how to lose belly fat

how to lose belly fat
How to lose belly fat
What is belly fat and why do I have it?
How to lose belly fat – think of belly fat as mother nature’s storage warehouse, what we dont need today is stored away nice and safe for tomorrow, but of course if we dont use it tomorrow we save a little more and before we know it our belly’s precede us everywhere we go.
Say what you like about the human body but one thing is a fact – it is built for efficiently so we take in more than we need and it makes us fat.
Having been a fat person myself for most of my life I am all to familiar with the word FAT and is use in stereotyping anyone who is fat as being lazy or uneducated.
While there is nothing to be done to change the stereotype in the short term I believe a grounded guide in how to lose belly fat will be helpful for anyone wanting to break out of the fat stereotype.
While this guide is about how to lose belly fat it will also help answer the most famous question mankind ( and womankind ) have ever asked and that is How to lose weight.
How to lose belly fat is about eating less fat right?
Wrong! in the last decade studies by scientists have discovered that carbohydrates are in fact the number one cause of excess weight in the western world, the phrase you are what you eat is no longer true.
The epidemic of weight gain in the UK has been pinpointed to the excess consumption of processed carbohydrates and lets face it whats cheaper to buy (and tastes better) a pack of biscuits or a salad?
So to the question on how to lose weight – the answer is to try a low carbohydrate diet.
What is a low carbohydrate diet?
A low carb diet has many wonderful benefits including management of type 2 diabetes and rapid weight loss but don’t think it is easy, for some people the first week and been like hell on earth but if you can get past that the rewards are just awesome.
Weight loss has been shown to be the highest over a sustained period.
You will need to cut out the rice, pasta and bread and replace these with green vegetables and good quality fatty meats and dairy.
The average amount of carbohydrates a day when starting a low carb diet will be in the range of 20-50 grams and that is not a lot.
Calorie counting is not required on a low carb diet.
How to lose belly fat if I dont count calories?
Ketosis is the key when you are thinking about how to lose weight, when you limit the amount of carbohydrates you take a day your body must find another source of fuel and burning fat is that source.
Many people have heard that is is not natural or safe but that is ignorance more than anything else, the human body is built to burn ketones.
A low carb diet with the daily intake of around 65% fat 30% protein and 5% carbs will keep your body in ketosis and start burning fat for fuel.
This works 2 ways, it takes your body 9 calories to convert one gram of fat into energy compared to 4 calories for protein and carbohydrates  so to get the same usable energy from fat means your body uses over twice the energy to make the conversion thus leading to rapid weight loss and this is how to lose belly fat quickly.
The second reason is water is bonded to carbohydrates and stored so more water is retained leading to more weight, if this carries on the bonded water and carbohydrates are then converted into fat and stored.
How do I follow this low carb diet?
The hardest part people have is changing the mindset that fat is the reason that you can’t lose weight and learning to embrace the fat.
replacing rice, bread and pasta with dairy products and meats and veg will take some getting used to and there are hundreds of low carb recipes to check out here.
have a look at our low carb diet infographic below for some basic low carb diet information which will help answer the question on how to lose weight.
