I'm curious about the veiled woman... is she the creator of the world? the actual "god" or maybe the personification of fate?

ohhh yes maybe! would explain why he is so bitter and frustrated too. i like that theory!
ever since i played enderal for the first time ive been wondering who the aged man is. my main theory is that he was a prophet from way back, fled with his companion and is now "forced" to witness every new cycle.
He confirms he is fleshless in the dialogue after the prophet uses the word of the dead, which, imo, means he is very likely an emissary from one of the previous cycles.
If he is not the prophet perhaps he is even the emperor? ("my pride was my downfall", "back then I coould have given you an impressive answer" when asked who he is)
But that would still leave the question as to why he doesnt just tell the prophet what will happen during the cleansing. Perhaps the veiled woman is invovled, not allowing him to share his knowledge?
there are probably already answers out there but i just needed to get my toughts/ideas/theories out of my head LOL
do any of you have theories about the aged man?

I never even noticed the similarities in the music! the music you hear in the dreams sounds like the beginning of the piece the aged man plays, so perhaps the prophet only "remembers" part of it? like a left-over memory stored away somewhere. When it comes to the dialogue the only thing i remember is that he told the prophet to listen to the music. He also said that "art allows us to see what our mind doesn't want us to see" even though i think that was in reference to the dolls/puppets. still think that can be said about the music too. And what about the letter the prophet finds in his study? Who was it addressed to? He writes that his pride was his fall and warns the recipient to not make the same mistake. Is the recipient another fleshless one from another cycle? Another thing that got me thinking is that he recreated certain scenes with his puppets - Calia and Dal'Galar, Jespar and Adila but also Ryneus and his fate. Did he recreate them because he observed them and wanted to show or maybe even prove to the prophet that he is an observer? Or are those maybe events that have transpired before, in other cycles? I dont remember if it was in reference to the puppets in one of the rooms or the ones outside the manor but didn't Jespar also say that something about it feels familiar? I could be misremembering though.
He also mentioned a bunch of interesting things in the conversation he has witht he prophet, after they used the word of the dead. He calls himself an observer or "fleshless eye", like many other characters says the prophet doesn't want to see or question, that people have to realize things for themselves and cant force them to see and that it "has never worked and it never will", that he observes the cycle "among other things" He also makes clear that everything he says is thought through, meaning that none of the things he has revealed to the prophet were accidental.
There are so many thoughts rolling around in my head like a little marble, im sorry for this mess lol
