a teneral male dubia cockroach (Blaptica dubia)

most cockroaches are white just after molting their exoskeleton & darken as they harden up!

finally aquired a bigger bin for the dubia roaches and a bigger tank for the lizard but i don't have the space to set everything up until other people move all their stuff out of my room 😔

i'm manually flipping these egg crates and switching them for fresh ones regularly until i get a bin big enough to sit the crates vertically and still fit as much carboard as they need 😭

the dermestes are difficult to get pictures of. started with only 10-15 larva in this bin, i now see that many just out eating at any one time so they're definitely breeding

moved the first gen of darklings from their store container into their new breeding bin (whole oats, cut oats, chicken pellet)

trying a single bin setup with them and not pupa sorting at first since i'm starting with low numbers and my climate is humid, if i don't get a lot of population growth i'll switch to a different setup
