WHAT AN EXCELLENT QUESTION.

When I started posting the Regency AU sequel sequel, I did have an outline (SHOCKING FOR ME) so I felt confident in everything I put into that summary, and I am still confident, THE DOG REFERENCE WILL MAKE SENSE, I just STILL HAVEN'T WRITTEN IT YET. But it's coming. And in fact I'm actually going to be writing it soon (but where I'm writing is still decently far ahead from where I'm posting).

I have a friend who has a theory that the reason the Regency AU sequel sequel keeps sprawling is because I have promised myself I'll be responsible and go back to finishing up Swan Song as soon as I'm done with it, and so my form of procrastination is to keep adding plot to the Regency AU sequel sequel. I DON'T KNOW THAT SHE'S WRONG ABOUT THIS. I'M SO ASHAMED.

That said, for the first time ever, I feel like I have a sense of the shape of the rest of the story and the end is kind of in sight if you squint. I think we're finally getting there. I AM SERIOUSLY SO ASHAMED, I AM EMBARRASSED DAILY BY THIS STORY.

and omg Pete read Inverno!! I have not read Inverno hahaha but I had never even heard of it until today, when I was flipping through a magazine and there was an entire interview with the author about the book and I ended up reading the whole interview and thinking, That does not sound like a book I would enjoy, and then I moved on with my life. And OF COURSE Pete just read it, his taste in books is so much to deal with. (And yes, he's right about the confusing narrative, the author is primarily a poet and the book sounds like it's a very not-linear book. But of course Pete would pick up a book by a poet.)
