How to Predict Timing with Tarot
When performing the Celtic Cross, there are three positions that can reveal when the event will happen: The Advice, The Ultimate Outcome, and The Underworld. Acknowledge all these possibilities. But your intuition will tell you which is most likely.

The Wheel of Fortune â During your first or next Saturn Return
Justice â When you least expect it
The Hanged Man â When the circumstances change
Death â Whenever it is ready
Temperance â After the storm
The Devil â It is happening right now
The Tower â Soon, unexpectedly and suddenly

To Help You Remember:
Wands are days, because they are fire, and fire moves fast.
Swords are weeks, because while a sword is quick to cut, it first requires some thinking on the warriorâs part.
Cups are months, because they are water, and water flows with the moon, which completes a cycle in roughly a month.
Pentacles are seasons to years, because they are seeds, and some seeds only require a season to grow while others need a year.
The timings for the Major Arcana and the Pages are related to the cardsâ meanings. Once you know the meanings, you know the timings.
The Kings, Queens and Knights are the Zodiac signsâ birthdays:
King of Wands â Leo (Fixed Fire)
Queen of Wands â Aries (Cardinal Fire)
Knight of Wands â Sagittarius (Mutable Fire)
King of Cups â Scorpio (Fixed Water)
Queen of Cups â Cancer (Cardinal Water)
Knight of Cups â Pisces (Mutable Water)
King of Swords â Aquarius (Fixed Air)
Queen of Swords â Libra (Cardinal Air)
Knight of Swords â Gemini (Mutable Air)
King of Pentacles â Taurus (Fixed Earth)
Queen of Pentacles â Capricorn (Cardinal Earth)
Knight of Pentacles â Virgo (Mutable Earth)

Past life meditation
These set of meditations are for gathering past life memories and getting into your mindscape. For clarification mindscape= a deep part of your mind/ soulÂ
Base (falling into yourself)
Start off in a comfortable position; either laying down or sitting will do :)
Imagine a body of water. You donât have to clear your head of thoughts so donât panic if you canât focus, just let it all flow into this body of water.
Once your content with this water, float on itâs surface. Just chill there counting backwards from whatever number you want. As you count try thinking back farther and farther, perhaps you think about today, then last week, etc⌠Youâll start to sink at your own pace. Donât force this process.Â
After a bit, youâll eventually reach the bottom of your body of water. If the scenery changes donât worry this is natural and just means youâre in your mindscape congrats!Â
To view past life memories
Fall into yourself (base meditation)
Repeat step 3 of the base meditation, but instead of sinking imagine walking aimlessly. As you count down and think farther and farther, youâll be pulled to older places. Follow your instinct to the deepest part of your mindscape, this is your memory room.Â
With your now found memory room, explore and take note of what you see. How do your memories appear? Are they orbs? Books? Is there any sort of organization? Journal any visions you get while here passively.
Once youâre satisfied with exploration, state your intent out loud and clear. Perhaps you want a sad memory or a childhood memory from x life. Whatever it is, if you want it, now is the time to state it.
Memory rooms are very personal places so how this will play out is individualized. Most commonly there is a pull or the memory you seek stands out among the others. Go towards however it makes itself prominent.Â
Depending on the form memories take, you should just be able to hold it and peer in. There may or may not be a shift in perspective. As a warning especially dark memories may try to hold you, so be careful around those. Also, if a shift in perspective happens, donât be alarmed if you start to experience changes in mood reflective of how you were in the moment youâre viewing.Â
After you get finished viewing your memories (I recommend starting off with 2-3 per trip) start counting forwards and slowly start thinking about the present. Youâll eventually be brought back towards the beginning of your mindscape. Imagine a ladder or something of the same vein and climb back out and into your body. Congrats you can view some memories.
Tips:Â
play music relevant to the life you want to remember
diffuse (health permitting) some scents that you associate with home,, ex. I use a mix of 5 drops mint and thieves, and 10 drops lavenderÂ
donât stress too much seriously just chill in the momentÂ

Hey witchy friends and divination enthusiasts! Since I recently made a post on some tips for choosing a Tarot deck, I thought Iâd include a post about deck interviews too. If youâre unfamiliar with deck interviews or maybe youâve just never done one yourself, these are some tips that explain a little bit about the process. You can find plenty of deck interview spreads online or on Instagram, but please feel free to make up your own!
For me, my set up is usually as follows:
Card 1: Who are you? or What is your personality?
Card 2: What do I need to know about you?
Card 3: What are your strengths? (You can draw multiple cards for this).
Card 4: What are your weaknesses? (You can also do multiples for this one).
Card 5: Who am I to you? or What is my personality to you?
Card 6: What are you here to teach me/help me with/etc.?
Card 7: How can I best work with you?
Youâre welcome to use this if youâd like but itâs only one example! As always, do whatever feels best to you. You can make your deck interview as long or as short as you like or ask whatever questions you feel necessary.
Iâm always available to chat if you have questions and you can find me here or on Instagram @readingsbylily. â¨
