Reflexive blog about the learning resources used to teach a foreign language.
1. Printed and Multimedia
The term CALL (Computer-Assisted Language Learning) encompasses a wealth of information, technological applications, and a wide variety of resources for teaching a second language. The CALL development over time has had great significance in technology and especially in education as it shows us successful learning. In the United States, CALL was considered as an instrument for the delivery of educational material to the student.(UNEMI, 2021)

“Computers have changed the world of classroom presentations forever” (Harmer, 2015, p. 186).
ADVANTAGES:
Motivation: The use of technology is very accessible, since mainly in the educational field the classes become more interesting and fun since students are promoted with many activities such as videos practicing vocabulary or making students include their family in A homework.
Adapted learning to the student: Technological resources influence class progress since little by little students adapt to using computers and doing activities through games, such as 10-year-old children can play EducaPlay so that as they see a video answer questions and thus improve their listening comprehension.
Authenticity: Authenticity in language learning means the opportunity to interact in one or more of the four skills.
Critical thinking skills: The use of technology in the classroom will improve self-concept and the mastery of basic skills, it is a learning based and learning where the active participation of students is key. (ELT WORLD WIKI, 2021)
DISADVANTAGES:
In these types of resources, sometimes there are not trained teachers to have a more dynamic class with technological resources.
There are programs that are not suitable to teach at certain ages or need to pay to have a better service of the resources, for example in the Busuu application they teach you many things to learn English but at one point they do not let you do grammar activities but you pay a fee PREMIUM then at that moment you already have blank spaces where you cannot have a successful learning.
There are students who are not prepared for a more advanced education, that is, with the use of computers or playing online games with their classmates. (Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka, 2008)

EXAMPLES OF TECHNOLOGICAL RESOURCES:
In education, various types of resources are used to teach a new language, such as:
1. Cambridge Dictionary to look up the meaning of words and pronunciation. In my case it has helped me a lot because it helps me improve my pronunciation and I inquire about some words that make me different.
2. CD-ROM, although now they are not widely used because technology has advanced in many books they are added to listen to listening or play games in class.
3. PADLET, is a very important resource because opinions of both the students and the teacher are shared on any subject. In my experience it has been of great help because I have been able to feed back my knowledge with the help of my classmates.
4. EDUCAPLAY, are very interactive games where students can have fun in an educational way.
5. QUIZLET, the letters are essential mainly for children to relate images to words for example a teacher can bring some very nice letters to attract the attention of students in order to pay attention and learn.
