De stof voor je trouwpak kiezen, zo doe je dat goed.
Bij het kiezen van de stof voor een trouwpak zijn er diverse afwegingen te maken.
Helaas staren veel bruidegoms zich blind op 1 ding en dat is de kleur. Uiteraard is de kleur van je trouwpak erg belangrijk. Maar de fout die men veel maakt is dat men dit baseert op foto's of visuals van het internet.
Probleem is dat foto's bewerkt zijn en je afhankelijk van je schermsetting altijd een andere kleur krijgt. Je ziet dus nooit hoe de stof echt is. Daarom is het belangrijk stoffen minimaal in het echt te zien. Maar dan ben je er nog niet.
Een stof is een complete beleving voor meerdere zintuigen. Denk aan het gevoel van de stof, de structuur/ textuur en dit heeft dan weer effect op hoe de stof zich gedraagt. Hiermee bedoel ik bijvoorbeeld hoe de stof valt, of deze warm of koel toont en voelt, welke associaties dit oproept en zo kan je nog wel even doorgaan.
Uiteindelijk moet je gewoon een stof kiezen die jij en je aanstaande mooi vinden maar het is best handig om wat richting te hebben om zo beter voorbereid te zijn en wel overwogen keuzes te maken. In deze video licht ik je meer toe over het kiezen van de stof voor je trouwpak op maat en hoe je dat goed kan doen.

Inleiding:
Vandaag licht ik je graag toe wat er komt kijken bij het creëren van maatpakken voor een bijzondere niche van ons bespoke kleermakers atelier: dirigenten en orkestkleding.
De Uitdaging van Orkestkleding:
Het vervaardigen van orkestkleding stelt ons voor unieke uitdagingen. Deze kleding moet de klassieke elegantie van een maatpak combineren met de functionaliteit van sport- en werkkleding. Elk detail, van de maakwijze tot de maatvoering en het materiaal, wordt zorgvuldig overwogen en aangepast aan de specifieke wensen van de klant.
Een Unieke Opdracht:
Onlangs kregen we de kans om te werken aan een bijzondere opdracht voor een kamerorkest - een trio dat met hun outfit iets unieks wilde neerzetten. Niet alleen moest hun kleding helpen bij hun performance, maar het moest ook duurzaam en praktisch zijn voor hun wereldwijde optredens.
Aandacht voor Bewegingsvrijheid en
Materiaalkeuze
:
Een cruciaal aspect bij orkestkleding is bewegingsvrijheid. Muzikanten moeten vrij kunnen bewegen, wat een precieze afstemming van het armsgat vereist. Dit balanceert tussen een strakke pasvorm voor schoonheid en voldoende ruimte voor comfort. Daarnaast is de stofkeuze essentieel; de materialen moeten kreukvrij zijn, niet te warm, en toch elegant vallen. Wij neigen vaak naar Merino-wol of Mohair voor deze opdrachten, vanwege hun uitmuntende kwaliteiten.
Het Persoonlijke Element:
Onze recente creatie voor het trio was een meesterstuk van personalisatie. Met een unieke kraagconstructie en een zijwaartse knopenrij creëerden we een jasje dat niet alleen stijlvol is maar ook perfect aansluit bij de individuele eisen van de muzikanten. Deze persoonlijke aanpak strekt zich uit tot de kleinste details, zoals de gewenste hoogte van de kraag en de aanpassing van de broek voor optimale prestaties tijdens het spelen van hun instrumenten.
De Finishing Touch:
De afwerking van elk kledingstuk in deze opdracht spreekt boekdelen over de zorg en aandacht die wij besteden aan ons ambacht. Van de keuze voor kreukvrije, lichtgewicht stoffen die toch elegant vallen, tot de persoonlijke aanpassingen die elk stuk uniek maken. Elk element, van de broekband tot de zakken, is handgemaakt en zorgvuldig overwogen om te voldoen aan de hoge eisen van de muzikanten.
Conclusie:
Het creëren van maatwerk voor orkesten is meer dan het samenstellen van stoffen en patronen. Het is een diepgaand proces dat begrip vereist van de unieke behoeften van muzikanten, een passie voor het ambacht, en de vaardigheid om elk stuk te personaliseren tot een verlengstuk van de artiest zelf. Bij ons atelier op de Bilderdijkstraat zijn we trots dat we deze unieke kledingstukken mogen creëren, die niet alleen bijdragen aan de performance maar ook een deel worden van de identiteit van elk orkest dat we kleden.

This dinner jacket in silk made in a double breasted model is a real statement piece. Very well suited for a night out, black tie events or just as a means for expressing one’s personal tastes.
This dinner jacket is made in a 4*2 double breasted model, with a peak lapel, straight pockets and 4 kissing buttons on the sleeve.
The most prominent aspect is the material and its colour. The choice was made for a violet 335 gram Dupioni silk by Holland & Sherry. This is a spun silk which bears natural inconsistencies in the fabric. This gives a characterful look and colours with a deep impact.
Next to the visual splendour, silk has a number of benefits.

Silk is very moisture absorbent.
Silk is cooling in the summer and warming in the winter.
