I'm doing a new Stardew run since the release of 1.6 and decided to romance Sebastian this time around. Why did nobody tell me this man is so sweet? I know he's crazy popular in the fandom but it's also a running gag that he shows like zero affection but that's so inaccurate? He has the sweetest lines once you give him the bouquet? I've been missing out.

Just had a customer try to act a fool to me and I matched his energy and as someone who was raised a people pleaser I gotta say it feels great.

The mental image of Shepard going up to Wrex after all these years and being like "oh yeah I'm a parent now :) meet my krogan son, isn't he precious?"

And being the most annoying human alive about it. Each single interview afterwards has them hijack the conversation to talk about their son Grunt and how many kills he got last mission. They're so confident and passionate that no one in the whole galaxy dares to ask how did a human birth a krogan.

Anderson immediately summoned Shepard on an emergency to his office, demanding they explain what those interviews were about. But he doesn't care about the fact that Grunt is a krogan. He is just very mad at Shepard for not telling him he's a grandpa sooner. He demands time with his grandson and at least 200 pictures to hang around his office.

Imagine if this Shepard romanced Kaidan or Ashley before and after the break up on Horizon, they turn on a random TV channel to find out their ex, the commander Shepard, has a whole son now.

Ashley's mind is boogled, and she wonders if Grunt is related to her somehow because he definitely has her temper and speech.

Kaidan's heartbroken that you moved on so fast, and how come you didn't name your son after the agreed names you two came up with for your future children?

Meanwhile, Grunt who thinks this is just a human thing and tags along for the ride because funny humans and their weird lives.

Two years dead and everyone arounds you act as if it was your fault, as if you coming back to life disrupted their mourning.

And I get i, I get it. But to Shepard, it was only a few weeks. They were lost in space in anguish from the pain of choking as their lungs burned. The vacuum of space sucking whatever life left out of their beating heart as their final moment before their eyes closed.

Then they open them and find themselves on a medical bed. Two years passed in a blink, a second to them. Their body is the same, except for a few missing scars. Everything about them is the exact same as if they were plucked out of space during that moment and thrown two years ahead into the future.

But everyone else has changed, moved on. And no one wants to explain themselves, close friends treating them like strangers, news mentioning their name as one of the past legends, left to collect dust in the history books and memorials.

Like crashing their own funeral just when everyone else was done crying, and people feel upset at you for somehow beating the odds and surviving. Then it's Immediately back to duty, you don't even get to announce the fact you're alive again publicly. It gets spread in rumours and witness accounts.

And no one acknowledge how lonely it must have been to die surrounded by friends, knowing at least you died for them to survive. Only to wake up alone and remain alone, for everyone you've known died, or changed beyond recognition.

I just quit my job! 🥳

It honestly feels like a weight has been lifted. This entire company was a shit show. In addition to fucking up my pay repeatedly, they also contacted me constantly while I was off the clock (an act made worse by the fact that I worked graveyard so they repeatedly interrupted my sleep), scheduled me for eight hour turnaround times between shifts, never answered my calls when I needed support.

The last straw was this morning when I went back after two days off. HR sent me an email yesterday (on my day off) telling me they still needed my benefits package despite me having submitted it at my orientation. Idk what happened to it but they apparently didn't have it.

They sent me the original email at 11:45 AM on Thursday saying they needed the paperwork ASAP. Again, I was off Thursday and, therefore, not there to read the email.

They sent another email at 6:00 PM Thursday marked urgent telling me I had to have the packet in by noon Friday "no exceptions." They also CC'ed all my supervisors in this email. The tone very much made it sound like I'd been neglecting to submit the paperwork despite me having submitted it and Thursday at 11:45 being the first time they notified me that they needed anything from me.

I was already on the verge of quitting but HR losing my paperwork and then trying to frame it like I was in the wrong to my supervisors just sealed it for me.

My old job has already said I can go back there. It's part time, but better than nothing, and enough to get me through until I either find a second part time job or a full time job.

The shit employers try to pull blows my mind sometimes.

I've been offered a position at my old job again and I think I'm gonna take it. Less pay (lower hourly rate and part time versus full) but at least I'd get paid on time and the work is easy and predictable 🤷

My new job sucks for so many reasons but the most pressing right now is they've fucked up two out of the three checks I've received since I started.

What's the point in working if I'm not being paid properly? That's kind of the whole thing. Makes me want to just not go back but I've got bills 🙃 then again, how can I pay them when I'm not being paid properly?

In more detail, they haven't been giving me my shift differential (I work graveyard) but this last check they also fucked up by entering my pay wrong. They entered the wage modifier where the hourly rate should've been.

So, for example, my regular hours were paid at 1x my regular rate. They entered it as me being paid $1 an hour. My OT was at 1.5x my regular rate. They entered it as me being paid $1.50 an hour.

I had 91.5 hours on this check. It should've been over $1900 gross. It was less than $400. I immediately emailed HR and she said she's working on it but I have bills due and I shouldn't have to chase down my appropriate pay.

I'm so frustrated and disappointed.
