I really like the word “smitten”. because at first glance you just think of sappy lovey-dovey stuff but also you have to remember this is a word that’s born of the word “smite.” a devastating word. a word that, summarized, means stricken. smitten means stricken as well — struck with devastating affection.

Lmao just a silly but generational gaps have so much comedic potential!!
specially bc Achilles is gen z (22) and Crocodile is gen x (46) and Achilles uses lots of slang on a daily basis and Crocodile is this 🤏 close to bursting a vein "Speak properly."
Catch this old man trying to decipher "cringe" "redpilled" "L" "W" "mid" "deadass" "based" and others like it's poneglyphs

What good are your happy ideals if you can’t do anything to make them a reality? They’re nothing but dreams, and your dreams don’t stand a chance

if your f/o is from a comic or manga, this is your signal to edit a panel of them speaking so that they say something like "i love you, (s/i)" or "i like you, (s/i)"

Achilles knows a thing or two about sea creatures, of all kinds – his father was a marine biologist and a fisher, and he held into all of his father's info dumpings as a way to honor his passing.
That being said, Achilles knows a thing or two about Bananawanis. He spends a lot of time hanging around Crocodile's office, and strangely enough, he built a bound with the deadly reptiles.
Achilles knows that out of the 12 wanis, nine are male, and three are female. He caught onto their anatomy (females are smaller, slimmer, and narrow snouted) and social differences quite quickly.
Crocodile has a greater affinity with the females. The males are aggressive and territorial, deadly, proper for his schemes. The females are more amicable, depending on the circumstances, even docile.
The bigger one, Hathor. The little one, Nephthys. And the one who seemed to like Achilles the most, Isis. As Crocodile introduced later into their relationship, his girls.
Crocodile liked the fact that Achilles had knowledge about his companions. Intelligence is very attractive – his gaze softened ever so slightly as Isis nuzzled her snout into Achilles' hand through the glass, so unnoticeable it felt like it didn't happen.
But it did, and Crocodile quietly exhaled through his nose in irritation.
They weren't supposed to do that. They aren't trained for that. It's an inconvenience to have his killing machines submitting and behaving like oversized puppies to anyone other than him – to someone they've barely interacted with. Crocodile couldn't bring himself to be too mad about it, though.
He gets all soft because of this brat, embarrassing...

hello, nina !! if you write for him, may i please ask for some writing of reader getting crocodile flowers? preferably gn or masc reader, if you please !! thanks !!!!! 🧡🧡🧡
A/N: AAAA THIS WAS SO CUTE AND FUN TO WRITE THANK YOU FOR REQUESTING IT!!! Pairing: Crocodile x reader CW: None just pure fluff
A bouquet of delicate flowers sat on the desk in his study. No one in their right mind dared to touch the flowers for fear of a hook right through their throats. A lesson held in memory after one poor soul learned it the hard way.
Crocodile recalls the first time you gave him flowers. The sight of your hand extending, cradling the bouquet, and the most perfect smile that graced your lips. If only he could capture that moment and frame it. Oh, and you’ve caught him quite off guard as you watch his otherwise neutral expression be disrupted by raised eyebrows, a subtle parting of lips, and an uncharacteristic silence.
Breaking the silence, he uttered a simple, "Flowers?" You nodded, gently offering the bouquet. You watched as he brought his hook towards you, and the feeling of cold metal wrapped around your fist. A delicate tug brought you closer, flowers in tow. As he accepted them, he inhaled their scent before setting them aside. His hand then found its way around your waist, pulling you onto his lap.
"What's the occasion?" he questioned.
"Is loving you an occasion?" you countered, your voice filled with affection.
"I suppose so," he responded, glancing at the flowers. His gaze returned to you, and he continued, "You shouldn't have done this." Confusion flickered across your features, prompting him to bring his hook to your face, gently tracing your jawline as he continued, "Because when these die, I'll be counting down the days until you present me with more." A subtle squeeze on your hip emphasized his point. "So don't disappoint. Loving me is an everyday occasion, is it not?"
Since that moment, you've always given flowers. Not a passing moment goes by without the gorgeous and delicate flowers sitting right on his desk. The flowers have become a symbol of your love and affection for him.
One day, you step into a room to discover a carefully arranged bouquet with a card that had your name etched onto it. Surprise filled you, and as you flipped the card, all the contents said was: "For loving you."

Crocodile is a meanie, and it's no wonder his love language is bullying.
Not malicious stuff, no – don't misunderstand him, it's his way to show affection.
He likes slip his hand under Achilles' collar when the other is with his back facing Crocodile, then turning his hand into sand so the coarse grains run down all over Achilles' back and pool inside of his shirt, smirking at Achilles' full body shudder of discontent.
When Achilles' is doing something, he isn't the type to knock it off objects from his hands – no, he much prefers to block Achilles' way by planting himself in front of the younger male and refusing to budge, it's very amusing to him.
Using his powers to tie Achilles shoelaces together? All the time. Chuckling shamelessly when Achilles inevitably trips and falls? Of course.
Achilles: Why are you bullying me?
Crocodile: Seeing you struggle is very entertaining (reads: because I love you)
