Daniel "Pop" Cooper, the first African American mailman in the City of Pittsburgh's history. College educated in the late 1800's at then Virginia Union College.
Pop scored so high on his civil service exam that they required him to take it again with extra monitors.
2nd time near-perfect score. Retired after 40+ years of service. Pop Cooper's son was NBA Pioneer and Hall of Famer Charles "Chuck" Cooper.
