Headcanons: Family

Pence grew up in a family of mostly women; His mother (Paige) was a single mom who had three other sisters; Maisy, Rita, and the youngest Nina.

His cousins (six in total) were all girls as well, so far making him the only boy in his family outside of his aunt’s husbands, Damian, Peter, and Myles and his grandfather.

The sisters spend a lot of their time together during holidays and birthdays, and throw the occasional family gatherings, which meant Pence spent many years growing up surrounded by them, which he doesn’t mind one bit. His cousins are the main reason as to his understanding with how chaotic Olette can be.

His grandmother loves to cook, and has taught each of her daughters several recipes, including his mother’s ‘Watermelon pops’.

The only thing Pence had from his father was an old work laptop, which his mother kept, but could never figure out how to use as it was locked with a password she couldn’t figure out. That was where his adoration of technology began, as Pence worked long and hard to figure out the password, only to be given the laptop as a gift from his mother once he’d cracked it. He would later take it apart to figure out how it all worked, and put it back together, doing the same thing to several other electronics and kitchen appliances.

He got so good at it, that his family encouraged him into working more with computers and technology, especially since he knew, or could figure out how to fix most things that broke for them.
