#STAND UP FOR THE 25
Cyber bullying remains prevalent in our country ever since the pandemic started, that brought a very damaging consequences to individuals. Making comments or posts online that are deliberately abusive, offensive, threatening, or inflammatory. Liking and sharing this kind of abuse can also count as bullying and harassment.
Online bullies and harassers use all sorts of platforms, including social media (like Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and Instagram), forums, gaming sites, comments sections, mobile phone chat groups and more. It disrupts school life, has great emotional damage and may have fatal consequences. It is very common among teenagers, children, and pre-teens and occurs when one is threatened, harassed, embarrassed or humiliated with digital and interactive technologies, the internet or with mobile phones. Though technology has brought new opportunities for students and teenagers, it is important that everyone learn to use it responsibly.
There are things that we need to know to avoid cyber bullying. First, think before you post when posting or commenting online, consider what you say and what effect it may have. Also, never post comments that are abusive, threatening or are likely to cause offence to others. Keep personal information personal, do not say anything or publish pictures that might later cause you or someone else embarrassment. Be aware of what friends post about you, or how they reply to your posts – particularly about your personal details and activities. School management should put in place ways of identifying, preventing and responding to cyber-crimes in schools. Parents should also take up the responsibilities of protecting their children. Teenagers, on the other hand, should take the first measures necessary to prevent cyber-crimes and bullying.
With these, I decided to come up with the campaign entitled, “Stand Up For The 25”. This online campaign aimed to teach children when they see bullying to get out of line, and not to be afraid to intervene. We want to teach them to offer support and show sympathy. Showing support can make a huge difference for the person being bullied.

Why STEM?
The Senior High School students opting to take the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics - STEM Strand have a set of core subjects slightly different from those taking the other strands. It is one of the academic tracks that focuses in four specific disciplines such as Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
Why do you need to choose STEM as your Senior High School Strand? I choose STEM because it is accurate in the course that I want when I go to college. This strand offers a wide array of opportunities and it helps me give a little light about my lessons towards my college life. I want to pursue Civil Engineering or Chemical Engineering in college and I know that STEM strand is the compatible strand for my course in college. More of this, studying subjects like Calculus, Physics, Technology, Chemistry and others can make our mind advance and it makes us much prepared on college. Aside from improving student's learning, STEM also has a process of teaching and learning that offers students opportunities to make a difference. Another reason why most of the students choose STEM because most of the careers in STEM usually offer above-average salaries that will benefit them and support their living. STEM graduates have flexibility within their profession to pursue multiple career paths. There are so many courses in the Philippines that are mostly covered by STEM strand which are on demand in the industry and most of the time they are high-salary jobs. It's been predicted that 75 percent of all jobs require STEM skills over the next decade. STEM graduates earn 87% more than the average salary of the non-STEM graduate. As of now, Engineer, Pilot, Doctor, Architect and Ophthalmologist are the best paying job in the Philippines.
Apart from that for some, choosing the right strand is not just about making new friends and discovering new things related to a subject. More important, it is about envisioning your dream job and career path. Choosing a career is difficult in itself, but senior high school prepares you to make crucial decisions that will impact your future. Studying and working in STEM means learning about the world around you, finding innovative solutions to real-world challenges, and playing a role in some of the country’s major discoveries and developments.
