Personally, I think that would be cute! I’m going to put it out to a vote and see what people think, but as long as there’s not serious opposition, I’ll do it!
(For the dates, the Mother’s Day would be on May 12th, and Father’s Day on June 16th as though are the dates the majority of countries celebrate.)

Unfortunately, I am not going to accept her. I’ve seen the artwork of her wedding before, and although she and her spouse’s chairs are lifted, I don’t consider that to be enough proof that she is Jewish. Chair lifting at weddings has become a fairly widely practiced custom at this point, and I’ve seen many non-Jewish weddings participate in it. In this case particularly, the characteristics of the specific Jewish tradition aren’t there either (such as the couple holding a napkin between them or the participants dancing the horah). So with all this in mind (and when there are no other aspects of a Jewish wedding present, like a chuppah or breaking a glass), I don’t think she meets the canonicity standards for this blog based on her wedding.
As for the holiday art, I was only able to find one piece of official holiday art that involved Chanukah (though of course correct me if I’m wrong) and it was art on the Homestuck 2 Patreon. Although there is a lit menorah in the background, all the characters, including Rose, are standing some ways away from it. So while I would argue it’s an indication that one of the characters in the scene is Jewish, nothing particularly points to Rose being that person. (Also, the art appears to be fan made as well, so I don’t know if that may affect canonicity.)
If I’ve missed anything, totally let me know, but that’s my current ruling based on the information I found!

Unfortunately, I’m not going to post him (as much as I love The Last Unicorn). Even though there are quite a few Jewish references in both the book and the movie, Schmendrick isn’t really a Jewish character. Peter S. Beagle (who wrote the book and script for the 1982 movie) is Jewish and that comes through in his writing in a lot of ways. The name Schmendrick is more of an inside joke than anything, so I feel like he doesn’t qualify as a canonical Jewish character.
