Showcasing knit
Since it is an Industrial fine knitt the stitches ar not really visible
Since I want to play more with hights aka the jacquard options knitt provides I hope to create realistic results with changing the fabric thickness in certain areas. I hope to be able to create a jawaurd that looks like a passap knitt with the normal map or even better the Displacement mat
I am a bit worried though that the program will crash during the render as it has done many times before

Colour
I wanted to keep the coulours for the collection rather dark since they come from the underground but I also don't want them to look to emo. I hope they are interestting an balanced in there appearance
While I was designing I thought about different parts of the deep sea and creating fitri g an matching outfits with it

Following my previous thoughts I sat down an made a song. I wanted it to be scenic yet uplifting at the end. Still with an otherworldly touch to it. The starting point for the emotioninal response was the track: "in the orphernage" from blade runner 2042

Video Idea
Since I don't have a product besides a toile to show I was thinking what else I could put in a movie. I want it to be a uniteing and motivational video. It needs to bee inclusive and should have some elements of sorry telling in it

Concep
It's is really important for me to be an support er of all shapes and sizes when it comes to breastst. I'm frankly quite annoyed at the same boob type Beeing pushed as well as the same look in a woman. I think for my video shoot I want to collect a range of boobs and woman. In my opinion it makes more sense to pick a girl with similar beats to your own ones and then see how the bra works on her. Only presenting after pictures makes that quite hard. And additionally I am fed up with the female nipple Beeing censored.

Normal maps and Displacement maps
I played a lot with normal and Displacement maps to make my fine knit as realistic as possible which hard and a lot for the computer to process. What works very well though is making a very very strong normal map
If I do that there is almost no need for a Displacement map and I can get a good fine result

Problems
Clo
Unable to cut within fabric
No Layer management for the pattern pieces that is Independent from the sewing any assembly Hiracy,
No grouping possible yet
Relationship between overlaying patternpices can not be defined
Internal lines are not smooth tho handel
Internal lines make file to big
Preset to define that internal lines don't have a fold preset
Printplacement is not possible over seams nor does clo calculate the right placement
Exporting dfx patterns from clo into lectra leads to baselines Beeing taken over into lectra. Lots of deleting necessary
Lectra clo
Import is easy but clo calculates bezier lines into strange wobbly lines
Better dialog necessary
Corner points become round

Presets for linger making in clo
Avatar
Best bodyscann of a real person since the beats in clo are far from accurate
The person should be scanned with perfect fitting bra and the same one with 3cm lowered brastraps
Turn both into avatars
After that :
Skin offset of avatar 00
Static Friction 1
Kinetic Friction 1
Use avatar with lowered breasts
If pattern pieces are drawn directly on the avatar change the default fabric immediately after extracting the basepatterns to
Fabric knit Terry
(or any knitfaric that is close to the final desired material properties)
Miscellaneous : quad
Particle distance 10-max 15
I have noticed that quad makes knitfaric drape way nicer but the particle distance needs to be according otherwise the program can't calculate the right output
Grainline: skin tension lines
After that in/export from clo to lectra and vice versa to adjust the pattern clening up the edges
Fitmap: red under the breast
Strain map : =
Stress map :=
Fit on avatar with beats in right position /hight
Make finals adjustments

I am playing around with the colors of my design but I have the feel I am all the way back to sportswear and that's not what I wanted :/
I tried to work with opacity but since I do t waht to use see trough yarns I need to think about ajour but that means very specific transition between the knits and I have no idea how to feed that to clo without making it an even more huge file that it's already is

Clo is even after stocking up my ram veeeeery u happy with the amounts of lines I feed it in my designs, which lead to constant breakdowns. I thought about using a Displacement map for the bigger renders but when I tried that with the knit direction map the computer was allready working very very hard to finish the render so I will not work with my designs.
I need the shedule every hopefully very good andaybe I can use the computers in the Vr minor

I have finished all maps and hope to finish the techpack soon. Since I can not say exactly where which knit needs to be only suggestion are possible. Everything becomes more vague again and in dont like that. I have the real feeling that I'm incapable of Comunicating what I need and what I have thought about.

The grainlines are a pain but after talking to Lana they are understandable but need a legend or they will be understood as a ribnit. I can see where she is coming from. I think I will add a strech, knit and pull map to offer more depth and insight into what I thought about when I designed

Holidays
Over the holidays I emerged myself into work
I designed 5 more outfits. Fitted them I. The tidious process of the first one, created perfect patterns for it, designed to surface, stitched them together and started with the knit map for each of them. I like the designs I hope they are diverse enough. It not necessarily a mix and mache set approach but that's something I don't like, since I have the feeling its often done to be ready for a boy instead of evaluating the garment after it's use and comfort.
I'm quite scared since this project is so big and I have the feeling I am running into a wall. That nothing is well executed and not even doable or that nobody understands. I have a meeting with Lana after the holidays
I hope that will lift my spirit

the attempt of a fitmap the dark colour signals areas where shaping and support is required. yellow signals high stretch and grey means mid-stretch with high recovery. Sadly clo always misplaces the print on the left cup so I could not use the render

differences in maps after my renders broke down repeatedly, I tried to showcase the material without the displacement map but it doesn't look as good nor as realistic which is kind of important with my fine knit structures. I hope I can manage to render when I buy a bigger ram because the school computers are the old version and cant use displacement maps
