If they actually wanted to make Lucifer sympathetic in season 13 they should have used it on him grabbing Gabriel by the scruff of the neck when he tries to commit suicide by battle and pushed him through the portal to take his place fighting Michael. It didn’t have to be anything big, no grand moment, just a wordless “I’m sorry” passed between them after their fight the night before. I wordless “I still love you”.

under fics i’ll never get around to writing is one where jess’ spirit is still tied to their apartment but she only show up to people who have been hurt by a demon to warn them. so naturally, it doesn’t happen very often until ben, who moves into the apartment for college, does start to see her. eventually he finds a reddit post or something and through talking to a few people, he gets claire’s number to help

as they make their way to ben’s, she’s showing something on her phone to him and her lockscreen is a group photo from a family bbq with jody, donna, the other girls, and tfw 2.0. and ben recognizes dean as the guy who got into a car accident with ben and his mom, which is strange because dean’s a pretty good driver, even if she’ll never tell him. and just as they step into the apartment, jess appears because claire has also been touched by a demon and the ghost says something about a sam winchester and warns her to be careful

so after all that, she calls up dean and cas and says, “what the fuck did you do to ben braedon and his mom” and calls up sam and says, “there’s a ghost at this apartment who keeps asking for you and saying something about demons, what’s that about?” and they all have panic attacks

i’m so serious why the fuck did kripke not commit to the bit and make sam and dean completely feral unsocialized freaks. they grew up completely isolated from other normal people AND other hunters. they barely have a formal education in the public school system given how much they moved around. they were raised by tv and left unsupervised in backwoods motels for weeks at a time. their dad was a paranoid obsessive widow vigilante that trained them to shoot first and ask questions later. they essentially escaped a fucking cult. oh yeah and one of them is the antichrist. they’re meant to be deeply unsettling and profoundly unnerving giant creepy men with knives and guns that loom around active crime scenes and ask too many questions. they are cryptids they are ghosts they are monsters and yet they are human. and like you just put them in jeans and call it a day?

The funniest possible explanation is that Blurry Wife showed up one day and claimed Dean had knocked her up. Sam, who hasn't re-assessed his brother since 2006 is like yes of course. This makes sense because my brother is straight and hooks up with women a lot.

Meanwhile Dean has been celibate for like three years pining for Cas, but Sam doesn’t know that. Being the honorable man he is, he helps raise his nephew.

Sam shows up in Heaven and is like: Dean, I raised your son as if he was my own.

Dean is like: what are you talking about, dude. That lady baby trapped you.
