I’ll be honest I think the end of Lola’s storyline was absolutely fitting for her character and the history, it wouldn’t of felt right any other way. The way she found a last bit of strength and had her final words being to Billy, he was her strength for a long time and he deserved those final words. And as for Lexi, as heartbreaking as it is for a child her age it felt right her being the only person there as she passed. People have come and gone, been in and out but it’s always been them two from day one, Lola was there for Lexi from day one, it was so important for her to be with her until the end. I honestly have nothing but praise for the whole cast involved in this storyline, this is how you raise awareness and if Eastenders don’t sweep the awards this weekend, there’s something wrong💔🫶🏻

I’ve thought they’ve smashed Lola’s storyline from the beginning, even if bits of it didn’t make sense to me but these last few weeks of you can tell how much research and work with the charities have gone into this storyline 💔 Soaps don’t tend to show the reality of end of life care with these stories, but seeing how much their showing proves how much effort has gone into the research of this story. As someone who went through this last year I’ve got to praise them for the last few weeks, the most heartbreaking and real cancer storyline a soap has done in a very long time 💔 Besides the few bits of drama, Eastenders have smashed this storyline and if they don’t sweep the award shows there’s something wrong 🫶🏻❤️

Even though he should never have been there I’m so glad Matt’s third. And rn I don’t care who wins, because those two deserve it so much so either way the right person will win. First time in years where the final two are the right two 🤣

The last few years I literally do feel like I’m a celeb do not care about viewers opinions, the last few runners up should of won and now Matt’s in the final? Do you really think it’s believable he’s winning all these votes? He should never have been given a chance to be on this show after what he did. I swear I don’t even think I’ll watch next year it’s getting beyond a joke now

I think I’m a celeb need to change the rules and exempt someone from trials if they’ve done one the day before, because the same people getting voted every year is actually getting boring 🙃 I know Matt isn’t anybodys favourite person, but he literally does well in the trials and he doesn’t complain so what exactly are people getting out of keep voting for him? I’ll never understand how people who are disliked are always voted, you’re literally giving them a reason to keep showing you someone you claim to hate. I could never, if I disliked someone I’d want them to have as little screen time as possible 😅 at this point people literally get paid doing this show for doing absolutely nothing.

It’s actually wild how even just a day in the jungle they all end up grateful for a biscuit 🤣 you can actually imagine the room service bills and go back to the hotel can’t you. Probably their full pay check

It’s actually sad to see Hollyoaks doing a cancer storyline with a young character, and rather then praise them raising awareness for an illness that’s becoming more deadly for the younger generation people are literally accusing them of copying Eastenders because of Lola’s storyline.
Lola and Juliet are two very different characters. Lola literally has a young child who’s a massive part of her story, and will be a major factor in the decisions Lola makes going forward, especially with her dying she will literally have to face so many difficult decisions in regards to her daughter, and not just her death. Juliet isn’t a mother, but she’s part of a family who’ve had a year of problems and struggles and this will most likely bring them all a lot closer and make them all realise how short life truly is.
Lola’s storyline was only announced in June, and whenever a soap tackles a serious storyline like this it’s always a year in the making so they obviously wasn’t aware of what Eastenders was doing at the time the decision was made. Don’t drag a soap down for tackling something so serious, when all it will do is literally raise more awareness and that’s exactly what cancer needs - it needs to be talked about.
Lola is actually a prime example of why these stories need to be told more. Whenever you hear the word cancer or speak with a doctor, the main thing you’re always told to look out for is lumps - but that wasn’t a symptom Lola. She suffered headaches and dizzy spells, it was a seizure that put her in the position of getting tested and finding her tumour. She dismissed any symptom she had, when in reality cancer is always more then a lump.
Praise the fact there will be double awareness on screen, especially when Hollyoaks have a large audience of the younger generation more then other soaps do. Hollyoaks isn’t always the best soap, but they are good at raising awareness and their issue based storylines are always done brilliantly.

I know it can’t be easy being that high up for some people, but he’s seriously going to struggle in the jungle if he’s already quit the first trial. He’s going to get voted exactly like naughty boy did 🤨

If it’s true what was in the media about him not going through with this trial and shouting I’m a celebrity get me out of here, he is seriously not going to cope on the jungle and will probably be voted for most the trials along with Matt when he arrives 🤣
