bambi couldn't sit around waiting for life to be kind to them any longer. all she'd known her whole entire life was the feeling of wanting things that were just out of her reach and she just couldn't take it anymore. she'd been a good girl her whole life hoping that would be enough to get her somewhere one day. it didn't. here she was still in the same place she'd been born at the age of twenty-four. the only good thing she'd ever had of her own was them and she wanted the good life for them too. "what if we robbed a bank?" her sweet accent made even the sourest of words sound kind of nice. her eyes shone with nervousness and even a bit of hope as she awaited their reaction to her seemingly out of the blue question.

she had been full of shit when she said she'd forgotten how they begun, she wouldn't be able to erase those memories from her brain even if she wanted to. with her bullshitting or not, she got her way as tatum got even closer to her and began to lightly brush her fingers against rory's delicate skin. she swore goosebumps littered her skin from tatum's touch alone. she'd never had that reaction when a boy touched her skin, but maybe that's just because they couldn't possibly be as gentle as tatum could. surprise washed over her body as the red-head finally closed the distance and kissed her more passionately than rory had been prepared for causing a moan to unwillingly slip from her mouth. she felt her cheeks warm and she was sure they were pink but all she was focused on was kissing tatum back. rory kissed back like they'd never get to do this again, like there was some timer above her head and she'd have to act now or never. one of rory's arms snaked around tatum's body pulling her closer to deepen the kiss further. their bodies pressed together only made rory want more from her best friend. if her panties had been wet before then it was very safe to say that they were drenched now.

The excuse was weak, and the redhead didn’t hesitate when it came to pointing it out. “You are so full of shit,” Tatum accused without any real heat behind her attack. She liked that Rory had the nerve to lie through her teeth, because there was no way she would have forgotten. Nevertheless, she indulged the blonde, moving closer until she was on the edge of the bed, right in front of the other. “Normally we’d begin like this—touching each other, learning.” Slowly, almost as if trying not to break a secret bubble and scare her best friend away, she raised a hand to caress her skin as if it were the first time she had discovered how soft it was. Fingertips moved up the delicate line of her neck, right where she knew she’d be sucking pretty marks in a few minutes, and then she cupped her face delicately. “And then we’d do this...” Leaning in, she pressed her lips against the blonde’s, her hunger betraying her almost immediately and driving her to lick into the seam of her mouth even when she’d promised herself to stretch out the moment.

what ben had said was true, it did seem like they wanted two different things. "yeah, i wanted to be in a relationship with you and you wanted to do whatever this is." he grumbled motioning between the two of them. they had been stupid to think this was ever going to turn out differently. "thanks for wasting my time." he didn't mean that, their time together hadn't been a waste of time in his mind, but it's what he'd tell himself to keep from crying in front of the other.

ben scowls at the others questioning. the way it seems to be all his fault. maybe it is. ben's been guilty before. "i don't think we want the same thing." he insists. that or ben's just constantly worried that ezra's going to leave him first. being with ben isn't ever easy. the way they have to hide, the media, his schedule. who would want that? "it feels like i'm just saying it out loud."

lev had given her no specific reason to come to this conclusion, she'd done it all on her own. she hadn't expected him to come comfort her with a hug in response to her question but she naturally relaxed into his familiar arms. she sniffled softly, not even able to muster up a pity laugh for him. her mind had become tormented with more and more thoughts seeped with self doubt lately and it was beginning to infiltrate everything in her life. "because you deserve to be with someone as talented as you are. you need to be with someone who makes you look good having them stand by your side; not me. i'm a washed up child star who's on the verge of being forgotten entirely. you should be embarrassed to be seen with me." she worried he'd hear her say all of this and actually agree with it all.

"of  course  not."  lev  shakes  his  head,  dismissing  her  question  with  a  wave  of  his  hand.  "why  would  you  think  that?"  soon,  he  makes  his  way  to  the  other  end  of  the  dining  table  and  gently  tugs  her  into  a  hug.  "and  this,  my  love,  is  why  you  shouldn't  be  drinking  without  me."  not  being  particularly  skilled  at  comforting  people,  he  manages  to  crack  a  joke  in  an  attempt  to  lighten  the  mood.  he  tucks  a  strand  of  hair  behind  her  ear,  then  wipes  away  her  tears  with  the  pad  of  his  thumb.  despite  the  diverging  paths  their  careers  have  taken  over  the  years,  he  can  empathise  with  her  struggles.  growing  up  in  the  limelight,  never  allowed  to  forge  their  own  path,  always  feeling  like  a  marionette  controlled  by  a  thousand  strings  instead  of  their  own  person.

rory felt a healthy amount of suspicion about him actually not spreading rumors about who she was seen with, but he seemed genuine in her opinion. to be fair, he had always been good at convincing her of one thing or another despite her best efforts to be firm with him and shoot him down. "we need to get this like written out on paper because i swear to god if i go to this wedding with you and pretend to still be your little girlfriend-" she said that like it was the absolute worst thing she could be. "-and then i hear you're still talking about whoever i'm with, i might actually go crazy on you." she threatened as if it wasn't more than a classic rory bitch fit which he'd experienced many times during their relationship.
