once in awhile, usually on the night of a full moon, ganondorf had begun to notice that his memories would become cloudy. only for a day or two, thankfully, did it last, but these episodes were always strange. why was it that his thoughts became murky, and his memory of events left in a thick fog? as a child, he would be dismissed as daydreaming--as an adult, he came to know these blackouts as questionable, a risk to his status as king.

so he kept them secret, and continued to be made victim of the beast lurking below dark waters waiting for its chance to surface.

"i am resilient in that way," ganondorf huffed with an air of pride--though, while the figure who spoke was physically ganondorf, the aura was different. wise and powerful as the gerudo king was, he was outmatched by the being who turned his golden eyes to gleaming magma, ever-shifting with demonic fire. they were similar enough, one could easily be mistaken--he, too, stood with a king's straight-backed pride, chin lifted so as to stare down upon the miniature goddess.

"much like your unguided vermin. countless millennia, and still so easy to bring to their knees. their goddess fails them."

SHE HAD RECOGNIZED HIS VOICE THE MOMENT HE HAD OPENED HIS MOUTH. pain flooded her mind as she was bombarded by countless of memories, both hers and her own. gritting her teeth, zelda could feel her consciousness starting to slip, white light beginning to overtake her vision as she held her ground before the red haired man.

HYLIA WAS DEAD, OR AS DEAD AS AN IMMORTAL GODDESS COULD BE, but that didn't mean her divinity had died and left her mortal self powerless. she was more than content letting her mortal self handle situations alone, to tap into her as much as necessary, but trauma was strange thing, and emotions getting too high can allow even the oldest of ghosts to resurface.

THE LAUGH THAT ESCAPED FROM HER LIPS ALMOST SEEMED LIKE IT ECHOED, her gaze never meeting ganon's as she straightened her posture, a soft light beginning to radiate off the young girl as the tips of her hair floated off her body, almost as if a gentle breeze was surrounding only her.

i know it has been said that there will be no dlc for totk

but im still holding out for a totk master mode, bcuz it is the only reason ill play again at this point

#i played botw to death and totk... not so much #idk if it is bcuz it didnt have as much new stuff to offer as botw #or simply bcuz it didnt hit expectations #but pls i need those golden monsters to feel Alive(TM) #and replaying botw is a struggle bcuz im SO spoiled by ascend

class officially finished this week and now that i officially have free time idk what to do with myself.

also i realize the totk hype has died (and honestly ever since i found out they werent gonna release dlc i stopped wanting to play bcuz i was just waiting for master mode whoops) but i MUST complain:

im still so sad they got rid of the routines of the (new) champions. i loved coming around at different times to see where they were, like riju out with patricia or sidon staring forlornly at mipha's statue.

it rly added such a nice element to their characters.

#i think this loss of detail rly shows how totk was a rushed project compared to botw #which is rly unfortunate #i was so hype to play but i would Not have minded waiting a few more years if it meant a higher quality release

watching oot playthroughs to cope w/ work and it reminded me:

did anyone else spend an incredible amount of rupees to ride the buckskin horse during the epona quest or was that just me as a kid

i desperately wanted all of the horsies and was so intensely disappointed i couldn't have them (lowkey still am tbh)

#i wish in botw/totk they had introduced the buckskin coloration from oot #+ ganondorf's horse n zelda's horse (with a proper white mane instead of pee yellow) #so i could have lived out this childhood dream but Alas we gotta have blue horse

also that he was on the side of good and totk was more like hyrule warriors.
