India’s First Robotic Wedding | online robotics classes for kids

A wedding is a joyful affair that requires a lot of work to be done. And a lot of the work can keep parents and relatives busy with little chance to savor the moment for themselves. However, on 21st November, 2021, marriage ceremonies were changed forever! The marriage of our Chairman, Mr. Udhay was a great opportunity to show the world just how amazing an Indian Robotic Wedding can really be; and how easy it is to have one! Robots were welcoming guests, playing the music, keeping the children entertained, and so much more! We welcome you to take a good look at the amazing Robots we saw at the wedding and what they were doing!
The Welcoming Head Robots
Of course, no marriage would begin without someone taking the time to greet the guests. And that’s exactly where the head robots come in. Taking the role of welcoming those who attend the wedding, these robots are automated to an extent in order to ensure that they are able to greet newcomers without fail. The code and the sensors implemented in the two head robots (one male and one female) ensured that they could flawlessly greet the arriving guests with the ceremonial rose-water and sweets.
Otto was set to Auto in the wedding!
Otto is our in-house 3D Printed robot, and we use this model to help children learn how to program robots. However, for the Robotic Wedding, we had a completely different plan in mind. We transformed 11 of these delightful educational robots into intelligent distributors of information. People were able to see details like the time of the ceremony, the names of the bride and groom, customized greeting messages, and more! 
The Wedding music was Ottoly Ambient! 
The Ottoly model is much like our dear Otto, except that the Ottoly comes with more versatile movement options and a built-in speaker. We programmed five Ottolys to take over the musical responsibility and created a faux wedding orchestra. We were thrilled to see people enjoying the music while being intrigued about the dancing Ottoly robots that seemed to move with a spring in their step. 
The Ranger of the blessing
We also designed the Ranger Robot in-house from scratch, one whose primary purpose is to make sure all guests have the akshadam they need in order to bless at the right time. And how does this happen? The Ranger is specifically radio-controlled to ensure optimum efficiency and maintain tradition. The Ranger has shown us all the potential of what’s possible when we at DIYA put our minds together. The ranger was conceived and built in less than a span of a fortnight, and comes with all the perks associated with an advanced robot. 
The kids were playing robot soccer! 
Given that we prioritize children when it comes to our education, it is natural that we would do the same even during a wedding. We brought one of the world’s most popular games to life with remote-controlled cars and a soccer ball. With two cars on each side, four children found themselves engaged in an exciting game of soccer where each team tried to use their robot to win! Our only concern was that quite a few adults wanted to play too! (And that’s okay;)
Romancing the mechanical arm
The mechanical arm is an industrial robot designed to lift and move heavy loads on factory floors. However, for the wedding, we programmed it to do all sorts of things and even made the arm programmable by children. Of course, the main issue was making sure no one would try to pick someone else up with the mechanical arm! The main reason to have it was to show children what could be possible if they were to look into the realm of robotics. What we didn’t expect was for adults to want a closer look too!
Love comes in all shapes and sizes… so did our 3D Printed Keychains!
We set up a 3D Printer capable of printing almost any shape or lettering a child may desire. Of course, to make sure we didn’t spend too much time on certain complex 3D patterns, we primarily focused on printing alphabetical Keychains on demand. Children were amazed to see the 3D Printer make the keychain out of seemingly nothing! Imagine if they knew that they could make this themselves with just the right training. 
Love soars higher than a ROCKET!
We set up a demonstration of Indian-made Rockets and showed everyone present just how amazing it is to watch them fly into the sky. What’s so special about these rockets? Just like human creativity , the rockets are designed to fly as far as possible, and are carefully controlled by ignition sequences unlike what is used by fireworks and pyrotechnics. Each launch was precisely timed and was controlled by a central system.
The Robot’s Intelligence is Artificial, but the Marriage’s Romance is REAL!
Some children and adults would prefer to have a far better version of entertainment, and that’s something we delivered with some of our finest A.Is and the most stunning Animations our team can make. Online Vulnerabilities and Cybersecurity Workshops | Online coding classes for kids

Why do we need online coding classes for kids? Because that way they can augment their skill-set and become future-ready!
When it comes to tech awareness, key figures in the education industry like the teaching staff and the administration staff definitely need to be completely aware of how vulnerable the tech around them really is. Staff members of an educational institution need to be fully aware of how Cybersecurity works and how to enforce it. To this end, Dr. Valli, the CSE HOD of Anna University, requested a Short Term Training Program to ensure the staff could keep up and maintain the security of their own devices and help others around them to do the same. 
A Massive Undertaking
DIYA Robotics conducted a workshop that lasted 4 days, with 1.5 hours each day. This 6-hour group workshop had over 50 people joining on the first day. 
However, that number soon changed drastically. 
While the workshop was originally conducted to help the staff involved learn how to detect and counter certain types of hacking, a lot of students were also interested in the subject and asked to join the workshop. 
Of course, we were only too happy to say yes! It’s a great delight to see students taking an interest in learning new skills. The Anna University staff and management were only too happy to accommodate everyone who wished to join. 
Teaching New Skills, and Polishing Old Ones
We were able to teach everyone involved some amazing new things involving hacking through various means. Here is a little of what we taught them. 
Webcam Hacking: We had a representative hack a webcam while everyone was watching LIVE! Then we showed everyone present how such a hack can be stopped or prevented. 
Website Hacking: While many believed that a lot of websites are secure from online threats, the reality was that not even websites can be spared from the onslaught of hackers. We taught the staff members and the students about how websites can be hacked and what steps need to be taken to stop such an attack from happening. 
Google Hacking: While Webcam and Website Hacking often used 3rd party tools, it was quite a shock to some of the group when they realized that even google can be used to hack unprotected devices, websites, and data. While this is usually not as well-directed as other types of hacking, it certainly is an incredible and dangerous possibility. Protections against this were also advised. 
Ethical Hacking: The concept of moral hacking is to expose vulnerabilities and notify the affected parties about how their systems could be exploited. Ethical hacking is not done with the intention to cause damage or commit theft, fraud, or any other type of Cybercrime.  
Anything with software and an internet connection can be hacked
The point of the workshop was to educate the staff and all others present in Cybersecurity techniques. It was also to show the staff members that anything could be hacked, even mobile phones! While it wasn’t always possible to steal media files remotely, if the phone’s owner clicked an unprotected link, then they could be placing their device under someone else’s control without their knowledge. 
A demonstration of something like this was performed by Mr. Siva (Student Success Mentor - DIYA)

Ranger Robot! The future of assisted tasking! | Online robotics classes for kids

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to actually have a personal robotic assistant?
And I am not referring to AI assistants like Siri and Alexa. We’re talking about a full-grown ‘Eva’ from Wall-E!
Well, that is exactly what the team at DIYA was recently tasked to do. Develop an indigenous EVA, that too within just 14 days!
The "Ranger" robot - as we at DIYA named it - was conceived and built at DIYA's R&D labs. An initial prototype was developed and test-launched by integrating it with the other tech exhibits at the "Robo-Tech wedding" of our Founder last month!
The task assigned to the team was to make this "Ranger" Robot useful to humans in real-life situations and also have the capability to handle a lot of other potential applications. With a little help from the students pursuing our courses, the robot frame was fabricated using steel bars and fitted with e-bike motors.
At the wedding event, the "Ranger" Robot was assigned the job of passing around small containers of the "Holy Sacred" rice among the attendees. In doing so, the Ranger had to also maneuver and move around the tables, chairs, and guests spread across the hall.
Our RANGER Robot is fitted with a lithium-ion battery capable of providing an operation time of about 5-6 hours from a range of around 500 meters via Radio Frequency transmission. Taking inspiration from movie characters, the face has LED eyes to make it look very pleasing to the onlookers. The movement of the Robot in different directions happens via an asymmetric-thrust differential drive. Internal components like the motor control module, VESC algorithms, etc were all put together from scratch by our team of in-house experts. 
During the process of developing the RANGER using our students, we realized that there was quite a Skill-Gap between the existing School/ College curriculum and the prevalent Robotic Industry standards. To bridge this, our team at DIYA had an idea. Why not get the students on board this project and personally teach them how to assemble electronic circuitry instead of relying on the traditional theoretical approach. 
Sky's the limit when it comes to the uses of technological advancements and this holds very true in the case of the "RANGER" Robot. For example, during a pandemic-like situation such a robot, powered by AI neural algorithms, can be used in the healthcare sector and quarantine zones for distribution of medicines etc. But it doesn’t just stop there! The live use case scenarios for this kind of robotic technology can range from assisting people with physical disabilities to the industrial work of moving crates/ parts/ tools around the factory floor. The development of the RANGER Robot by DIYA is just a small step in that direction.
Besides, we are proud and happy that this whole process can possibly help our budding talents pave their way into robotic assisted-tasking. Hundreds Of Sewage Leaks Detected!! | Best online coding classes for kids

Scientists identified 926 "spill events" from two wastewater treatment plants over an 11-year period by employing machine learning. The UK Environment Agency said it was "impressed by the accuracy" of the approach. "We welcome any tool that prevents pollution," the agency said.
The researchers, who published their study in the journal Clean Water, trained a computer algorithm to recognize, through the pattern of flow through a treatment plant, when a spill was happening. 
Can you reduce water pollution through AI?
Clean Water AI uses a deep learning neural network to detect dangerous bacteria and harmful particles in water. Drinking water can be seen at a microscopic level with real-time detection.
Wastewater Treatment
AI can be used to reduce pollutants in the water which in turn decreases water contamination and scarcity of clean water. AI can be leveraged to detect the amount and composition of toxic contaminants since AI works on optics, which can increase the efficiency of waste management systems.
How can artificial intelligence help?
The research - led by Prof Peter Hammond, also from the UKCEH - used a pattern recognition algorithm originally developed for medical genetics.
"Previously, I was using machine learning to detect subtle differences in the shape of children's faces to help diagnose certain genetic conditions," he said.
"Instead of mapping the 3D shape of a face, here we have the shape of the flow through a wastewater treatment works."
While that may seem like a departure, the pattern recognition and machine learning approach works in the same way.
