year! Since we're starting fresh, we will see the album's FIRST single out sometime in the coming months. I can't wait to tell you exactly what's happening with this album. It will be a sequel to Beginning of the End, but it's also something else. You're going to go wild when you find out ! That's for sure!
Love you all! I can't wait!
xx

Clearing Up Confusion: SD Records vs. DK Records
Tumblr media
I referred to DK Records as SD Records in a recent post and I feel like I need to clarify why I made that comment. Initially, SD Records the label I was signed to early on in my career. Eventually I left and started Effy Productions.
Years passed and I signed with DK Records. In their contract they agreed to acquire all of my old albums and release any future albums. The deal was incredible at the time. My old recordings were held by SD Records. It was unclear to me at the time they didn't just buy back my old records, they actually partnered with SD Records. They never even discussed that with me.
I had a lot of bad experiences with SD, so much so I broke free of them and released music under my own label. So finding out this year the truth about how DK Records really acquired my music inspired me to jump ship. I was livid.
So in short, SD Records and DK Records merged years ago unbeknownst to me and when I finally found out I dropped them. Or at least am trying to.
I hope that clears up the confusion.
Love you all and I promise everything will be sorted eventually.
xx

FAQ: What's With The Animated Artwork For The 2023/24 Eras?
Tumblr media
Many have noticed I leaned towards visuals of realistic Giraffe's for Beginning of the End, continuing on into this year. My reasoning for this is I simply don't want to do any more photoshoots. I'm tired and quite frankly I'm reinventing myself. In part, my releases are experiences. Art. I wanted the visuals to be quite similar.
I know End of Everything didn't pan out to be what I wanted, but going into my 2025 album I feel like we'll be continuing this artistic theme. It is still too soon to say, though I'm excited .
I think my favorite artwork came from Beginning of the End. For certain singles I used my actual face but slow transitioned to a more animated approach, which ultimately was met with positive reception.
I can't wait for you all to see what will be coming.
xx

New Single This Week: Be My Guy (Don’t Want You To)
Tumblr media
As you know, End of Everything will be releasing soon as the last record under DK Records (in partnership with SD records).
The label wanted another single to release to help boost the album; and while I was reluctant to corporate I figured, why not. We’re pushing out Be My Guy (Don’t Want You To) as the albums final single.
The chose this song because it’s extremely sexual and I know it’s not going to blow up. Am I self sabotaging this release? Maybe. It’s still a catchy song.
Should release by this Friday. Keep an eye out, stream if you want or don’t …
xx
Effy
P.S. next album will be incredible. I have so many ideas. Can’t wait for this one to be over with. Sorry for the negativity.

End of Everything: Album Cover Reveal + Information
Tumblr media
Above is the album cover for End of Everything. Admittedly, this cover was a rough draft we ended up tossing and we were going to work on something different. Since it was recently decided SD Records must push this album out, after much push back from myself, I decided we weren't going to waste time designing something different.
As for the albums tracklist, I'm still working on it. I know there will be a lot of old demos and cut tracks from Beginning of the End. We're really just throwing whatever together for this release.
As for the release date, it will release sometime this year. Sooner rather than later. The following album I work on will release sometime in 2025 as I still need to sign with a label. THAT album will be my masterpiece!
I know this isn't really going according to the initial plan but I thank you all. Keep streaming Better Off Alone and I love you guys. I'll be revealing the tracklist sometime soon.
So far we have:
01. End of Everything (Reprise)
02. Better Off Alone
03. I've Moved On
04. Be My Guy (Don't Want You To)
05. [TBA]
06. [TBA]
07. [TBA]
08. Better Off Alone (Slowed Down Version)
09. [TBA]
YES, the album will have nine songs. It's not going to be as extensive due to the shift in plans. Expect new singles from my untitled 2025 release to start dropping right after End of Everything releases.
I'm upset by all of these changes, but I promise I'm still going to give you good songs. We'll be mastering some of the old demos we have and they will make up this album for SD Records.
Then I'll truly be free. I feel like my 2025 release will be my most personal album yet. It truly will be worth it. What we completed already I have to say it's very Beginning of the End meets Out of this World. You'll enjoy it!
love,
Effy xx

'End of the Beginning' to Release Under SD Records
Tumblr media
As you may already know, production on my upcoming album came to a halt as I decided to leave SD Records and pursue another label specifically for the upcoming release.
I threw out there the possibility of releasing End of Everything with demos and takeouts from Beginning of the End if the label forces me to release the project due to contact obligations. I thought it was a good idea, rather than releasing the material I've written, recorded, and love.
I'm happy to announce I will be doing exactly that. End of Everything will release under SD Records. We do have some polishing to do on the tracks, so I'm not sure when the official release date will be.
As for what the plan would be? Ideally, we want to rush the release. I don't care if this album makes a profit. I put my heart and soul into what this album was suppose to be. So, this album truly will be the end of everything. The end of the double album, relationships, and the end of my label partnership.
Check out the next post for more information on the album End of Everything, including the album cover!

New Music Could Be Delayed Due To Record Label Shakeup
Tumblr media
End of Everything was set to release this year, we’ve been hard working on the album since late 2023, though due to a record label shakeup we had to halt production— which could ultimately mean an album delay.
After 6 plus years I decided to leave DK Records. The label was responsible for acquiring my entire back catalog and even released it all to streaming services. Through the years, they’ve taken a major cut in my royalties leaving me with next to nothing.
I have them the option to offer me more of a percentage or I’ll walk, ultimately we couldn’t agree and I walked. We are currently negotiating some other offers, but as of right now we will have to halt production and release of anything music related until further notice.
Many feel this is all so abrupt, and I do certainly agree. This album will be the best of the best. It’s one I’m proud of and I just know it’s going to be my best album to date. I missed out on earning the full amount from my last hit releases, I will not be missing out this time around.
All I can say is when this album releases you will all enjoy it. We’re hoping to work something out sooner rather than later so we can meet the late 2024 deadline. We’ll see.
The biggest issues right now:
- DK Records owns two singles from End of Everything, and I may be contractually obligated to release the album under their label if they decide not to release the rights to Better Off Alone and I’ve Moved On to me.
- In 2023 I signed a minimum two album contract, which could mean I owe them a release. We only ever released one official album Beginning of the End. We also happened to release a greatest hits compilation entitled Effy Giraffe: The Hits Collection which we are currently trying to fight as being an album as well. If all goes according to plan the greatest hits album and beginning both could meet my contract terms. We’re in the process of fighting it, though DK is pushing back heavily.
I’ve probably said too much already. I thank you for your support during this time and I’ll make sure to keep you posted. If I have to I’ll release the album under their label but it won’t be the masterpiece I have in store. I’ll just have a bunch of old demos and takeouts from Beginning of the End and I’ll release a completely different album title on my own without those two singles.
Now I’m thinking about album names …
New Beginnings, Starting Over, The Show Must Go On… So many ideas are flowing!!

Out Now: Better Off Alone (Slowed Down Version)
Tumblr media
Slowed + Reverb Mixes have been popular for quite sometime. I certainly brought a lot of slow versions of my songs to the Beginning of the End album, so why not give my latest single the slowed down treatment!

Reflection: 'Better Off Alone' Single Release + Album Release News ?
Tumblr media
Better Off Alone has been out for just a few days, and I still must say I'm so proud of this song. It definitely is my favorite from the album so far The is the second single from the album, and although the first tanked -- this one seems to be doing well already!
Many might be wondering, when will a third single arrive. I can confirm a third and fourth single won't be making its way to you anytime soon. I won't be rushing anything for this album. So it'll take a moment before we hear anymore singles.
As for the albums release, I always vaguely stated the album would release late 2024. While that is till very much the goal, there is a chance the album could be delayed until early 2025. While, I know that would be disappointing , it certainly isn't the end of the world!
I can't wait for you all to hear everything I've been working on. This album will certainly be a lot of fun. Please keep streaming the second single. Positive interaction will certainly be a motivator for the albums final release. So keep streaming.
Love you all

'Living In Fear': Unreleased from 'Beginning of the End'
Rumored to be an upcoming song from End of Everything, a clip of a song surfaced not too long ago. The demo, simply titled "Effy Demo, Unnamed", gained some traction on X.
The song was actually one we started from Beginning of the End, that went unfinished and discarded. That being said, we flirted with the idea of releasing it on End of Everything but opted not to as it really didn't fit the sound I was working towards for this release.
I realize leaks like this do happen, though it can be disappointing I was not disappointed this time around since it isn't a song I'll be revisiting. I can only imagine one of our producers or engineers leaked it, or heck maybe even posted it while we were making it and it's just now surfacing?
Whatever the case may be, I'll be more mindful going forward .

Second Single: 'Better Off Alone' Receives Early Release
Tumblr media
Better Off Alone was set to release February 23, 2024 and while this is still true -- iTunes and Youtube will exclusively release the song TOMORROW. That's right!
Check out the premiere countdown below, midnight tonight you'll be able to stream the song right here (or on iTunes):
youtube
Better Off Alone will serve as the second single from my upcoming album End of Everything. The album's first single I've Moved On certainly underperformed, so much so it made many behind the scenes nervous. I even have to agree, it wasn't what I wanted it to be. I can see how it just didn't perform well.
Seeing the reactions certainly meant we wanted to make the second single my best yet -- and it certainly is! Such a favorite of mine!! I think this song will blow up!!
So check it out tomorrow, it'll be available on ALL streaming services this Friday!

Vault of Unreleased Effy Giraffe Songs Discovered, Will I Ever Release Them?
Tumblr media
Since 2009, I've been dropping song after song. Album after album. It was pretty consistent until 2014/2015.
2016-2019 I was retired from music and releasing a few songs here and there. Those songs were not new, I always stressed these are old demos remastered as a gift. I discovered them in 2016 which was when I first opened a vault of music. The "vault" featured a lot of songs-- demos, covers, cut songs, raw vocals, all unreleased.
I'm still sitting on those songs and I have to wonder what I'm going to end up doing with them all. In theory I could have "returned to music" and no one would have realized they were songs recorded years ago.
Though, since I wanted to return with a new sound I knew it was important to create new songs. Still, I was going through the unreleased material yesterday and there's so much! It's honestly an overwhelming amount.
Who knows, after my End of Everything journey ends I may put out an unreleased collection? We'll see!
xx
