i am by no means saying that isola needs to be perfect. i stated that i understand they have lives outside of isola and i’ve stated that i understand that coming up with ideas can be hard. this isn’t to diss the mods nor discredit them for anything. i truly, honestly, just want everyone to enjoy themselves more.

i also asked for transparency. i said i’m fine with the mods taking their time, i just want them to be transparent about it. please, before you jump the gun, read my words carefully bc now it’s kinda awkward lol

WELP, ya clicked read more; you can still click away at any time, though, so reading all this is your decision. hi there, guys! i’m dropping hop and kamui from isola. while i’d like to say it’s just because i’ve lost muse, i’d be lying. i don’t mean to cause any offense or trouble, but i will be honest and say that it’s because of how this group is treated. i’m going to let some of my feelings out as well as list some points, so please close this now if you’d rather not read it.

‘what are you talking about?’ you might ask. well, i’m talking about many things, actually. to gloss over a few things... as of writing this, the events page hasn’t been updated since shine bright (three events ago), there’s no general lore page(s), The Incident surrounding one of hop’s pokemon (that one gave me bad anxiety lol), unnecessary restrictions on events (for example, statues couldn’t talk in canvas and if you wrote them talking you were just hallucinating), and lack of communication between mods and members.

(a side note: i’m never given a reason as to why i should care about ofiuco or the (characters, not mods) stars. the events i’ve participated in have been a bit, um. lacking, as well. i know coming up with ideas can be hard, though.)

i’d like to touch on something a bit more, actually. mods, if you’re reading this, hiya! please stop playing favourites and putting yourself above the rules. i’ve seen this happen way too many times in the year i’ve been here, and it’s honestly frustrating to see. people passing activity checks when they shouldn’t have, for example.

another thing: the discord server was put off for a while so we could avoid ‘clique activity’ or however it was called, yet the discord server now has just that. well.. had, maybe? it’s kind of dead now (i left the server yesterday), but you get the point. for people just coming into isola, that’d be very isolating, don’t you think? the characters are supposed to be isolated, not the members,,,

almost forgot, but this is equally as important: lack of transparency from the mods. i’m fine with them taking time, but i’d appreciate being told so. on the housing form after you’ve submitted, it states it’s checked/filled every sunday. it took me about three months to get it. while i understand the mods and assistants have lives outside of isola, there are a lot of them. again, this could be solved with some transparency. if you’re going to take a while, then say so. it’s, again, frustrating.

i love the interactions and connections hop has made here on isola, i really do. but the way isola is handled unfortunately outweighs that. again, i don’t mean any ill intent, i just wanted to be transparent myself. hey, maybe if a mod reads this, it’ll give them the push to make isola better for everyone! that’s enough from me, though. thank you everyone for the wonderful threads! maybe we’ll meet again on indie, who knows?

Hop hits bull’s eye without even knowing it, but Klavier makes sure not to let the younger one catch on. He laughs at his outburst, hoping for Klavier that he did not have to prosecute his second guitarist. He had done that, back then, but Klavier really does not wanna talk about it at all.

I don’t know if guitars are expensive over here. They can be, back home. Aber I have not yet found a shop that sells them.

Klavier’s eyes fall onto the sheep in Hop’s arms again. It does look very soft and he would love to touch the wool of the sheep, confirming if his eyes are deceiving him or not. If Felt really is as soft as it looks like.

Oh, you would pay me with letting me pet your friend? That sounds like a very nice payment indeed!

He laughs softly. He can he not when Hop is acting so adorable.

I would not want to keep him, don’t worry. I haven’t taken care of a pet in years and I have no idea what I had to do to make sure Felt would be happy. Aber petting him? Oh, I’d be so in!

Uhm… can I get a payment in advance maybe? Just a little pet, right now?

“You’ll find one soon enough, ‘m sure!” He reassures; Hop couldn’t find any places that sold Potions, Revives, or Full Heals, but guitars? Those aren’t ‘world-specific’ at all! “There’s bound to be ‘least one shop that’s got ‘em.”

He squashes down the urge to laugh at Klavier’s eagerness to pet Felt and pretends as if he’s thinking hard on what to do, brow furrowing with a thoughtful hum. Of course he’d let the other pet his partner, but sometimes a little mischievous voice in Hop’s head wants him to cause a bit of unrest every now and then, even if just a small amount... like right now.

“Hmmm, I dunnoooo...” He can’t help but crack a smile. “What do you think, Felt?” The Wooloo plays along, face scrunching up in faux contemplation, before nodding with a light bleat. Hop’s smile is back in full force as he scoots closer to Klavier, raising his partner higher. “That settles it, then! One advanced payment, comin’ right up!”

Hop runs his hand along Felt’s wool gently. “Ye can pet ‘im like this...” His hand then moves up to give the top of Felt’s head scritches, and the Wooloo leans into the touch. “... or like this. Don’t worry ‘bout bein’ bit either, he’s a real delight!”
