One of the first dragons, Ocean is massive beyond imagination, and not to be trifled with. She hates humans and what they have done to her kind, and so while boats still exist, travel over deep oceans is dangerous and rarely advised. She will not hesitate to sink a ship if it strikes her fancy.
Her drakes are much smaller, and much easier to take on, as plentiful as fish in the sea and as easy to catch. They are considered a delicacy in many areas. While Ocean avenges fallen dragons, she does not care about the killing of her drakes, viewing it as a part of the natural cycle of things.

River is a large but cautious dragon. He loves to play and sleep in rivers, but quickly flies away if alerted to another creatures' presence. He will always flee over fighting, but if cornered is a vicious opponent. While he has two tails, his drakes possess two heads. Though they act independently, it seems they are of one mind, and rarely if ever fight.
Hairs of both River and her drakes can be found in rivers, shed while playing. They are said to have magical properties, and are used by shamans to create talismans to heal and protect. Dragon hunters who kill river drakes often sell the hair to these shamans for immense sums.

Sandstorm is a massive and irritable dragon, living in the middle of the Dunumian/Betoran desert. She is rarely seen, not venturing far from her home (protected by a large, eternal sandstorm), but rather sends her drakes as scouts to tell her what is going on in the world. Sometimes it will not return, their sisters telling of its death, and she will send storms to ravage the site of the body. The bodies are always gone when the storm ends, and it is unknown if the rough sand destroys it, of if the winds carry it back to its mother. Regardless, while the human inhabitants of the desert do not hesitate her drakes if they get too close, they know to always bring them out of the city immediately.

A smaller dragon, good at slipping into cracks you would think too small for them. She is blind, having no eyes to speak of, but has highly acute hearing, heat receptors, and ability to sense changes in air pressure and currents. She seems to averse to these subtle changes, and moves away from them when they sense them. They live deep in a large cave system, and is often blamed for the disappearance of cave explorers, though this is not confirmed.
Their Drakes are often called "Cave-Flies" due to their bright, shiny ears which shape resembles insect wings, and are often the only part of them visible in the gloom of a cave. It is said if you see a Cave drake, you have delved too deep, and should return before their mother comes.

Formerly, the Tundra and the Taiga were two separate dragons, but when one was killed, the other took care of both domains. Knowledge has been lost on which was killed, and now the names are used interchangeably.

Snow is the smallest of all known dragon, barely larger than an average tarantula. It's drakes are even smaller, often mistaken for house spiders. They are killed in great numbers, but always seem to return in full force with the first snow of the season. Snow herself keeps hidden, but enjoys watching humans play in the snow, and sometimes plays with children who have not yet learned to be afraid of dragons. She lives as a dragon in winter, and hides as a human in the summer.

Rainforest is elusive, blending in well with the dense foliage of its home. Little is known about them, though their Drakes are often seen watching explorers travelling through their forests. Some attack with caustic balls of spit, while others watch passively, and this unpredictability leads to high caution when they show up. Both dragon and drake are immune to poisons. Rainforest is unique in that it is the only dragon who appears to be less intelligent and than their drakes, acting more like a dumb animal than an intelligent being.

Lightning is known to be flighty and temperamental. They are destructive, but not vindictive. Dragon hunters have been unable to catch them due to their immense speed and unpredictable movement patterns, however many of their drakes, who love messing with human tools and inventions, have been killed or captured. They are easy to find by their thunderous cries, made when excited or in self-defense. Some have explored uses for those drakes who are captured alive, and the electricity they give off, though this technology is rare and still developing.

The Icecap twins, who live at opposite ends of the world but still know each other and are always depicted together. They are rarely seen, due to their remote habitat, but explorers have reported their existence, both as terrifying beasts and benevolent aids who prevented their death.

Tide Pool is a small and playful dragon, splashing in pools and curiously investigating the creatures stuck in them. He will often approach humans and is quickly driven off. His drakes are seen more often, floating in tide pools. They do not seem to experience fear, nor do they mean harm, though they are toxic to touch and every child on the coast is taught not to go near them. Dragon hunters, often down on their luck and annoyed not to be hunting larger prey, comb the beaches clearing them for citizen's safety.

Rain or his drakes are seen often when it rains, but rarely come within range of humans. While many would hunt them if given the chance, it is said by the Beyanians that Rain is know and loved by the gods as a friend and messenger, as he often keeps to their north west corner of the world. It is said when he is seen flying out to sea, he is travelling to the realm of gods.

Cloud is a powerful but generally peaceful dragon with size-changing abilities. Many have claimed to see her prancing high above them on overcast days, and she is among the few dragons humans do not fear or hunt. Her Drakes are even considered good luck, bringing mild weather and playing with children. However, Cloud is very social with the other weather dragons, and if one of her drakes is harmed, she may call on their retribution to avenge her.

Desert is rarely seen, though her Drakes are a common sight in deserts around the world, especially in Dunumia. They are viscous hunters and incredibly fast, travelling in small packs, but generally avoid human settlements unless provoked.
