I know what I'm supposed to do.

I'm supposed to cry about racial injustice. I'm supposed to complain about the system failing us. I'm supposed to play the victim and convince people to feel bad for my people.

I know what I'm supposed to do, but that's just not how I was raised as an Asian living in America.

I was raised to be strong. I was raised to be tough. I was raised to instead of complaining about something, to do something about it. I was raised with the understanding that no one was going to do anything for me. If I wanted a better life for myself, then I would have to be the one responsible for that.

So instead of doing what I'm supposed to do, I'm going to do what I was raised to do as an Asian American.

I'm going to continue to dress proudly in traditional Asian clothing. I'm going to continue to support Asian owned businesses. I'm going to continue to let people know that no matter how much hatred you throw at me, how much you physically attack me, I will not bow down, I will not hide in fear, I will not give up, and I will ALWAYS treat EVERYONE with love, kindness, and compassion.

Guys, I just had the most BIZARRE experience I've ever had as a doctor.

So I was just at work treating patients as usual. Everything was going smoothly. Then, not at all out of the ordinary, I got a phone call from someone looking for a chiropractor. From that point on is when things started getting really weird.

For HIPAA purposes, let's just call this person John. John was extremely distraught. He was crying SO HARD that it almost sounded like he was howling. I knew something had to be SERIOUSLY wrong. I calmly asked him to please relax and to explain to me what was going on.

He said that it all started last night when he was just watching TV. Suddenly out of nowhere, he started slobbering all over himself, lost his ability to speak properly, and noticed he couldn't even stand up without falling over. Suspecting that he was having a stroke, he tried to get to the hospital ASAP. Unable to walk on 2 legs, he literally had to walk on all 4s to get to his car. On the way to his car, he suddenly lost control of his bladder and literally urinated on a bush in his front yard. John eventually got into his car and when he sat down, he noticed that the thing between his legs felt like it had grown 3x longer. Weird, I know.

He ended up needing someone else to drive him since he couldn't even drive. When he finally made it to the hospital, they took x-rays, said everything was fine, gave him an anti-inflammatory, and sent him home. Honestly, this happens all the time, which is why so many people end up calling me for help.

After listening to everything that was going on, I asked him to send me the x-rays to see if maybe they missed something at the hospital. Immediately after seeing the x-rays I knew what the problem was...

John was a dog. 🐶

This is my definition of winning. I have always and will always believe that it is 100% possible for all of us to win together. As long as you choose to work with and believe in each other, there's NO REASON for anyone to be left behind.

I am greatly looking forward to the next chapter in my life, creating new businesses, building new friendships, and continuing to help those who believe in me succeed together. 👊

This is one of my favorite photos! I favor it so much because it teaches us a very valuable life lesson:

Not everything is what it seems.

As a society, we are so quick to "cancel" things based on what we see on the surface. Restaurants, brands, toys, books, and unfortunately, even people. We judge things instantly by what we see at first without ever wanting to see anything otherwise. No extra effort is spent digging deeper, looking from different perspectives, or trying to understand alternate point of views. A lot of times this is truly a shame because we end up losing people and things before ever learning the truth or realizing their value.

At first glance, this photo looks like the silhouettes of camels in the desert, but take a closer look and you may see it differently... 🧐

Huge congrats to my boy, the young Dr. Brandon, for CLOSING ON HIS NEW HOUSE!!!

I never thought that anything would bring me more joy than helping patients, but it sure does feel good helping a new doctor, straight out of school, start crushing his goals! I knew from the moment I met Dr. Brandon that he was going to be successful. He is kind, out going, and most importantly, genuinely cares about healing patients.

The thing that has always disgusted about my profession, ultimately leading me to starting my own practice, was the fact that chiropractors are notorious for "eating their young." Chiropractors would just hire new grads, pay them garbage, give them no benefits, and work them to the bone while they go on vacation and make all of the profit. That's just goes against all of my morals. One of my main goals has always been to recruit, nurture, and cultivate new doctors to become even more successful than myself! 🙌

This is only the beginning. Stay tuned, Dr. Brandon is just the first of a long list of future rock stars! 👊

Who remembers 3 years ago when that gentleman stole a car, came to my office with a mask on (before it was cool), put a loaded gun to my head, stole my fanny pack, ran from the cops, crashed into a woman and daughter sending them both to the emergency room, ran from the cops again on foot, and is now currently awaiting trial in jail?! 🙋‍♀️

In case you don't recognize it, THIS IS THAT FANNY PACK! Almost 3 years later, my amazing friend and attorney, Heather Trick Ostroff, helped me to finally retrieve all of the items that were stolen from me! Thank you for all of your time, effort, and just being an overall high quality friend who I can truly trust. 🙌❤️

To this day, I still don't understand how someone could risk everything and injure innocent people to gain nothing. Even if he would have gotten away with it, he would have had nothing in the end.

If you EVER feel like you are in a situation where you have to resort to this, PLEASE REACH OUT TO ME. I PROMISE that I will find a way to help you. No one should ever feel so cornered that they would have to steal and/or injure innocent people. 🙏

Hi, I'm Dr. Chris and here are 5 fun facts about me!

1. I love food! One of my favorite activities is eating at a locally owned restaurant with good company! One day I plan on opening a restaurant of my own (I just have to learn how to cook first)! 🤤😋

2. I'm a chiropractor! So I got your back! I started my own practice over 4 years ago! If you are having pain, headaches, or have been in an accident, come in to see me! 🤗

3. I love animals! I grew up on a small farm with horses, goats, sheep, dogs, and even a llama and alpacas! My long term goal in life is to get a dog! 🥰🐴🦙🐶

4. I DON'T like alcohol! 🙅‍♀️ I have never been drunk or had a hangover in my entire life! I also don't like vegetables, sushi, bananas, people who drive slow in the fast lane, or mean people! 😤

5. Last but not least, I'm adopted! The biggest blessing of my entire life! I was born in South Korea and moved to the US when I was only 3 months old! I don't know much, but one thing I know for sure, is that my parents 100% choose to have me! 🥰❤️
