The Venkateshwara Group Chairman Dr. Sudhir Giri, received the Bharat Shikhar Award from the Cabinet Minister of Jal Shakti, Mr. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
It was a momentous day for the Venkateshwara Group.
Dr. Sudhir Giri, the Group Chairman, was honored with the Bharat Shikhar Award for excellence in education and health by Mr. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, the Cabinet Minister of Jal Shakti.
Dr Sudhir Giri was honored for his outstanding contributions to higher, medical, and professional education, as well as his provision of world-class medical and health services to the public.
The Jal Shakti Minister Mr. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Acharya Balkrishan of Patanjali, Central Minister Mr. RK Singh, & the Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri inaugurated the award ceremony at Hotel Taj Mansingh by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.
The MDH Chairman, Mr. Rajiv Gulati & the Pro Chancellor, Dr Rajiv Tyagi, joined them to inaugurate the Bharat Shikhar Award ceremony at the 5-star hotel in Delhi.
In his address, the Chief Guest, Mr. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, asserted PM Modi’s guarantee has empowered the youth to work for the country’s economy rather than heading abroad.
The educational institutions have a primary role in the success of the Developed India campaign 2047. Through NEP 2020, research & innovation India will once again become a world leader in the coming decade.
The minister praised the Venkateshwara Group for its admirable work. They are offering higher education to underprivileged students in rural areas. Further, they are providing free medical services to residents of UP West.

Shri Venkateshwara University and the state of UP emerged victorious in the National Baseball Championship 2023 at Bhopal.
It was a historic day for Shri Venkateshwara University and the state of UP as the UP baseball team, led by Dr. Sudhir Giri, President of UP Baseball Federation & Chairman Venkateshwara Group, emerged victorious in the National Baseball Championship 2023 at Bhopal.
The Uttar Pradesh Baseball team won the Gold medal & a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh by defeating Uttarakhand in the finals.
The UP team played well to outshine Chandigarh, Punjab, Chhattisgarh & Uttarakhand in the finals to clinch the National Baseball Championship 2023.
Emboldened by the win, Dr Sudhir Giri announced the Venkateshwara Group will offer cash prize and scholarships to the medal winning team at the upcoming International South Western league to be held at Mexico from September 02.
Dr Rajiv Tyagi Pro chancellor Shri Venkateshwara University & the official representative of Dr Sudhir Giri elaborated that the UP team outclassed Haryana, Chhattisgarh & Punjab in league, quarter & semi-final matches respectively.
In the finals, UP defeated the defending champion Uttarakhand by 3-1 and for the first time became national champions.
He announced that the along with traditional sports like wrestling, Kabaddi & hockey, the Venkateshwara Group is providing a launching platform for various games and championships.
On UP becoming the national baseball champion, there was a beeline of people congratulating Dr Sudhir Giri who is the President of UP Baseball Federation & a sports enthusiast.
Those congratulating Dr Sudhir Giri included the Sports Minister Dr Anurag Thakur, President of BSFI Dr Joginder Singh, National Secretary Dr Anupam Choksey & hundreds of others who complimented our Chairman for his dedication towards sport.

On July 21, Shri Venkateshwara University held its 9th Convocation ceremony, awarding degrees and medals to over 200 MBBS and PhD scholars for their exceptional performance.
The Chancellor Dr Sudhir Giri exhorted the researchers & Doctors to offer their services to the remotest hamlet by helping the needy & poor.
This will lead to nation development & will be my real Guru Dakshina he said.
The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, Sugarcane Minister & the CG Mr. Sanjay Gangwar, Special Guest Minister of State for Energy Mr Somendra Tomar & the Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi inaugurated the Convocation Ceremony 2023 by taking the Guard of Honor & took the salute of the parade.
Dr Sumedha Didi, Administrator of Gurukul Kanya Mahavidyalaya, & Prof. VPS Arora Chief Advisor to Group Chairman, assisted them in inaugurating the event.
After this, the dignitaries honoured Dr Madonna Roy, Dr Diksha Adhlakha, & Dr Senam Sood with Gold, Silver & Bronze medals respectively.

Why education with values is important?
Education with values is important because it nurtures a pluralistic society where people of all religions, class, creed & sects can live in harmony.
An education without values will lead to a corrupt society because every individual will nurture his personal gains, undermining national interest.
Countries like Japan are a perfect example of values education because they have the lowest crime rates in the world.
Their commitment towards their work comes foremost & other things take backstage because they believe in work is worship.
We hear stories of crimes being perpetrated on fellow citizens, as onlookers have poor values where they don’t empathize with the victim. We see videos of people filming accident victims instead of ferrying them to the hospital.
All this is growing as people are becoming self-centered without paying heed to others’ feeling - a clear lack of empathy.
Education with values is crucial as humanity is making a revolutionary breakthrough in Science & technology, the latest being Artificial Intelligence. People will lack peace of mind despite luxuries.
Regular shooting incidents in the US highlight that tolerance, empathy, equality, justice & dignity are missing in their society. They have amassed wealth but cannot discard the colonial prejudice that instigates them for violence.
The feeling of racial superiority has turned them blind to the fact that all humans are equal, whether they are born black, brown, or white.
The constitution of India offers all citizens some basic freedoms. We guarantee these in the Constitution as the six broad categories of Fundamental Rights, which are justifiable. Article 12 to 35 contained in Part III of the Constitution deal with Fundamental Rights. These are:
Constitution promotes education with values
Right to equality, including equality before law, prohibition of discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth, and equality of opportunity in matters of employment.
The Right to freedom of speech and expression, assembly, association or union, movement, residence, and right to practice any profession or occupation (some of these rights are subject to security of the State, friendly relations with foreign countries, public order, decency or morality).
Right against exploitation, prohibiting all forms of forced labour, child labour and traffic in human beings.
The Right to freedom of conscience and free profession, practice, and propagation of religion.
The right of any section of citizens to conserve their culture, language or script, and the right of minorities to establish and administer educational institutions of their choice; and
Right to constitutional remedies for protecting the Fundamental Rights.

Empathy–One should consider another person’s feeling called empathy. Accident victims writhing in pain & onlookers are busy making videos is a perfect example of a complete lack of empathy.
Equal Opportunities–The fundamental principle of Indian democracy is equal opportunities for all irrespective of religion, class or creed, which eliminates any kind of discrimination.
Respect for the Environment -We must educate people about the value of maintaining the environment because of global warming leading to floods and drought.
Care for Health–Value education pertains to teaching children the adverse effects of smoking, alcohol & drugs. If they abstain from these, they will lead a healthy & longer life.
Critical Thinking–Once children learn to analyse any situation, they will take informed decisions leading to better outcomes.

Honesty- We have learnt that honesty is the best policy, and it is indeed. A country with honest people will see faster growth than those with a dishonest lot.
Honesty is into everything from following traffic rules to paying taxes and to earning ethically.
Corruption never breeds in an honest society because people will follow the rules & not do anything wrong.
Responsibility–We should take responsibility for our actions. Value education teaches us to be responsible towards our job, family, and nation. If every individual understands his responsibility, then the country progresses because its citizens will perform their duties with responsibility.
Tolerance - One should be tolerant towards others’ beliefs, religions and customs because that’s the foundation of a multicultural society.
India is a perfect example where all religions, castes, creeds have thrived because our constitution provides freedom of religion.
Importance of Value Education
Respect–For the elders, ladies and the underprivileged nurtures a society where people can live in peace and harmony without social issues.
Perseverance–Success is the reward of consistent perseverance to achieve our goals.
Without putting in hard work, one cannot achieve glory because it requires consistent efforts. Value education teaches us to preserve until we achieve our goal.
These values will nurture Olympic winners, innovators and entrepreneurs because they will keep trying until they gain success.
Education with values is important so that nations use their manpower for constructive research and not for fighting among themselves.
The world over there is internal strife because people are not tolerant of others’ beliefs and customs.
Counties like Syria, Afghanistan, & Yemen are experiencing human catastrophe because they have exhausted their resources by infighting. Had their leaders instilled values in education, their citizens would have lived a better life.

When the country has high standards, we can ward off corruption, nepotism, discrimination, and traffic woes.

Incidents of fraud, & cybercrimes involving women and children are a testimony that, despite being educated, people lack moral values.

On the occasion of World Health day (April 7), the Shri Venkateshwara University organized a 5 day Health Awareness week which culminated on April 11th.
For spreading awareness about drugs & female foeticide, we conducted a health awareness rally, poster making, health seminar, street plays, quiz & over a dozen events where many students took part.
We organize these events to inform students about the adverse effects of drugs and female foeticide.
Further, the Venkateshwara Group is establishing health centers in rural areas so that villagers have access to quality healthcare.
On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, we felicitated the cleaners with the Cleanliness Motivation award as they are the backbone of our cleanliness campaign.
Women empowerment through value education
We also organized a seminar on the topic through truth & equality India reaching the pinnacle of Glory because equality is crucial for the nation’s development.
Shri Venkateshwara University fosters women's empowerment because they foster nation development and are the other half of the country.
On completion of 1 year of the 2nd term of the Yogi Government, the UP Government along with Shri Venkateshwara University & the UP Police organized the Women Excellence Award function 2023.
We presented 155 Women Excellence Awards to participants from the Police, education, Arts, literature, sports and social service who did exemplary work in their domain.
Famous dignitaries felicitated included the DSP Ms. Anjali Kataria, VP of Gargi College Dr Vagmita Tyagi, Dr Poonam Khatana of DU, Historian Dr Manisha Tyagi, & the Social Activist Ms. Anubhuti Chauhan.

He worked relentlessly during Covid times & cured over 5000 patients & recorded the lowest deaths in the country.

The UP Government conferred upon him the prestigious ‘Excellence Health care Award’ for doing excellent work during Corona. At an event in Lucknow, Dr Suresh Khanna UP Cabinet Minister felicitated Dr Giri with the Excellence award & a citation.
Further, he adopted innovative teaching practices so that the studies of the students are not affected & the faculty completes the syllabus on time.
The Asian Chamber of Commerce lauded the efforts of Dr Sudhir Giri to provide free of cost medical services during Corona & for adopting innovative teaching practices.
For these momentous efforts, Dr Sudhir Giri received the Asia Education Excellence Award 2021.
Dr Sudhir Giri has climbed the ladder of success through sincere hard work & reckons the hardships faced by rural youth in getting educated.

ALL ABOUT MBBS COURSES AND MBBS COLLEGES
INTRODUCTION
Medicine is a stream that involves the exercise of treatment, prevention, and elimination of diseases.
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) is an undergraduate program in the domain of medicine.
The MBBS degree is of 5½ years, comprising 9 semesters followed by one year of internship/ live training.
Some of the best MBBS colleges are in Delhi, NCR offering specializations in several fields, such as cardiology, nephrology, pathology, pediatrics, ENT, orthopedics, plastic surgery, and many more.
ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRANCE
To be eligible for appearing for the medical entrance exam, the candidate must have passed their HSC exam with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) and should have English as a core subject in both Classes 11 and 12 from a recognized board with a score of at least 50% marks in their HSC (the minimum percentage of marks required can vary from college to college).
In order to get a seat in some of the best MBBS colleges in India, the candidate needs to clear the NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test). The number of marks a candidate scores in the NEET decides their rank and in which medical colleges will they be able to get a seat.
BEST MBBS COLLEGES IN UTTAR PRADESH
If we talk numbers, there are approximately 595 medical colleges in India and 89395 MBBS seats are available, offered through the NEET UG score.
These seats are inclusive of Government, private, Deemed medical, ESIC, Central Universities, AIIMS, and JIPMER.
If we talk about the fee structure, then the MBBS college fee varies from government and private to deemed colleges.
On average, the MBBS course fee from a government institute is around 20,000 to 7 lakh, while, the fee for pursuing an MBBS course from a private institute is way more compared to a government institute, it can range from 20 lakh to 1 cr.

EDUCATING A GIRL CHILD MEANS EDUCATING A NATION
Hailing from a rural background, I have closely seen the difficulties and hurdles that people have to face in rural areas.
One of the most disturbing factors is a lack of awareness of girl education. We established Shri Venkateshwara University in the heart of Gajraula, a rural area of Uttar Pradesh.
The vision behind this was to impart education to all the classes and to spread awareness towards educating the girl child.
I firmly believe that a girl’s education shouldn’t be considered a burden. She is a child who deserves a strong and educated future. Nowadays, girls all over the world are facing gender discrimination–just for being born as a daughter.
A girl’s education is valued less, and in certain cases, they force her into early marriage, faces violence, or become a victim of human trafficking. Her childhood span is reduced forcefully. Especially in the rural areas of India, feticide, child marriage, early marriage, etc. are very common practices. Due to lack of education and poverty, the girl child suffers even more.
Many factors lead to female feticide, but a major reason is the prospect of having to pay a dowry to the future groom of a daughter. People in the rural homesteads feel that spending money on a girl’s education is also a waste because she will ultimately get married one day.
While, they believe sons offer security in old age and can perform the last rites for the parents, while daughters are perceived as a social and economic burden. People have misused technologies like prenatal sex detection, allowing selective abortions of unborn females.
“Education for Girls” has been an important issue and various policymakers across the globe are forming rules and laws to promote it and also to stop female feticide, especially in developing countries.
Gender inequalities in educational outcomes still exist. Almost 69% of the population of India lives in or around rural areas, meaning reformers and educationalists need to work even harder and form strong policies that would help women and girls.
A girl’s education can change everything, as it is said that “educating a woman means educating an entire generation”.
An educated girl has more chances to grow up into a healthy and empowered individual who can determine their course of life and future.
An educated and well-read girl can decide when she’s ready for marriage and children. She is aware of the biological, psychological, and economical aspects involved in marriage and childbirth.
Despite many hurdles and hardships, we have realized that educating girls is crucial.
Women of today’s times are way ahead compared to men in almost every sphere of life. I believe and give special emphasis on educating women and have made many reforms in the educational institutes set up by the VGI group to support girl education.
There are many examples of women leading the economic and social sectors with successful results. Girls are bringing a silent revolution in society and also globally.
Girl-child education has played a pivotal role in the development of our country. Women are serving the country in various fields, ranging from technology, arts, media, sports, science, social services, literature, and all kinds of political affairs.
I strongly feel that the mind-set of seeing girls only as a housewife needs to change as now girls are way ahead in every field, and are showing positive results with the help of education.
So much so that women have even challenged the narrow approach of society and made a place in the Indian Armed forces as well, defending our country against the enemies.

Recently, Shri Venkateshwara University organized a conference on “Khelo India-Jeeto India” under the “Wako India Kickboxing Federation” (Ministry of Sports, Government of India).
The guest of honor was Mr. Santosh K. Agarwal, the president of the Wako India Kickboxing Federation.
Dr. Giri also plans on introducing special scholarships and quotas for students belonging to the financially weaker sections of society, who are exceptionally good at playing a particular sport, so that they can hone their talent and gain proper education side by side.
The university campus extends over a vast area of around 60 acres and has ample space for sports and extracurricular activities. For students, a fully equipped gymnasium is also present on campus.

EDUCATION IN RURAL AREAS SIGNIFICANT FOR INDIA’S DEVELOPMENT
Rural education has become a significantly vital aspect of every economy.
In India, rural education plays an even major role as the rural economy contributes to 25-30% of the country’s GDP.
Therefore, literacy in these parts is essential for the growth of the Indian economy.
Education is important for everybody, be it learning new skills, facts, or trades.
The opportunity to learn always benefits a person as it increases employability options, & also gives knowledge about healthcare and hygiene.
It helps one decipher between wrong and right and also facilitates their and their future generation’s holistic growth.
Many reforms and policies are there for promoting education in the developed parts and cities of India, like the metropolitan cities and nearby areas.
However, the rural communities that makeup such a huge percentage of the Indian economy need major educational promotion, reforms, and policies.
Dr. Sudhir Giri, a business prodigy, set up Shri Venkateshwara University in the rural area of Uttar Pradesh; Gajraula with the vision to “Take Education Towards the Rural Areas”.
Sir observed and keenly studies the demographics of the area. There were no good educational institutions around the area, and most of the good colleges or institutes were at a distance from the habitats of the locals.
This motivated him to set up a fully equipped university, medical college, and a hospital in the nearby range so that young adults did not have to move to urban areas for gaining higher education.

A strong education system in rural communities can strengthen the rural populace as it teaches them to make informed decisions about their farms and also trains them to implement technology in agricultural practices.
Education also enables individuals to learn of their fundamental rights and stay informed about various reforms, policies, and schemes made by the government for their betterment, so that they can make use of these facilities.
According to a report, the number of kids who haven’t attended school in India is probably over ninety million, and rural India forms an overwhelming majority of this figure.
These terribly shocking digits seem even worse when we know that school-going boys form a much higher percentage of children in rural India gaining a high-school diploma, whereas the girl child is deprived of basic education.
What’s even more disturbing is that more than half of the students in class 5th cannot read a textbook from class 2nd or 3rd. They barely even know how to solve elementary mathematical problems.
Some of the major problems faced by students in rural areas are:
1. Lack of quality education: First, there is a lack of colleges and universities in rural areas, even if there are, they lack quality education, and many courses are not even a part of the curriculum.
These institutes don’t have laboratories, libraries, or other facilities necessary for technical courses like engineering and medical sciences.
2. Scarcity of excellent teachers: Institutes set up in the lesser developed areas do not have a skilled teaching force that results in lower teaching standards.
3. Financial aspects: A majority of students belonging to rural areas are not financially very strong.
Therefore, many youngsters don’t even think of gaining higher education, they directly start working after finishing basic schooling.
Their families find it useless to send their kids to cities, as the living expenses and exorbitant fees are impossible for them to pay.
4. Social factors: In rural areas, even to date, girls and women cannot move to urban areas to receive higher education.
It is a major challenge faced by women and this results in negligible or no higher education for women living in rural areas.
Apart from the above problems, there are many other hurdles that people in rural areas have to face.
The government, however, is taking various measures and making more and more policies for the promotion of proper education in India. For the betterment of rural education, we should also take these factors into consideration:
1. Good use of technology: Technology will help reduce costs in education and increase convenience. It will also help children learn computer skills, which are a vital part of primary and higher education.
Schools can also impart e-learning software systems that offer an all-in-one learning experience and guarantee quality education, like the urban cities.
2. We should set up more schools: Many more schools need to be set up near rural areas, as a major part of India comprises rural areas.
Setting up excellent schools would also help parents impart excellent education to their children without having to worry about transportation costs.
3. Quality teaching force: Qualified and skilled teaching force should handle primary and higher education. Teachers should avoid absenteeism and ensure that students get a quality education without relocating to other parts of the country.
