Elena Gilbert being a mom

I will die on the hill that Elena Marie Gilbert would have never had any biological kids unless she was absolutely certain her doing so would not result in more dooplegangers. Elena would not let another girl go through what she did in her teenaged years just because she wanted to have biological kids. She would never risk Klaus or anyone else using that girl for whatever magic or supernatural nonsense against her will. I understand Klaus did die but by the point Elena had a kid he was still alive and that does not stick with her protective nature at all. Elena wouldn’t have had kids unless she knew they’d be safe and any kids they had or their kids’ kids’ had would be out of reach. I’m not saying Elena wouldn’t have adopted or fostered kids, I think she would have and done wonderfully at it. I just do not think she would happily and willingly put another person go through what she did when she was a kid.

was damon really the right person to teach elena about bloodlust control?

stefan even tho he was a good guy and could keep himself, he still had symptoms of addiction and with humanity off it turned him into an unstable vampire. good to teach her how to manage her emotions, but not hunger.

damon indeed had control over his bloodlust....but are we really going to ignore how damon took advantage of her? he did not tell her what bloodsharing means, that it's for vampires an s-xual act. but he indeed enjoyed elena did not know. he fed on humans quite ofter and not because he had to, but because he wanted to and he wanted the same for elena, but she would pretty much be fine with bloodbags, but that's not what he wanted. he tried to insert the same mindset in elena to "make her more like him", but it ended up hurting elena. after all of that disgusting, manipulative behavior damon did in season 4 i still can't believe elena kept loving him. it was worse than before, much worse.

the one who should have teach her was caroline. there was also a scene where caroline handled her and taught her very well. experienced, with no intentions other than to help her friend. that's the mentor she needed.

This is my favorite thing to ask endgamers because they never have anything tangible to say beyond “well he’s funny”. I can name 100 reasons why she likes Matt’s personality or Liam’s or Stefan’s but I cannot name anything beyond “he’s funny” about Damon.

Elena looked at Stefan, “what would you have done Stefan? Mikeal was using Damon to get to me and Klaus. He wanted us dead, and I wasn’t risking you dying too.”

Stefan looked at Elena, “he’s my brother Elena, why wouldn’t you tell me?”

Elena frowned looking down, she knew it was a fair question to ask. “He asked me not to tell me, well told me not to tell you or Tyler. By the time I told Klaus he left and didn’t leave me with a way to get in touch with you to tell you.”

Stefan nodded, “he could have been killed Elena. My brother could have died.”

Elena flinched a little, he was mad and Elena didn’t blame him, if Stefan had known Jeremy was in danger and didn’t let her know she would have been livid. Elena would have been beyond words if she had been in Stefan’s shoes, having to find out from Klaus of all people. 

“I know,” Elena said her voice soft.
