Focused on the unfinished sketch of a roller coaster resembling a snake in the back of her notebook, Zuri pretended to pay attention to whatever the other was saying. All she knew was it was a story she probably wouldn’t care for. She kept her eyes on the paper while giving a nod every now and then along with a few uh huh’s and ohh’s to make them think she was listening. However, when she noticed her drawing was just about finished, a sigh left her mouth as she though of the two choices she had.

A) Take 10 minutes out of her life to listen to what the other was talking about.

B) Be honest (and maybe a little mean)

Being the sweet little cupcake Zuri is not, she decided honesty was best. “Yeah, that’s nice but on a scale from 1 to 10, how much do you think I care about this story?” She questioned while closing the notebook. Yes, she could’ve put her honesty is a nicer way but considering she’d rather cut straight to the point, she couldn’t care less whether it sounded rude or not. “I’m gonna be honest, I’ve been ignoring you since you got here.”

“Mmm whatcha say?”

— Zuri get’s frustrated with Noah.

Being one of the rare moments she would actually be in the mood for socializing with others; Zuri didn’t mind repeating herself once or twice. “I said, it’s isn’t that hard to use a sword; all you have to do is try not to get sta—” Once again hearing the same question again, only this time before she could finish her sentence. By the third time, she was positive he was doing it as a joke; but it only made her go back to feeling like her usual irritable self. “If you ask me that one more time, your face is going to be on a mis—” This time pausing in her words when noticing Noah began to laugh lowly, Zuri shot a evil glare from her eyes straight into his before hearing those words. “Mmm whatcha say?” His joke only made her need to throw an over-exaggerated tantrum grow even more but instead, she made and attempt to keep it under control by rubbing both sides of her head in circular motion with her index finger and thumb.

His facial expression switched from joyous to confused when he saw her becoming frustrated. He then raised his left hand to remove the headphone from his ear; being the last thing the girl would expect him to do at this moment. “Are you okay?” He asked, being unaware of what was happening. The urge Zuri had to yell at the boy had suddenly disappeared once she realized he really was singing along to the song. “Uh— yeah.. I’m fine!”

"Yeah, it’s freaky-looking, okay? That’s what it is.”

— Zuri accidentally let’s an unusual animal into Pluto’s room.

With nothing but pure confusion in her facial expression as Zuri turned her eyesight towards the other girl. Neither were sure exactly where the small creature had come from; one minute Zuri’s opening a window and next thing you know — They receive an unwanted visit from a creepy looking animal. “One of us is gonna have to put it back outside…” By the way Pluto stared back at her, she was already positive the two were gonna spend some time debating over who had to remove it from the room. “Not today, Satan; absolutely not! You’re the one with the adventurous background.” She refused while crossing her arms and shaking her head. Zuri would do anything herself; however, this was the creepiest thing she’s ever seen, who knows where it’s been or what it does?? Afterall— she is the one who asked her to open the window. “Stare at me all you want, I’m not touching it.”
