⭑ Substitute Teachers ❜

ᵖ﹕→ ONE.

Some senior students had agreed to a program to teach students who are still lea rning about this world. To give them tips, and advice, and substitute as their teacher for the day.

You, Alex, and some other students have accepted this opportunity. You love to teach children because you have the patience, hence you're a professional at this. While, Alex has the complete opposite reason, his reason being that he only accepted this for the extra grade he will gain.

With his formal suit on, he gained his courage and headed straight to the office where he will get his directions.

Alex held a straight face as he held his shoulder bag with a strong grip, only smiling at the people he familiarized.

"HUY! KUYA! ANG POGI NIYO PO!" You're so handsome! All the grade students yelled as Alex walked out of his car and headed towards his class.

"MGA BATA! BUMALIK NA KAYO SA CLASSROOM NIYO!" The guard yelled making everyone scatter around and leave the school grounds.

While you got easily lost, fascinated by the school. Which was rumored to have underground buildings and other essentials in a community. It made you wake up from your bed feeling curious and excited.

With your borrowed formal clothes you made your way over to the office where you will get your directions with the help of a guard.

As the two of you walked to the office, you both faced each other.

You looked up from your shoes and saw the man in front of you, just outside the door of the entrance that led to the office.

"Hi." You quietly greeted him first, he just glared at you and faced away from you to look at the door.

Before you could even respond to his demeanor a staff called the two of you to come inside with a smile to seem friendly.

He entered first not even opening the door for you, How rude. Was your FIRST impression of him.

"Okay, parehas kayong late." Okay, you're both late. The staff said with a strong expression that says it all.

"So, what are we going to do now?" He asked. You didn't expect his voice to be soft and sound a bit younger but, moving on.

"May isa nalang room sa building six, meaning parehas niyong tuturuan mga bata doon, mga ilang oras lang." There's only one room left in the sixth building, meaning the both of you have to partner up for now to teach the children, only for a few hours.

"Here's a paper that will inform you about your surroundings and the class." She gave the two of you a paper and you immediately observed the information of the children.

"Grade 3 sila? Akala ko po grade 6 ang tuturuan ko?" They're 3rd graders? I thought I was going to teach 6th graders? You saw their names and couldn't resist judging their names, like come on! Who the fuck names their child Calvin Klein? An underwear brand?

"Ehem! Miss? Are you listening?" She waved her hand in front of you making you snap out and look back up at her.

"Like what I said, there's only one room left!" She firmly said, her annoyance obviously radiating off of her voice.

"Okay po. What time are we going to go there?" He looked up from his clipboard and seeked for her answer.

"In about 40 minutes. Quickly get to know each other, it seems like to you are both strangers." She shooed the two of you and pointed at the door.

"Uhm, alright." You awkwardly held onto the clipboard that came with the paper.

You didn't know where to go so you just followed him around making him a bit annoyed, since he just wanted this day to be over already.

"Are you good?" You gave him a smile, assuring him that he could talk to you.

"Yeah." He responded dryly, "Well, alright, I heard the cafeteria in this school is pretty large and has good food, would you like to come?" You offered him to come with you.

"Err.. 'wag na, mamaya nalang, may 12 minutes nalang tayo before we go to the children's room." Err.. we can't, maybe later, since we only have 12 minutes before entering the children's room. He differed.

"Oh, come on! Mabilis lang naman." It will be quick! You insisted, standing up to see if he would come along.

"Seriously, no. Bahala ka nalang diyan, if you get late." He picked up his stuff and headed to the 6th building.

Oh, he's pretty bossy. You grabbed your stuff and followed him to the building.

You both entered the room and was greeted by the children in the class. "Hello!" You waved at them with your charisma.

"Goodmorning po!" They all said in unison while standing up, some with their cheeky smile.

"I'm Ate Y/N! You don't have to call me Teacher Y/N pero, it's fine if you want to." You noted to them.

"And this is-" He cut you off, "Goodmorning, I'm Kuya Alex, and is there someone who's willing to introduce themselves in front of the class?" They stayed silent not wanting to do it.

That's too straight forward, baka nahihiya yung mga bata. You thought for a moment, "Or! Let's play a little game!" They agreed and waited for you to respond,

"I want everyone to stand up." They all stood up, surprising Alex a bit, "Okay po, very good. Partner yourselves into TWO or more!" They all rushed to their very best friends and held the other.

"Okay, sige. So with your group pwede po ba kayong mag-stay sa isang table so that we can start the introduction?" Alright. So, with your group, can we stay around one table so that we can start our introduction? They nodded and laughed in excitement.

"Here's a twist! We are not going to introduce ourselves but! Introduce the other person in your group! Like this, This is Alex po, he's my best friend he can be a bit bossy at times but he's a great friend!" They gasped and excitedly nodded.

"So, who wants to go first!?" Most of them raised their hand and you picked the one that caught your eye first. As they all introduced their friend one by one, Alex observed the whole thing happen, simply shocked by your teaching style.

"All of you are very good students! But! I'll give a piece of chocolate to the one who will answer my question!" You caught their attention automatically and students prepared to raise their hand to participate even if they get it wrong.

"Oh sige, how do we put an elephant in a fridge?" You saw a lot of the same hands so you decided to choose one who hasn't been raising her hand at all.

"You! How do we put an elephant in a fridge?" She hesitantly stood up, the other kids looking at her for her answer.

"Kakatayin po!" We slaughter it! She confidently answered, making you, Alex, and the other kids laugh at her answer.

"AY! Nice try, Reb, maybe that was a unique answer but the real answer is-".

"So, does anybody have a question?" Alex looked at each one of them with a friendly smile.

"Me!" One child raised his hand, "Okay, go ahead." He crossed his arms. "Mag-jowa po ba kayo ni Ate Y/N?" Are you and Y/N together? He asked shocking the two of you while the whole class cheered on with an "Ayie!"

"Okay, thank you for your question, Jak. But, me and Ate Y/N are friends!" The disappointed look they had after his answer made you laugh.

"Any other questions?" "Ako po!" "Okay, Roberto go." "May jowa na po ba kayo?" Do you have a boyfriend or girlfriend? What is it with these ridiculous questions, Alex thought. "Wala pa po, I'm quite busy with my studies." You answered.

Another disappointed look but someone raised their hand again, "May crush ka po?" Do you have a crush? Nanaman? "Okay, the next person who asks about my love life will gain a deduction on the next seatwork." Finally, they stopped.

The class hour ended meaning you and Alex had to say your goodbye's and see if you both can come back tomorrow...

VERSION ONE (shy type?)

It definitely took you almost a year for him to, say yes to you or realize his feelings for you because he is hotheaded and unbothered with romance.

After he said yes, he might have ghosted you for 2 days because he was so shy and didn't know what else to do so you came over to his house to hangout and so he can warm up to you.

Then after warming up to you he showed you a side of him you never saw,

He would be the one to take you on dates by surprise,

he would give you roses, bouquets, pretty jewelry that doesn't have to be expensive, chocolate, etc as a gift.

When he fully warmed up to you he became more comfortable with doing things he never really thought would happen to him.

Constantly checks up on you and asks what your doing.

SHOWERS YOU WITH COMPLIMENTS!!!! even if you look like a rat from new york that fell in a sewage, he would call you pretty and loves to hug you!!

Nicknames would definitely be considered in the relationship, you would call him nicknames out of the ordinary.

If you guys had a fight he would give you space but reminds you that he's still there and won't leave you. He would apologize with gifts and affection.

After you guys fought and made up, the clingy side of him would spawn and not leave for months until he knows that you and him are okay.

VERSION TWO (ewan type)

He was the one who courted you and it didn't take too long for you to say yes because he was constantly next to you and you already had feelings for him before.

After you said yes, he immediately warmed up to you but was still shy doing things with you, you and him decided to take things at a slow pace and not rush everything as there's still time.

The first date you and him had was somewhere expensive because he felt extraordinary, but the next dates that occurred were not too expensive because you told him that he doesn't have to tale you on these expensive dates every month, so every week he takes you on road trips whether it's from one city to another city vice versa. He definitely likes taking you to Baguio city or any city that's either cold or hot. Give him a weather, he's taking you there.

Emotionally smart and Street smart fr.

Sings for you!!! Or makes songs for you, the very first song he sang to you was a Daniel padilla song because he found out that you were a fan.

He loves hugging you and calling you his girlfriend, also loves complimenting you because he's great with his words. Treats you like a princess!!!

Nicknames are a must for him, "love". "pretty". "babe" any nicknames that are considered cheesy by single people

Very responsible and mature, so if you're being irresponsible and acting not so mature in a serious situation he would snap you out of it and act non-chalant.

Very seloso! (jealous) sometimes overprotective over you, like if you were talking to someone he doesn't know, his eyes would be focused on you and the person, he would observe everything the person is doing and would try to scan their personality based on their movements.

He's scary but gentle, honest, caring, loving, basta alam niyo na.

minsan di mo na alam kung pogi typings ba 'to or wala talagang pake.

If you guys had a fight he might ghost you for 4d-2w laging nagtatampo siguro, parang aso namin. But he would apologize with words while hugging you, he would gift you something as an apology.

After making up, he vows to not fight with you again because he didn't like that and he would be clingy and takes you on roadtrips.

Use of Quackity's real name.

Your last period was finally dismissed after 9 hours of staying inside of the building. AND IT WAS FINALLY FRIDAY meaning you were free.

traditionally, you were walking with your friend outside of the school ground—looking for something to eat, that was before Alex came up to you.

the guy who constantly annoyed and motivated you to go to school every day.

He surprised you from behind by tickling you on both sides of your torso then covering both of your eyes.

"KUNG SINO MAN 'TO, SANA MADALA KA SA IMPYERNO." You jokingly said turning around to see him holding your favorite street food,

"Sasama kita sa impyerno. Oh fishball, eyyy." He had a cheeky smile on his face, you smiled at him and lightly punched him on his shoulder,

"Kunin mo na teh, uuwi na rin ako eh, may report pa kami bukas, uyyyy!" Your friend said pushing you to Alex—almost making you stumble upon him.

"Hindi ba Friday ngayon?" You gave her a quick hug, "Oo pero- bilis na, yung bebe mo nasa harap lang natin." She pointed at the boy talking to his mate, she gave you one final mischievous smile and left before you could even say a word.

With no choice, you sneaked up on him while he was talking to one of his friends. he felt a little movement behind him and jumped when he saw you, making you laugh "Is there something on my face ba?" You asked, grabbing the stick from his hand. "Wala naman." He shrugged and walked beside you.

"Saan ka pupunta? Sabay na tayo." Where are you going? Let's go together. He gave you the plastic cup full of fishball.

"Sa bookstore may need akong bilhin eh. Si mama mo? Hindi ka ba hahanapin?" To the bookstore, I just need to buy something. How about your mom? Won't she ask where you've been?

"Ehh, text ko nalang siya, kasama naman kita eh. gusto mo ba mag starbucks?" I'll just text her, I'm with you anyway, she'll allow me. do you want starbucks? He suddenly asked out of the blue while he texted his mom.

"Ha!? Bakit?" Why? You stopped him from walking,

"Ayaw mo?" do you not want to? "Gust- pero ako magbabayad ha." I want t- but I'm paying, ha. You insisted but he just shrugged and continued walking.

"Ayun oh, may jeep na, tara na!" The jeep is there, let's go! He quickly threw away the cup he held and dragged you to the jeep while he held his hat to not drop it.

"Ano ba yang hat mo, trip mo ba?" Why do you have a hat on? Is it a bit? You looked at him while you waited to get in the jeep, he looked back at you and realized he was holding your hand.

"Basta may purpose beanie ko, malay mo kalbo ako, malay mo nalalagas na buhok ko." There's a purpose of why I have a hat on, you'd never know if I'm bald, you'd never know if my hair is falling out. You both sat on the left side of the jeep and you grabbed your wallet from your pocket to pay but he got ahead of you first and paid.

"Kalbo ka?" Are you bald? You whispered to him laughing quietly as the jeep got crowded.

"Malay mo." You never know You pinched his shoulder making him yelp, "Anong malay ko? Sagot na kasi!" What do you mean 'You never know' just answer already!

After the jeep drive to the bookstore, he walked you to the nearby starbucks and ordered for you.

It seems that this will be a tradition from now on between the two of you. Aside from him constantly taking you to McDonald's or Jollibee everytime he could.

While you looked from across the street, you thought of something.

You were asking yourself if Alex liked you or that he just did this to as a friendly thing. You are sure that you liked him but does he like you back?

Who knew. Maybe not you. Alex has liked you since junior high school. He was too afraid to admit. he'd been longing to talk to you and confess his admiration for you.

He just couldn't find a way to tell you and so his mom recommended to take you on small little friendly dates and maybe that could give you an idea.

A lot of people already noticed, by how the two of you bonded, it was suspicious but not in that way if you know what I mean. What I mean is, you were both close, you both looked at each other in a way that screamed "KULANG NALANG KAYO NG LABEL" or in English, "You both just lacked a label." It was already obvious to everyone INCLUDING both of your parents and siblings.

So, now. What was your status with him?

That was the question that lingered within you for the next 5 minutes before Alex came back with the drinks.

You smiled at him and he sat down in front of you. "Are you okay?" He asked, trying his best to read your face.

"Yep, uhm. Alex, may gusto lang akong itanong." I just wanna ask something You cleared your throat and he listened to you with full attention.

"Ano 'to?" What is this?

"Ano?" What?

"Yung ginagawa mo." What you're doing.

"Ha?" He started acting oblivious

"You take me out almost every week, walk me back home from school, and you held my hand earlier, you were blushing. may gusto ka bang sabihin sakin?" is there something you want to tell me? You gave him a chance to talk, but he was left speechless for the next three minutes before you let out a cough.

"Gusto mo ba ako?" Do you like me? You directly asked him with no warnings—leaving him shocked by your question.

He opened his mouth to say something but he felt so nervous. "I just need a yes or no." Your question and tone intimated him making him stutter.

"Y-yes. I do, I've always liked you since grade 7. I didn't know how t-" You held his hands and kissed him on the cheek.

"how to s- it." He looked at you, surprised from you action.

"Alex, calm down. Gusto rin kita." I like you too.

You both stayed holding each other's hand, admiring one and another before snapping out and realized how late it was,

"Bukas naman?" Tomorrow again? "Sige." Sure

"Sabay na tayo pauwi." let's go home together.

The rest of the ride back home was a little too quiet. I mean, you just both admitted to liking each other, then said nothing. does this mean you're both official?

Soon, he walked you back to your home to find your mom waiting in the living room couch.

"Si Alex yun? Ano meron?" You dropped of your belongings in your room then came back to the living room to spill the tea to your mom.

You'd make him watch all the kathniel movies/shows with you.

He would definitely be tricked into saying cuss words in tagalog. You'd be saying

"Tangina mo means you're so pretty or handsome" "Ang bobo mo talaga means you're so smart"

If you guys went to the Philippines to meet your family,

He'd be so nice and polite to your parents your parents would be impressed by him, you mentioned that he was majoring in law and had a career outside which made them interrogate him a lot but he answered super professionally.

He'd accidentally call your sibling if u have one the words you taught him thinking he complimented them but then found out he called them a bad word.

Which made him confront you and vent to you how guilty he felt but your sibling dismissed it understanding he didn't know and that it was your fault but you being you, you jokingly said "Hindi ko naman kasalanan na bobo jowa ko, sorry teh." and that made your parents laugh lightly while Alex just stood there awkwardly, only knowing the word jowa so he knows that he was mentioned.

Afterwards he Google translated what you said and realized that you were calling him "stupid boyfriend"

And so after having dinner with your family, you guys went back to your hotel and he confronted you again about you calling him stupid boyfriend while you laughed your ass off on the bed continuously calling him names in tagalog.

Which made his sarcastic attitude rise up. So, after you headed to the bathroom to shower you realized you forgot your towel so you called him but there was no answer, you opened the door of the bathroom to find Alex on bed on his phone comfortably hugging a pillow with the comforter hugging his body.

You called his name but he didn't answer and slightly turned away from you, "Hoy! ALEX!!" You yelled, then you saw him roll his eyes.

"Ganyan pala ha"

You closed the door of the bathroom and stayed there for 3 hours until Alex realized how long you've been gone.

He started knocking on the door asking why you've stayed there for hours.

You purposely ignored him and continued scrolling in twitter, and started live tweeting,

"I saw your tweet, can you come out now!??" he sat down and leaned on the door waiting for you to open it.

You kept quiet before opening the door, making him fall onto the floor.

"What the fuck" 😭
