MADDIE TOOK ANOTHER sip of the vodka tonic as the stranger walked towards the bar’s exit. Being hit on wasn’t anything new. If Jason hadn’t been there, she would’ve just brushed it off like she usually did. “He was just drunk.” She gently placed a hand on top of Jason’s. “Cutting off his hand was a very chivalrous gesture. Little over the top — but chivalrous.”
